@@jayvonmenjivar2941 well now...Dawn of the Future is a other what-if story that gets an even happier ending. Luna comes back from the dead and starts absorbing daemons, becomes friends with the Emperor of Nifilheim's estranged daughter and successor to Nifilheim's remains. She talks to Arydn and convinces him to join her cause. Noctis doesn't fight Ardyn in Insomnia, in fact he doesn't fight Ardyn at all, he has to fight the demonized Luna, but this fight is cut short by the appearance of Bahamut who takes all the darkness from Luna and reveals that his original intention was to destroy all life on Eos but he was stopped way back in the day when the Astrals banded together to stop him. This time though the Astrals weren't strong enough to stop him and this time it falls to Noctis and Ardyn to team up and kill Bahamut. So Ardyn sacrifices himself to kill Bahamut in "the beyond" while Noctis and the boys kill Bahamut in Eos. During the fight Noctis breaks Bahamut's mask and realizes that Bahamut looked like Noctis and surmised that Somnus (Ardyn's brother) must have been favored by Bahamut because they looked similar. So in the end of the Dawn of the Future, Noctis and Luna get married, and have two beautiful children, and Ardyn gets his revenge on the gods for their betrayal and finally gets to be at peace with his love Aera (who incidentally is Luna's ancestor) And the Scourge is purged from the world alongside all the magic in the world
Just imagine after this ending they all go back to the open land of eos and group everyone together and have a huge campfire and everyone is happy...all but noctis...because ignis is watching from the corner of his eye making sure noctis eats his veggies...
The king starts sweating because he is STILL being mother-henned by his adviser. Inner thoughts of Noctis, "Why is he still going on about this? I am 30, Iggy! You want me to eat my vegetables!? Fine! There, I ate a spoonful of peas. HAPPY NOW!?!?" Inner thoughts of Ignis, "Please let him be mature enough to actually eat what's on his plate. He noticed me staring. S**t. Oh, he has peas on a spoon. Now he's chewing them while glaring at me. Wait, he stopped chewing and is now just glaring at me. Is he waiting for a nod of approval??"
Rizal F.X I too, recently finished the game, although I prefer the normal ending. Dying for your people is one of the most noble things a man could do, and an ending such as that brings tears to my eyes
Well it turns out the ending for the game isn’t cannon. They made a book where the actual cannon ending is. The reason we got this ending in the game where he sacrifices his life was because it was rushed. The games story wasn’t complete so it was concluded to that. But basically the cannon ending is noctis and Luna get their happy ending. It’s a lot to explain but it turns out that bahamut is actually the bad guy and Ardyn is actually the good guy
i will give y hints aternatiVe gladiolus : lets just hope this isn't some omen noctis dreams and Carbuncle nocts father love umbra realiTys Ardyn : erase me from history once more? TIME play ardyns dlc and read the book dawn of the future
It’s sad that noctis died in the original ending but at the same time I found it beautiful but sad that it showed what could have been with king noctis and lunafreya hugging on his shoulder and then that leads to the new title art and now we know it was her all along 🥺 how beautiful but tragic
You gotta remember the fact that even if Noctis survives, Ardyn is always around and purging darkness around all over, and on top of it all Noctis lives alone as king without his beloved unlike the first ending where they showed the afterlife of the two. I swear it's very hard since we all want Noctis alive but at the end, it is not the pure happy ending for everyone, in my opinion I still love this ending cuz I've been playing with these characters for many many hours of a journey
I dont think this branch make him alive, if he alive that means no dawn. I think this cutscene was made as a trailer for dawn of the future, that no one die as same as luna and noctis get married at the end of the game (officiak ending)
spoiledsandi typical anime trick. Wanna make a guy older? Just give him facial hair, now he’s automatically at least 30 lol. But they really did make Noctis, Ignis, Gladio and Prompto look older in the face but on Ravus, it looks like they just gave him a beard
i absolutely love how they made him look like an actual person, like he looks like he could be one of the producers in this game instead of a character in it
I still wish one day they "remake" the game and have these DLC episodes (maybe not Ardyn since that's good on it's own) integrated in the main game, the structure would help the main storyline have great tension and clearer development for the main charcters and even the side charcters like Cor, Arenea, and Ravus. It'll make the whole experience feel complete and brings some immersion instead of having to use menus to access them. I just love this game and I feel like it's potential is being held back by these decisions.
