But they don't "copy" Kpop. And when people call them "Kpop wannabes" it's often used to demean them and to ridicule them, not praise them. That's why their fans hate it when people refer to them as Kpop wannabes. Because it's always used in a derogatory way. But they are PPop. They sing in Tagalog. It's just that they also dance and their fashion is influenced by Kpop. But there are so many other Asian artists that dance and sing like Kpop groups do. There's also Cpop, Jpop, Tpop and Apop. About their genre, for the last 3 years, it was really not accepted by some Filipinos due to the popularity of ballad and rap songs in the country like Ex Batallion. Some Filipinos would rather say they are 'Korean Wannabee' or something. SB19 really take risk and contributed fresh sound to Filipinos and corporates pop to the Philippines. Pop Genre does not belong to anyone. Not even Koreans. They just started on the early 1991 while Filipino Pop already started on 1970's. The good thing about K-Pop is that they really invest a lot on music videos, their style and performances. That is what SB19 envision to Pinoy Pop, to be known worldwide. Let us not forget that music is universal. We even corporates other culture as an inspiration and reference. J-Pop or Japanese Pop was inspired by American Pop while K-Pop was inspired through J-Pop and American Pop as well. Good thing about P-Pop genre, we are inspired by these 3 pop genre mixed with OPM touch. SB19 really take a risk on that and it works. As of the moment, many P-Pop fans are rising because of what SB19 had to offer and more Pinoy Pop Groups are rising. Including BGYO, Bini, ALAMAT, 1st One, Luna, MTB, XOXO, SB NewGen, BabyBlue, MNL48 and many more. Some casual listeners love their songs too.
For lack of better words, I understand why most people would use the word "copied/copying". But it has negative connotations. It would be preferable to use the word "inspired".
Yeah, that's why he's getting the hate due to bad wording. They cant really avoid the kpop formula because they _are_ in a korean company. Of course the Koreans there incorporated some things they are good at on SB19, that's why they got a little kpop feel. @@souhiyori8032 yeah exactly. Filipinos are very open to Western/American influence but when it comes to Asian influence, they start hating it, labeling them "unoriginals". 🥺 That mindset has to change. 🥺🥺💙
Copying and influence is just a whole other thing. KPOp is worldwide trend that's why lots of people would set standard base on how they used to. To make it clear " Nobody owns a certain genre" you can't say that they are trying to copy KPOp but instead a references on how they create music because they were trained under Korean management that helped them to improve their singing and dancing skills thats why there is no doubt that there are certain instances that the kpop influences are with them. -SKl
True. Not all artists, no matter how talented or long they've labored can break the glass ceiling and SB19 did it not just because they're talented, hard working, and passionate but because of the kind of individuals they are. Talent and dedication alone will not propel you to superstardom, sometimes it's you as a person that makes people want to admire and idolize. They have that in them. It's that humility and the rawness that makes them super relatable. They're not just pretty boys with make up. They can actually sing, dance, compose, produce, direct, and choreograph their own songs. But most importantly, they're real and it's not hard to tell. It simply radiates out of them. I just hope that fame will not get to them and that they continue to be those 5 boys who were once dreamers just like us. I have nothing but love for these boys. 💙
Hi Ovela, you can check the song Determinado compose by Pablo of SB19 and his brother Josue. Won Djooky award. And also sb19 cover song Hallelujah by bamboo & akala by josue. Thank you
Sir Ovela, if you want to have a conversation with them or any artist that you like, try to communicate with them. Message them, ask them if you can have a podcast or a video call with them. Please I want to watch your reaction when you can finally have a conversation with your favorite Filipino Artist.
Copying?? I dont think so. KPop is a world wide trend thats why lots of people would set standards based on how they used to. I dont get it, why people keep on insisting everytime they saw "PoP groups" that they're trying to copy KPOP." Nobody owns a certain genre" the influences form other groups serve as their references on how to make their own music, styles, fashion etc. I hope that we have that sense of universality in order to better understand how music influence people. No hate just stating facts😇
Agree. It's just so lame. As if they haven't been inspired from others. He should take himself as an example, he is not the first reactor to ever make reaction video's on musics for content, so basically the idea came from the person who started it all. Does that made him a copycat? But if he really thinks that way, maybe be really is also copying. bobo talaga

a Korean company called ShowBT held an audition for aspiring performers here in the Philippines (that’s why you can tell that the group somehow followed the K-pop formula, which is mainly the rigid training system). as to why they knew each other before the audition, they were in the same “dance cover group” community and have actually competed against each other (they weren’t an official group until their debut).
