After using my wheel hoe for 5 years now, really the single is the way to go. Straddling the plants looks great in theory, but in practice one can quickly run a single wheel hoe on one side and then return back on the other. Maneuvering is easier with the single wheel hoe. It is my preference!
The single is a bit more nimble. Glad you enjoy it!
I like to convert my double down to a single when the crops start to get big so it’s easier to fit down the rows.
We do that as well. We use the single for crops with narrow row spacings and the double for wider row spacings.

Good video Travis. I ordered and received a double Wheel Hoe with a single axle accessory kit. I believe I will have more use as a double wheel but I might need the smaller footprint for closer weed control and our daylily plants.

We'll never understand the thumbs down. We'll blindly and optimistically assume they accidentally hit the wrong button. Otherwise, maybe they just didn't find what they were looking for?
Just a suggestion.... Anyway to make a spreader bar in a "H" shape to allow more options in mounting attachments
We've talked about making grooves in the spreader bar so that the cultivator teeth and winged sweeps can be attached to it. That would open up quite a few new possibilities.

I've been looking at these wheel hoes for a while now and would like to get one sometime soon. I've never used one before, but question I keep having is, how is the wheel traction with it being smoothe? I'm sure it's nothing to worry about. I love that these and your other tools are made in the USA.
It's absolutely not an issue, and you never have to replace or air up the steel wheels, or worry about damaging them! Go ahead and place your order, you'll love it!
The purpose of the wheel is to provide a "float" for the toolbar and attachments. With some of the attachments, the wheel doesn't even touch the ground that much. With that being said, we have really slick, sandy soil and have never had an issue with it rolling. Because it's made with steel, it has plenty of weight to give it traction.
We need a plate to covert a High Arch to a Double/Single. I believe it can be done. I'm going to put effort into it.... just saying!
There are no common pieces except the wheels and handles. That makes the conversion impossible.
People who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those who are in the process of doing :) Old Chinese proverb or something...
I'll go ahead and put effort into it... it might be that I need to completely redesign a new wheel hoe, that can be converted. I believe I should not need to buy multiple implements when one can be created to do multiple things. It may well require a completely new base... but I do not believe it cannot be done. One just needs to start with the premise that I need a Wheel Hoe that can be configured to do multiple things... I need these wheels, handles, and implements to fit... and proceed from there. If I get it done, I'll post it here I have no intention of going into the business of selling them.
@@michaelmorris1802 I worked in Research and Development in the medical field. We had a mechanical engineer on our project that used to say " Never say it can't be done ".

If you had a way to know where your rows were located so that you didn't cultivate your plants.