There was supposed to be a big DLC where A God of Fate was forcing Ardyn to take the throne and at first he didn't want to do it but was forced to by this God then Noctis and his gang realized what lied ahead in the future so they all team up together with Ardyn to have a great battle against this God of faith to practically choose their own fates and live their own lives and when this God is finally brought down the true happy ending happens Ardyn is free and can live his life not forced to hurt people all for a Gods amusement, Noct becomes king and is living happily married to Lady Luna. And Peace is restored to the World.
Thus, combining that planned canon ending with this ending creates the best future. Some elements of each might need to be finessed to fit the other, but there is a FFXV universe where Ardyn, Ignis, Luna, and Noct all made the specific necessary decision to allow Noctis, Luna, and Ravus to live while Ignis retains his eyesight and the Starscourge is purged. That is my FFXV ending, gaining the brightest day from the darkest night.
And now just let it sink in what kind of different ending we could have gotten if episode lunafreya wouldnt have been canceld so many possible ways to go maybe even an ending were luna and noct could have been spending there lives together insted of afterlifes -_- but we will never know
We do know...the cancelled episodes, or at least Episode Noctis (which was supposed to contain the alternate ending), were released as books. _The Dawn of the Future_ as it was titled.
I haven’t Dawn of the Future yet, but from what I heard the alt ending would’ve involved a redemption arc for Ardyn, banishing the Star scourge, and Luna and Noctis getting their happily ever after
I love the original ending and think the story is a masterpiece as far as Final Fantasy games go. I prefer this ending though because I'm getting tired of all the sad endings.
I just finished the Main Story and good god this helps reducing the Pain (i will play this as soon i have the strength). Less death and sadness. Now a magical whatever spell, since Noct is the all mighty King of Light and above all Gods, he should be able to bring Waifu back to life. Just do it.
I like the normal ending. When I was playing I was rushing through because all I wanted to do was get to Luna. And when she died I cried and every time luna came up it made me more happy. So when they get reunited after life that gave me happiness/sadness.
I prefer this ending too, Noctis had the duty to fulfill his destiny to destroy the usurper and for the other hand he will give his life for his people! So much more poetic and coherent.
I'm glad they gave us Episode Ardyn, it brought light and made the ordeal of the true ending less confusing, This ending I treat as a What-If Material for a Sequel.
I have a feeling this Ending leads to the Dawn of the Future ending, like some how, Noctice has find out that Buhamut is the real villain, and when he and everyone is entering the castle, is not to kill Ardyn, but Ardyn is waiting in the throne room for them to go kill Buhamut together. 🤔
@@pipedream2556 the development for this unfortunately got canceled and scraped to novel, in the dawn of future, luna is revived by bahamut to start tera flare (welp bahamut say to luna that he revived her to help noctis) but luna in the end notice that and ardyn fight agains his fate and noctis then give ring of lucis to ardyn and all of them fighting bahamut to stop him starting tera flare. i think this is canon and the true ending where noctis mary luna in the end (ardyn died because using the ring power, magic gone because bahamut died) but not made to the dev and canceled because tabata resign.
Until you realize that's not noctis on the throne. This video doesn't show it but, ardyn tells ignis no one has ever called him "your majesty" which is what he mouths at the end. In other words, that's ardyn on the throne.
YESSS WALK TALL TOGATHER!!!!THIS IS THE ENDING IM LOOKING FOR...I mean after playing the game the first I got was noct having to separate from the group...which I admit, made me cry for a while...but seeing there's a better ending in ignis episode....SO BE ITTT
The alternate ending for Episode Ignis is intriguing, but left many questions for me: If the crystal's healing capabilities is canon, why was Ignis not healed in the true ending? What did Ignis and the group traveling with him in the credits learn by searching the Kings resting place? What happened to Ideolas in this alternate ending? How did the group perish the starscourge? Why did Cor not join them in the final battle, and would Bahamut approve of Noctis choosing another path to stop the "usurper" was also left unanswered here, since the Astrals were determined to help guide Noctis to sacrifice himself for Eos. I felt that this was hastily written and not complete, despite that I too want the characters to find an alternative to eradicate the starscourge.
When I first saw ignis(way back then even from FF XIII versus) I always thought that he's gonna be the spy type or the backstabber type to noctis, but damn how this game prove me wrong, he is the most loyal of all four of them
just imagine if Dawn of the Future was finished and sent out as the last and final DLC, even grumpy Ravus will see his beloved sister have a happy marriage with King Noctis
I finished the game yesterday and was crying nonstop because Noctis died!!! Now, im interested on buying the Episode DLCs especially the one with Ignis and Ardyn. Man, I wish this ending is canon! I just want everyone to be alive :(
it was said that ignis devised a plan to end the endless night and destroy ardyn without noct sacrificing himself. a little vague but you get the picture. its non-canon after all.