They are under Korean company that's why they something like Korean , but they can trained here in the Philippines, they are so talented , everyone of them are so humble and ginuen.. Pablo- The pinunu/Leader, song writer , main Vocalist, Rapper Stell- The Heavenly voice, Main Vocalist, Dance Choreographer Ken- The Main Dancer, second Choreographer, Vocalist Josh- The main Rapper, Vocalist , Justin - The creative Director, The Visual, The youngest member of the group . As a brand new A'TIN I would like to thank STELL for making SB19 possible. I am so emotional thinking that it almost didn't happen. I can't really choose which one of them I love more. Although PABLO, he's the one that made me keep looking at SB19. I was reluctant because I thought I would be too old to be a fan. But the heart wants what the heart wants. JOSH and KEN and JUSTIN are just as handsome, talented oh so lovable and humble. I love the fact that SB19 awakened my Filipino pride. I am nowhere near retirement age but I can't stop thinking of going back home for retirement.
Hi Ovela. Tony's father wanted a son but God blessed them 2 daughters. When his daughthers entered showbiz, he changed their Screen names to a Boys name. Alex's real name is Catherine while Tony's real name is Celestine
You think about your questions because you think about you being a producer though. Toni's questions are more about life and relatable. Not going deep particular about music. And I mean you are new to SB19 and you just saw their MV's and several live performances, you don't really know about their lives and what is going on with them for real.
When you said 5 mins film to the video you feel so much closer to them, I actually felt the same way when I first watched that interview and I became a fan to be honest. Kudos to them, indeed! 👏💜
Show BT(a korean company) branched out here in the Philippines. They're looking for a talented aspiring artist, so hundreds of auditiones including the five of them of course were chosen to train for years and every evaluation there's also elimination.
They're made from K-Pop formula because the company they belong to which is the ShowBT Philippines has a mother company in Korea, they're trained by a Korean company.
Given how hard SB19 works to promote happiness, inspiration, and music, all u can think about is hair color?the way they dress? These are musicians, dude:))
Justin is rich kid and studied in a private school but really humble. It's quite common for people in the Philippines not to brag about their achievements. Even Pablo feels shy when he is praised for his musicality and deflects attention from himself.
I'm so glad Ovela that you've watched this interview! Actually, I was one of those who asked you to give SB19 another chance and listen to them & at least know them coz they weren't just the "kpop wanna bees" thye truly are REAL TALENTS. SB19's management is SHOW BT(an event company) and it was this company that opens an audition searching for talented young Filipinos who want to be professional entertainers. According to SB19 they were divided into different groups and each will be evaluated weekly according to their performances. Pablo, Josh & Stell were the first 3 amongst the hundreds who auditioned, Justin joined the training upon Josh's invitation & Ken too (he was an acquaintance/competitor of Josh &Stell in KPOP dance cover competitions) was the last one to join the training and later ShowBT mgt. decided to launch them (Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken & Justin) as SB19!
Thank you Ovela for reacting to this long video. Im pretty sure comments will tell you all how they started, but incase you'll see this. They actually knew each other because they auditioned on this korean company who planned to create all filipino group using kpop formula. But there are lots of talent competition in the Philippines and thats where they have seen and known each other. Their experience are totally wonderful. Thank you because by reacting to this, you also shared knowledge on who SB19 are and hopefully many will support them more.
they were trained by a Korean company, but some of them already knew each other prior to being in the same competitions before. there are girl trainees as well but they're not an official group. they just trained together.
They are naturally gifted with talents, and ShowBT just honed them and taught them good etiquette, and proper exercises, for stamina and to be fit and healthy.
If you watch their Korea Times interview you will get the answers to most of your questions. The interview was when they went viral so it's a little old.

