Shakira has a natural yodel which is done in country music, so bravo to Blake for probably coming up with the idea to use Shakiras beautiful unique voice for this song. I love this song been actually jamming out to it recently alot, kinda became one of my top favorite songs. So to run into this duet I have never heard till today has took me back. I’m gonna have to disagree with you . I find her voice monotonous and boring . Her real voice does not sound like this at all and I know it because I’m originally from Colombia too and I used to like her first album . Yes, I know artist’s’ voices evolution but her voice sounds too forced in many many songs .

The crazy thing about Shakira's voice is that is very powerful, deep and involving. So there might have a lot of artists that would have a higher voice range but she would still overpower them with her vibrato.

As a fan of hers, loved the exposure to American audiences, beyond just knowing her as Shakira the singer that comes out with an album and a tour every then and now. Seasons 4 and 6 were amazing. Always hoped for a season with Adam, Shakira, Xtina and Blake as coaches.