It just occurred to me that if the wedding actually did go through, Ravus would've been Noctis' brother-in-law. That would mean that Ravus tried to kill someone meant to be his brother...
There's a little problem. For the Starscourge to disappear, the king must use his powers. And contrary to what many people think, he doesn't have to die, it's not a scenario that would be impossible considering the lore, assuming doing so kills Ardyn with everything else. Ardyn didn't have to die to purge the world. However, he absorbed everything which cast a curse on him. What if 2000 years ago, Ardyn refused to sacrifice himself to stay in power, defying the gods, without knowing that it would be that harmful to him. Noctis could be in the same situation. Well, except Noctis was already accepted by the Crystal. So it's not clear how everything works after that. What also isn't clear is how Ardyn managed to do all of that before being accepted by the crystal. But if they did it the same way, it would probably lead to the same output. Maybe the gods insisted on Noctis doing it by sacrificing himself to prevent another curse.
Windvern Ardyn was told by the gods to destroy the starscourge. Instead, he absorbed it, thus disobeying a direct order from the gods, who then deemed him unworthy of becoming the first king, giving the title to Ardyn's brother, Somnus Izunia.
I remember the first time I've played Ignis DLC and feeling incredibly upset knowing that just one choice is what decided it all. In the real storyline Ignis knew how things will end! (so it was even more heartbreaking for me). And in the "other ending" everything was fine! No 10 years of darkness, no Noctis death... Just due to the choice of one man... damn And he should wear his hair down all the time... Like Prompto. Both look better that way...
Rumor has it that there was cut content were when you meet Ardyn in Insomnia you would have the choice to fight him like the base game, or team up with him to fight Bahamut and fight against fate.
i wonder if there would be a Final Fantasy XV - 2 tho, and that the story would take place...maybe with a year after FFXV, from the original ending, or during the reset where noctis and his friends were 'reborn' to where noctis was sent away by regis to get married to Luna, but this time, Arydn never existed...... great now I got the Sailor moon lore mixed up into this...
Well we also kinda have to remember she was only 15 when Noct was 20 and while the game can show a crush a girl has on an older boy (its quite normal) they can't show anything more until after the time skip and by then I don't think Noct would even want to date for awhile after what he went through. Of course that's just my opinion. (They would be cute though😊)
I prefer the original ending as it explains the reason of the movie Kingsglaive and the fate of Lunafreya, Noctis and even Gentiana aka Shiva and the ring. This is just a twist ending but if you want to understand the real story behind, it really goes to the original ending. Noctis father and Lunafreya already foresaw this future.. they knew that the ring which Noctis could held will make Ardyn mortal and stop his scourge and bring light back to the world at the cost of his own life. It took10 long years because Noctis was not ready during the time he was absorbed by the crystal. It is indeed a tragic ending. The rest of the ending is not really messed up. It was made for players to creatively think what happens afterwards.. some say, all of them died, some say the three is alive. What I can say is I enjoyed the game and for me, the ending is that all of them died fulfilling their duties, the scene where the three bids farewell while Noctis goes up the stairs to enter the room with the throne and they stayed behind while daemons appeared, to me, that scene is an interpretation of their downfall while standing their ground for Noctis to stop Ardyn. The rest is alive in hammerhead and as mentioned, all survivors are safe in Lestallum including Cindy, Iris, Cid and Aranea
this ending is so underwhelming... the original ending was better, and its more fitting end to the series. they can just do what FFX did, they made X-2 just to revive Tidus as secret ending. they can do that with the incoming DLC. ep: Luna (events before after her death) and ep: Ardyn (events before and after his death) both endings are them meeting in the place before the afterlife, Luna got captured by Ardyn for something-something so he can go back to life. then make a final episode DLC, where Luna call for help to Noctis during his sleep, wake up, used his powers to go wherever they are, Solo. fight some past enemies and bosses they encountered. the fight Ardyn for the last time. rescue her and bring her back to life. that scene you saw in the original ending will play and extended to reveal his friends entering the throne to go and fetch him to meet his friends, allies and people outside the castle cheering them, cause its actually his coronation of the new king and queen. the end... thats how you do a happy ending. and it fits pretty well.
the original was the perfect bittersweet ending, sure, its a little vague, but most people interpret it that they both died and finally together forever. specially the part where the complete logo appeared at the end. the feels! besides i think this is not an alternate ending, but a incomplete part of the whole ending (also includes the first ending), as soon as the other DLC comes, more scenes will be added, and more questions answer. who knows, maybe ardyn is still lingering somewhere for a final fight and maybe able to bring back luna. and the original ending is probably them alive, just chilling on the repaired castle, and those flower petals are probably from his coronation OR royal wedding.