I tuned up on your channel due to I just wanna knw what foreigners think about Filipinos. I love your balance reviews and insights, your honesty and genuine personality. And I'm a fan of yours, now. 😇
I mean, they are handled by a Korean Company, so of course the company is incorporating the Korean Formula on their training and craft and of course also with Filipino style and ways as well, its a combination, and there's nothing wrong with that.
Saying that they're "copying" KPop is I think inappropriate. SB19 don't imitate Kpop, they are influenced by it since they're from a Korean agency and KPop is in trend. They use other genres as well to get ideas and that doesn't mean they're copycats. They learn from it and improve their performances. Be wise on how you point out your opinions next time. God bless.
I can say that one reason they took this kind of music is because the company is looking for trainees who can sing and dance and before they auditioned, they have an individual group and some of them already are dancing and competing abroad. That's why they took this kind of music ( dance and sing).
with apostraphe it emphasize A' then TIN, A stands for "Aurum" fanmade unofficial fandom of SB19, to commemorate the first few fans that believe in them. A'TIN.

I been waiting for this reaction to happen since I watch Toni Talks with SB19 😊
Hi Ovela, you can check the song Determinado compose by Pablo of SB19 and his brother Josue. Won Djooky award.
And also sb19 cover song Hallelujah by bamboo & akala by josue. Thank you
Sir Ovela, if you want to have a conversation with them or any artist that you like, try to communicate with them. Message them, ask them if you can have a podcast or a video call with them. Please I want to watch your reaction when you can finally have a conversation with your favorite Filipino Artist.
DEDICATION AND PERSEVERANCE
so proud of them
Iloveyou sb19 ❤❤❤
ez content lol, gatas na gatas na naman
Yes, they used Kpop formula BUT they are not Kpop Wannabes. Perfect example of Kpop wannabe is the group KAACHI
But if he really thinks that way, maybe be really is also copying. bobo talaga
Unsub niyo to A'tin ang hilig niyo mag request sa kanya to react SB19. Eh halatang nag rereact lang for views. Bakit di niyo na gegets. Di niya bet P-pop. Nag comment lang ako pero i don't watch his RVs
You should watch Josh Cullen's Vlog, his story before SB19 to know how he met the members. He is the recruiter of the group members.
Gatas na Naman🤣👌💲
a Korean company called ShowBT held an audition for aspiring performers here in the Philippines (that’s why you can tell that the group somehow followed the K-pop formula, which is mainly the rigid training system).
as to why they knew each other before the audition, they were in the same “dance cover group” community and have actually competed against each other (they weren’t an official group until their debut).
They are under Korean company that's why they something like Korean , but they can trained here in the Philippines, they are so talented , everyone of them are so humble and ginuen..
Pablo- The pinunu/Leader, song writer , main Vocalist, Rapper
Stell- The Heavenly voice, Main Vocalist, Dance Choreographer
Ken- The Main Dancer, second Choreographer, Vocalist
Josh- The main Rapper, Vocalist ,
Justin - The creative Director, The Visual, The youngest member of the group .
I know them really hahahaha I love you SB19💗💗💗💗💗
God's plan is always the best.💯
God bless us all.🙏❤
There’s always going to be jealousy. They are doing what they Love . Just ignore haters cause they can’t be where you are ❤
More Blessing and Nice Story SB19
☺️😍❤️

For some reason I was actually waiting for you to react to this interview. And finally. ☺
I like ur reaction mr. Ovela bcos u are a genuinely reactor.. God bless..
11:30 - 1 USDollar = 50pesos. 1500Pesos is 30USD
I knew this was coming! Yeyyy❤️❤️
Magandang gabi po kuya Ovela, from Pasig City..💙
This Idiot(Ovela)used to mocked them esp Stell
Now he change how he reacts cuz he received huge hate from d A’tin
ewan nauurat pa din ako sayo🥴
Thanks for your reaction...
Wow a heart from my idol reactor tnx
they were trained by a Korean company, but some of them already knew each other prior to being in the same competitions before. there are girl trainees as well but they're not an official group. they just trained together.
Resilience and perseverance 😊
I love how you reacted and your opinions,(on point) i understand and respect it 😊😊😇😇thank you for appreciating our boys 😊😊
This is awesome.
Thank you Sir Ovela for this wonderful rv.
Salamat po!
