Kim said she took 10 times before getting into SQ, but she subsequently became SQ ‘ calendar girl’, appearing in yearly SQ calendar and on onboard post card, she was quite well known amount her colleagues before leaving SQ. How time flies, we’re all in our fifties now!!

I was doubling over in laughter when she told us the story about the two twin sisters during her flight attendant days. But it's true, that saying.

omg, only kym ng can make me laugh. i am watching this series backwards, starting from the newer episodes, only come to her episode i laughed out loud so much, hahahah. no bias, she just has a comedic quality.

Can’t believe she tried 10 times. That’s why- since I went thru interviews on my 1st try, among my 9 friends, I just went ahead. Same as Kym’s reason - rebellious!!!
I don't understand why some people have to interview for 10 over times to get a job but some only take one try? Too subjective.
Joey Wan Freedom the Ppl interviewing are current cabin crews- they kinda look for “personable”, humble , look at their eyes while they are talking, no fidgety behaviours. They also keen in how you carry on the conversations when they ask you. If you sound intimidating, voice too Low, or too high pitch, or even when you smile with creases in the eyes.., they won’t like it. They deem these characteristics to be non-SIA. After few yrs, I also learnt how to assess/gauge someone in first 5 mins! Form opinions of ppls personality from the start (quite spot on). If you have friends in SQ, maybe they can share w you. We kinda know if someone is faking it or genuine. Sorry not sure if all these makes sense to you- I tried to elaborate as best I can!
@@maehtanMy story: I am 157cm but the minimum is 158cm. I went through the kebaya round a few times. The last 4 years I went for more than 10 interviews already. This January somehow I was finally measured 158cm but fail skin check. Applied again in March but due to covid no recruitment. I got into a foreign airline company 2 years ago. Met a lot of crew who can actually do the job well even though they don't meet the "sq standard". Also met crews that magically pass the interview but can't deliver at work. A lot of skills can be learned. I feel that having the right attitude is the most important.

Trying to follow korean taiwan variety when they pan out to BTS staff to draw inclusiveness and endearment to viewers but I don’t think they are achieving the effect