Lloyd James they already did, even if noctis died, his friends are still there to make sure, rebuild it. The citizens, soldiers and nobles that are scattered around the world can come back. Sure it won't be a kingdom anymore, but at least it's back on its feet. Besides it felt empty without Luna.
so basically if ignis wasn't late and was actually earlier than noctis by a few minutes or hours the story would've changed by this much where they don't die? damn man seriously why didn't we go for this ending in the first place
If this is the canon eding then there will be part 2. I love this ending than the real ending. I think the creatives rushed on finishing the real ending.
They should have added Ravus to the main party, there should have been more time spent in the latter part of the time gap, it would have felt more like a final fantasy if these things had happened.
I'm torn. The original ending has so much impact. This ending, though, is what many desire: a dawn where Noct has saved Eos, has undergone, completed and bested the trials that had been set in store for him; he is now the one, true King of Lucis. The original ending stays true to the consequence of accepting one's fate. This ending, however, acknowledges the weight of the burden on Noct's shoulders and makes winning synonymous with living. Either one is pretty good, in my opinion. But if I could be honest in my heart of hearts, I would want for Noct to have both fulfilled the prophecy, given Ardyn the rest and peace and justice that he deserved, and be triumphant enough to earn the rest of his life back as both king and simply Noct. More than anything, it was the second bit that Regis wanted for his son more than anything. It's the reason why he said never told Noct about his fate, wanting to protect his son: he wanted Noct to live an ordinary, unencumbered life for as long as he could. With the Scarscourge having been banished, I believe Regis, both as a father and a king, would have rejoiced knowing that Noct had kept his promise to Eos, but that to make things fair, he would want Noct to be free to pursue a life of his own, outside the complicated tangle of all of the Astrals' machinations. With his chocobros at his side.

During the fight Noctis breaks Bahamut's mask and realizes that Bahamut looked like Noctis and surmised that Somnus (Ardyn's brother) must have been favored by Bahamut because they looked similar.
So in the end of the Dawn of the Future, Noctis and Luna get married, and have two beautiful children, and Ardyn gets his revenge on the gods for their betrayal and finally gets to be at peace with his love Aera (who incidentally is Luna's ancestor)
And the Scourge is purged from the world alongside all the magic in the world
The ending Final Fantasy XV needed, but not the one the lore deserved...
MindNumbingInc the lore was great. It was the game that did not deserve the lore.
This ending is a mess
The game is a mess, but I still love it tho

@@Chris-gj6je fkn how? It explains everything
HAPPY NOW!?!?"
Inner thoughts of Ignis, "Please let him be mature enough to actually eat what's on his plate. He noticed me staring. S**t. Oh, he has peas on a spoon. Now he's chewing them while glaring at me. Wait, he stopped chewing and is now just glaring at me. Is he waiting for a nod of approval??"
@@MasterJennaMcLain This breaks my heart 😭
I just finished the game, hate the actual ending.
this is THE ENDING I NEED,this healed my heart
This chapter is possibilities this actually happened(alternative realities)but this is not the true ending because
i will give y hints

gladiolus : lets just hope this isn't some omen

Ardyn : erase me from history once more?
TIME
play ardyns dlc and read the book dawn of the future
8:10: Your Majesty, I've come up with a new recipeh!
Well at least Iggy has his eyesight
He never really needed his glasses
In the end they all went to that Boy Band in the sky where there is unlimited black eyeliner and My Chemical Romance tickets are always 20% off.

+King Riku well umm... where do I start...

Ravus be lookin like Santa Claus
None of your business lmao right I was looking at why they just slapped a beard on his face to make him look older
Your profile, Kratos looks like Titan.
spoiledsandi typical anime trick. Wanna make a guy older? Just give him facial hair, now he’s automatically at least 30 lol. But they really did make Noctis, Ignis, Gladio and Prompto look older in the face but on Ravus, it looks like they just gave him a beard
the blade raveus gave notics looks like gensis blade from cris core / final fantasy 7
Noct looks badass with the beard.
i absolutely love how they made him look like an actual person, like he looks like he could be one of the producers in this game instead of a character in it
man ravus looks good with a beard
Idk he looks like he has a milk mustache
Santa Claus
I thought I could escape this fandom, well here I am once again.
