Seriously, that was a really good kick! It happened so suddenly...Hoppel just saw the opening to the side and realized he had just enough time to make a move.
@@cosmicwisdom999 they were trying to break the world record, Arop messed up when overtaking the pacemaker so he messed up his chance at the record so he gave Wanyonyi the inside lane so he could give it a shot

800ms in 1:41 were incredibly rare before this year...in fact, only 5 men had ever run one before 2024..... now the count is 10 men !! Talk about an event moving on.

That 800m WR is going down sooner than later. The women's 800m WR is also probably within reach for Keely, but that'll be a bit longer since she's the only person running 1:54 right now.
I think Marco and Emmanuel have worked out an agreement for Diamond League to maximize earnings. They trade off helping each other notch wins! In Lausanne the former seemed to encourage the latter to grab the lead around 600, and today the latter rode the red carpet to comfortable second! If this is true, I LOVE it.
last week they were trying to break the world record, Arop messed up when overtaking the pacemaker so he messed up his chance at the record so he gave Wanyonyi the inside lane so he could give it a shot
Congrats, Arop! And what a race for Hoppel!!! Outstanding!!! The depth of talent and fitness in the 800 this year is insane!
Arop is a very strong runner. Runs with so much ease. 1:41:87 is incredible. Thanks for the video.
Great run Arop
Hoppel passed four guys down the final straightaway. 💪

Arop has master Wanyonyi’s tactic of starting and keeping the front with same tempo
The same card Rudisha used to play 👌
Right......he now knows his racing style. In their last race in Lausanne I think, it seems as if Marco gave him a past though.....

so many athletes running 1.41 consistently in 2024 . . . i am impressed . .
That's the most elegant 800 metre lead and finish I have ever seen. Seamless. He's so efficient.

Consistently running 1:41 is insane
Like to think he's splitting 50.9 400m pace is insane
I never thought Rudisha récord was in danger, but that’s a matter of time next year
Wanyonyi at 19. Is already a millionaire good job wakwetu🇰🇪🇰🇪
It all depends how you define a millionaire 😂
Can’t believe he’s only 19. Kenyans look so old.

Great Race to all! This commentator is good too.
What a amazing gap in a 800 in a strong field
Nearly 3 seconds over the meet record that's incredible running. OMG!!! 🥰💯%

Really great race 😮. Having Hoppel in lane 4 wasn’t great as he got boxed in and had to slow down, but thats part of it too
Arop has a beautiful stride.
Why does the sign say Meeting Record for the photagaphers? Shouldn't it be Meet Record. Translation problem?
with sadjati arop and wanyoni in the final it will be wowww

I highly doubt that but it would be funny if true. I wouldn't fault them.
