DBC Meeting: Willowbrook Master Plan + Traveling with eBird

The September 8th, 2022 meeting of the DuPage Birding Club featured a detailed update of Willowbrook Wildlife Center's master plan, plus a long-awaited look at a way to use eBird while traveling.
First, the DBC welcomed Stephanie Touzalin, Education Specialist for the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County. Stephanie-with the aid of some adorable images-speaks on the mission and planned improvements to Glen Ellyn's Willowbrook Wildlife Center.
Known throughout the region as a center for bird and wild animal rehabilitation, Willowbrook holds a key position in maintaining the health of the bird population in DuPage and surrounding counties. At 48:45, the DBC’s VP, Mike Warner, shares some techniques he uses to find birds in unfamiliar areas of the globe using eBird. Even if you are just going for a couple of days on business, or to visit family, eBird just might help you find a couple of lifers while you are there.