Fuck it, this ending is canon enough for me
KingzShots TRC jejeje XD
Same XD, the other ending is the alternative ending
KingzShots TRC mee too , its not enouuuughh
Alternate Reality was confirmed a while ago so even the main game's ending is considered AU.
+Scheudo who said that?
And now just let it sink in what kind of different ending we could have gotten if episode lunafreya wouldnt have been canceld so many possible ways to go maybe even an ending were luna and noct could have been spending there lives together insted of afterlifes -_- but we will never know
We do know...the cancelled episodes, or at least Episode Noctis (which was supposed to contain the alternate ending), were released as books. _The Dawn of the Future_ as it was titled.
I haven’t Dawn of the Future yet, but from what I heard the alt ending would’ve involved a redemption arc for Ardyn, banishing the Star scourge, and Luna and Noctis getting their happily ever after
Am I the only one who was sitting there the whole time just like. “Iris is a better choice” or “Well that chick is gone time to go back and get Iris”
@@MartialArtsMaster14 I always took the normal ending as the happy ending. He gets to be with his dad and with his wife.
@@97dusk In that ending do they get married alive and is Luna in the story all the way through?
I love the original ending and think the story is a masterpiece as far as Final Fantasy games go. I prefer this ending though because I'm getting tired of all the sad endings.
I just finished the Main Story and good god this helps reducing the Pain (i will play this as soon i have the strength). Less death and sadness.
Now a magical whatever spell, since Noct is the all mighty King of Light and above all Gods, he should be able to bring Waifu back to life. Just do it.
I know right!! I cried a lot at the ending and this is so good, course I cried but bc I was happy. ^^
Sameee
Same. Just finished the main story a few days ago and was happy to find this, but I need more time to heal lol
I wish there was a alternate ending for zack fair :(
Well, today is your lucky day.
Seems like your prayers have been accepted
Holy shit i forgot about this comment
Lmaoo
Is there some sort of Zack Fair alternate ending out there?
I prefer the normal ending better. Made me cry, after experiences multiple hours of the journey with the boys. Plus I'm a sucker for tragedy.
It made me cry too...but for my time.
Super same.
How doe you get to that ending normally?
@@IricAlexis I think it is Canon because that was the intended "change" they wanted for the main ending.
Holly shit this ending is heartwarming enough for me!
Until you realize that's not noctis on the throne. This video doesn't show it but, ardyn tells ignis no one has ever called him "your majesty" which is what he mouths at the end. In other words, that's ardyn on the throne.
13thSinner How'd you know this? So in this alternate ending Noctis didn't banish the whole Ardyn?
I'm going to pretend the original didn't happen, since that one makes me cry.
I like this ending better! At least our boys are stylill alive
It’s just fan service alternate ending
When I first saw ignis(way back then even from FF XIII versus) I always thought that he's gonna be the spy type or the backstabber type to noctis, but damn how this game prove me wrong, he is the most loyal of all four of them
This is the ending we got! I am oblivious to any other ending!
Bahamut: Wait, that is illegal!
Of course Gladio is the first to see Ignis wake up
This literally could have been the best final fantasy
just imagine if Dawn of the Future was finished and sent out as the last and final DLC, even grumpy Ravus will see his beloved sister have a happy marriage with King Noctis
I’ll take this ending over the other more sucky one it’s confirmed Ignis is the mvp 😂
IM NOT CRYING MY EYES ARE JUST SWEATING
Omg me too ...,
Me three
Was crying... But then saw this.
I LOVE THIS ENDING! This is my ending. 🤕
This is my ending, the others are nope
I finished the game yesterday and was crying nonstop because Noctis died!!!
Now, im interested on buying the Episode DLCs especially the one with Ignis and Ardyn.
Man, I wish this ending is canon! I just want everyone to be alive :(
Whoa I almost thought Noct was about to warp strike ignis lol
And how the hell do I get this non-soul destroying ending? LOL
Ignis Episode DLC
literally one fucking option leads to slight happiness
it was said that ignis devised a plan to end the endless night and destroy ardyn without noct sacrificing himself. a little vague but you get the picture. its non-canon after all.
@@yeetpolice223 nope fans want it canon so they made it canon. its the second timeline
Royal edition pay 5 dollars...
It just occurred to me that if the wedding actually did go through, Ravus would've been Noctis' brother-in-law. That would mean that Ravus tried to kill someone meant to be his brother...