They are naturally gifted with talents, and ShowBT just honed them and taught them good etiquette, and proper exercises, for stamina and to be fit and healthy.
If you watch their Korea Times interview you will get the answers to most of your questions. The interview was when they went viral so it's a little old.
Toni didnt talk about it cause its been already asked by lots of interview ... 👍🏿
Up!
Watch the KwentoJuan Episode 5 & 6 some of the questions you wanted to know talked about in that interviews.
No, its not 'copying' coz i feel like its not the right term. After all, its more like 'idolizing' 🤗
please also react to Karen davilla , interviewed SB19 .. more blessings to come ovela ..
ps. im also a proud A'tin ,, love lots
If you want to know how they met and how they were named SB19, watch their Korean Times Interview. It’s in english. ☺️ It’s one of their earlier interviews after getting viral.
I really love this type of RV, thank you for this Ovela!
I hope when I come home makapanood ko kayo sa concerts are in the PHILIPPINES
I've been waiting for this.
thank you ovela for reacting to this interview more love to SB19
Thank you so much, Ovela💓
You can watch "the juans" interview. That interview is more detailed of how Sb19 started.
Etong reactor na to ginagamit Filipino for views. Kung sino sikat i rereact niya at hilig mag compare
Thanks Ovela.. I enjoyed watching this video with your honest reactions.. Very interesting.
Thank you again.. Mabuhay ka
It's not normal for us to not hear Toni's voice over sharing wisdom at the end. 😂
Thank you so much
Thankyou ovela to appreciate sb19 i know you have your own opinion and i respect that im fan of your's since 2018 and i discover sb19 in your channel because of someone commenting in your reaction video and i respect your opinion even though i don't agree sometimes but its ok we have a different perspective or opinion but I'm still support both of you hehehe
Yeah we gonna go up
💙
Well it's rlly inevitable for them to follow the "korean formula" since they are under a Korean Company 😅
What he meant by they had girls before was trainees supposed to debut as another group(girl group). ShowBT's original plan was to debut boy and girl group at the same time. 🥺
Ovela u could REACT OR WATCH IT YOURSELF THEIR INTERVIEW IN KOREAN TIMES all your unanswer question will be cleared their hopefully u could react it or watch it on ur time godbless👌👌👌💙💙
Hope ovela could watch the korean times
Out of context but when I heard it again from jah, I was laughing so hard, I'm crying. Mahirap nga naman talagang pagsabayin ang studies at pag-aaral 😂
Same hahahahaha
Buti nalang bumawi sa subtitle.🤣
I tuned up on your channel due to I just wanna knw what foreigners think about Filipinos. I love your balance reviews and insights, your honesty and genuine personality. And I'm a fan of yours, now. 😇
I mean, they are handled by a Korean Company, so of course the company is incorporating the Korean Formula on their training and craft and of course also with Filipino style and ways as well, its a combination, and there's nothing wrong with that.
Dapat nga tulungan para matulungan ang bansa like Korean supoertadi Ng gobyerno.
Thank you for reacting ovela!
The message is already in there song that there sang a capella
As i have read the one who uploaded their dance practice is a BTS fan who happened to watch the video of these boys.
beket eng deme neye peng neneneed ng rv nete HAHAHAHHAHA weg niyo ne pensenen ite HAHAHHAHAH pls
"ATIN" IS A TAGALOG WORD ... ITS MEANS "OURS"
with apostraphe it emphasize A' then TIN, A stands for "Aurum" fanmade unofficial fandom of SB19, to commemorate the first few fans that believe in them. A'TIN.
Thankyou 😘
Thank you my Idol Ovela for this💙 Thanks for the appreciation and pleaseeeeee always support them cause they deserve it. Don't mind the bashers, we, your fans are still more bigger than them
There's a vid where they discuss how they met. I Googled them also. I read they were in a competition.
I always watch your videos and sometimes get hurt but I am still here. First time to leave a comment.
Thanks for being vocal :)
Try reacting to this one. YOU'LL LOVE IT!!!
Gary V. - spain (via 107.5 bus)
Trust me. It's considered as one of the BEST performance at the bus. It might be THE BEST OVERALL.🤯
As a Filipino myself. I was shocked I haven't watched it earlier. Just watched it 2 days ago. 👌👌👌
