bias was the word you were looking for and thank you for leaving that part in. personal biases are an important thing for us all to pay attention to.
So curious about this foundation, looks awesome so far. Reg filling in smile lines Kathleen Lights talked about it in that video she did with RawBeautyKristi & said its finicky to get enough but NOT look like a bulldog & since you use so little it has to be done more often. I'm 42 & couldn't care less about smile lines because it's a thing I find attractive in people. Big smiles that makes the whole face go squish😍. But I already know I'm not the norm so 🤷

10:05 the complacency is so real! Ever since they came out with highlighters I've been saying how I think it's a great change to see Juvias count going from darkest to lightest. It really is interesting how complacent and programmed we are, especially those of us with skin in the lightest spectrum.

I have such dry skin that I have never been able to enjoy full coverage foundations. I prefer a lighter coverage personally. I do love Juvia's Place though. I am so happy to see this launch do well for her.
It's not drying to me and I have eczema. Of course I put on moisturizer and primer. But I don't have a single dry patch.

I saw this foundation on display in Ulta over the weekend. The darkest shades were in the front row and it was completely refreshing!

Juvias place highlighters and loose highlighters are some of the most beautiful highlighters I've ever seen!! U must try. Get the loose one. Wet ur brush and then apply

I'm going to start calling my smile lines the Nile river too. I have such a hard time finding a foundation that doesn't look horrible and exaggerate my smile lines.
I just tried both today (Vienna and 23) and I love it!! It lasted more than 8 hours on me. Looked practically flawless skin wise. Crazy amazing! Btw, their two toned foundation brush is the best!! So impressed!!

I just always love your content! I'm 44 now, and have used filler in my smile lines, and only felt I needed to do it every 2-3 years, as putting that stuff in builds up my own collagen. I only need the tiniest touch each time, too. And I love your thoughtful commentary on the numbering system and your preconceived notions - this is why you rock!

I have seen two other reviews. One review, I believe that the person used too heavy of an application, seeing its so full coverage. Another review, the person has dry/combo skin. She mixed in some facial oil and it helped her dry areas. I am so pleased that Juvia's is making diversity a standard for their brand 💜💜💜.

From the other reviews I've seen, they've recommended setting the foundation (or foundation and concealer) immediately to prevent it from settling in fine lines. Hopefully that'll help. ✨✨

If you are in the US, I saw testers of all 42 shades in Ulta yesterday! It has quite a dry-down, at least a full shade, maybe 2, so give it a minute to settle, before you choose your shade!

The concealer creased on me the first time but I set it better the next time I wore it and It was fine. But i tried the concealer as a primer for my eyes it just didnt work.

Yaaayy you tried it! So it's very, very full coverage and that's a con for me because, yup, over 30 and I need all the help I can get to look plump and radiant. I can't have my smile lines be obvious lol @ "Nile river"...same, girl, same! Buuuut with the price and if I was to mix it in with a light radiant drugstore foundation, I feel it could be a match made in heaven so hmm...

I'm so excited to see your opinions and just people wearing them. I'm in a between stage of my undertone and complexion changed after kids and self tanning and summer so I am needing a new favorite. $20 for foundation is steep for my cheap ass. But drugstore is getting there quicker than I like. So if I'm paying drugstore prices nowadays almost the same as midrange then I'll be more willing to try midrange. I'm not needy. Just dry skin that's all
Please please do arm swatches of what they gave you with the numbers and names😘! I want to see the undertones. Maybe in your next vid? I have the same shade. I use only 2/3 drops..i cant stress how full coverage this is! It can easily look like a mask . This is my new holygrail foundation. I ordered in the same shade as you.
But that would mean wasting the ones I cant use :/
I'm so glad you got this one. I want to try it but I dont like buying foundation online. I have so many foundations I dont use because I bought them online and they either don't match my undertones or my shade or the formula doesn't work for me. Hopefully it comes to ULTA so I can see the shades before I buy. I struggle to find my shade in a lot of foundations because I'm very fair skinned.