This is thee best alternate ending so far
Somnus Izunia Caelum, Ardyn Lucis Caelum to Somnus Lucis Caelum? Or Ardyn Izunia?
Uh materia, Mako energy, Sephiroth, Aerith. See, I can speak ff talk.
6:12 "dude, how did you get here? it took us fucking hours of gameplay and a shit ton of potions"
This is my cannon now because this one made me happy and not depressed y’know
5 years later and this is my first time seeing this 😲 where have i been
I remember the first time I've played Ignis DLC and feeling incredibly upset knowing that just one choice is what decided it all.
In the real storyline Ignis knew how things will end! (so it was even more heartbreaking for me). And in the "other ending" everything was fine! No 10 years of darkness, no Noctis death... Just due to the choice of one man... damn
And he should wear his hair down all the time...
Ignus looks damn good with his hair non-spiked
I just want an ending with Luna and Noct alive, married and together! Maybe even with a kid as king and queen!
We dont get the happy ending we want the the one the devs give us
Sure!
@Gio Miracle dude what's the video called
@@Kame_Kun NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO the DLC's got cancelled
@@Kame_Kun ha ha got cancelled. very sad
is it implying that Noctis gave up his hearing for Ignis to keep his eyesight? That would be very bittersweet ngl
I wonder if in this alternative ending if Noct and Iris became a thing.
joshua frazier it probably would've taken awhile but yeah. Iris totally would've at least confessed.
It’s depressing that Iris had more character development than Luna :/
Well we also kinda have to remember she was only 15 when Noct was 20 and while the game can show a crush a girl has on an older boy (its quite normal) they can't show anything more until after the time skip and by then I don't think Noct would even want to date for awhile after what he went through. Of course that's just my opinion. (They would be cute though😊)
Raven Moniz theres a reason why iris has a crush on noct its in the anime and in her bio
Possibly, she really was persuasive lol. It's a shame we didn't get to see her grown up
I prefer the original ending as it explains the reason of the movie Kingsglaive and the fate of Lunafreya, Noctis and even Gentiana aka Shiva and the ring. The rest is alive in hammerhead and as mentioned, all survivors are safe in Lestallum including Cindy, Iris, Cid and Aranea
this ending is so underwhelming... the original ending was better, and its more fitting end to the series.
they can just do what FFX did, they made X-2 just to revive Tidus as secret ending.
they can do that with the incoming DLC. ep: Luna (events before after her death) and ep: Ardyn (events before and after his death) both endings are them meeting in the place before the afterlife, Luna got captured by Ardyn for something-something so he can go back to life.
then make a final episode DLC, where Luna call for help to Noctis during his sleep, wake up, used his powers to go wherever they are, Solo. fight some past enemies and bosses they encountered. the fight Ardyn for the last time. rescue her and bring her back to life. that scene you saw in the original ending will play and extended to reveal his friends entering the throne to go and fetch him to meet his friends, allies and people outside the castle cheering them, cause its actually his coronation of the new king and queen. the end...
thats how you do a happy ending. and it fits pretty well.
arsetothem I hope they go according with your plan!
Naw this ending was better than original. That one was underwhelming
the original was the perfect bittersweet ending, sure, its a little vague, but most people interpret it that they both died and finally together forever. specially the part where the complete logo appeared at the end. the feels!
besides i think this is not an alternate ending, but a incomplete part of the whole ending (also includes the first ending), as soon as the other DLC comes, more scenes will be added, and more questions answer.
who knows, maybe ardyn is still lingering somewhere for a final fight and maybe able to bring back luna.
and the original ending is probably them alive, just chilling on the repaired castle, and those flower petals are probably from his coronation OR royal wedding.
arsetothem but if that’s the case then wat was the whole purpose of the take back the kingdom crap
“Iggy.”

If this is the canon eding then there will be part 2. I love this ending than the real ending. I think the creatives rushed on finishing the real ending.
No. The real Ending, especially with Royal Edition, is the best one. This one is bad.

Ignis dlc alternate ending
At 6:24 isn't that genisis blade from cris core / final fantasy 7?
This is the canon ending in my eyes.
8:12 "That's it!"
This is how the ending should’ve been
Ignis looks like travis touchdown but blondy
This is canon. Change my mind

this game dwells in alternate timelins so this is as cannon as the ending where Noctis became evil and destroyed the world.
This is Nokia. Change my mind
8:11 notice that, no scar at all. That means this is not the ending of the branch, it might be the ending of new dlc titled 'dawn of the future' that got cancelled. No one die there, happy ending.
