Gen Z Childhood Fears... Today we talk about gen z childhood fears we all had. Instagram: / burdieonyt Wurdie (2nd channel): / @wurdie Business email: Burdbusiness1@gmail.com Spotify Podcast: open.spotify.c...
I have a bad history with shots. When I was younger, I recall seeing an episode of Daniel Tigers Neighborhood, where Daniel was afraid to get a shot from the doctor. Once he got the shot, he told the audience that shots aren’t so bad. And I believed him. And later that year when I got a flu shot, I expected it not to hurt AT ALL. And it did (obviously) and I’ve forever hated shots since
I used to be scared of mimes and the dark or nighttime when I was younger. There was a phobia for it that I forgot the name of. It was a very long word for the fear. Mimes freaked the crap out of me as a kid. I’m not scared of them anymore, but they just creep me out to this day. For the dark/darkness or nighttime, my mom sometimes forgets to plug in my nightlight at night before I go to bed when I was a kid, making me too scared to go to sleep because I had a feeling that something was going to be in the corner of my room. I didn’t really like wandering around in parks or downtown in the city that I live nearby at night, since I have a feeling that I might pass by a bush and something might jump out at me, scaring me relentlessly. Glad that I no longer have these fears, along with having a fear of needles and other sharp objects. I fear nothing now, not even death or if I’m about to die either.
Same here. Though I wasn’t scared of being alone in the dark. I was scared of being unsafe in it. If I had a place to hide, such as under my blanket, I was all good.
The real reason I’m scared of the dark… is my BROTHER. He doesn’t scare me anymore. But when he did scare me, I’d be getting my pajamas on. Dang he was scary..
I'm scared of the silence, it is a weird fear. The thing about silence is that it seems very wrong and the silence makes you feel alone and vulnerable.
I used to get hallucinations in the dark when I was a kid. I also had a phobia of strangers. Because of serial killers and criminals that exist in our society. But now that I'm a grown man. I'm not scared of those things anymore.
1:57 Honestly I did the animal-walk up the stairs too when I was younger. I don't know man, something about walking up the stairs on all-fours was fun for some reason Also anyone who grew up around 2014 knew how scary FNAF was back in the day
I have a lot of childtrauma because of early and unsupervised internet access (though it didn’t effect me until a few years ago) it really fricked with my brain bec of the amount of gore and horror movies/games I watched. I wasn’t scared or got nightmares from them but they effected me a lot, never had a fear of the dark I preferred it but I had a big fear of syringes (not as much anymore) and elevators (which I still have a fear of or more of a panic attack when I’m in one)
I was afraid of balloons when I was younger 😂 I was also afraid of needles, I remember one time they had to chase me across the hospital for me to get a shot
I was born in 2008 I was also scared of the dark when I was little, I would sometimes call for my mum when I woke up in the middle of the night because I was worried a monster would be under my bed lmao. I'm turning 16 this July
I was actually dead scared of mushrooms too. I once saw this weird video on YT taking about the deadlines of mushrooms (only if u eat tho but I didn't catch that). Saw a harmless mushroom in our backyard once, and it scared the shit out of me😂😂😂
To be honest, when I was around 7 years old, FNAF always terrified me (especially the puppet). But now, I had played it sometimes and even got to 6 nights!
Here’s a dumb fear I had once: I remember being afraid of the New Super Mario Wii game over. No reason at all. I guess it was because it was in a dark screen or something. It was to where I feared it would randomly play on a turned off tv, so I covered myself in blankets during night so I never saw it. I got over it after a while, but yeah.
I feel like as you grow up, the amount of fears you have kinda decreases. The only things I’m truly afraid of now are wasps, hornets, and harmful spiders.
My biggest fear is failing. I think that if I fail nobody will like me anymore which is kind of stupid but I believe it. Failing scares me and stresses me out a lot.
It didn’t help the fact that for 3 years I was battling Leukemia and most of my treatment involved needles and injections of all sorts. Nowadays I’ve built up a tolerance to them basically and don’t give two shits about them. One thing I can’t stand though is pill swallowing cause whenever I can’t swallow the tablet in one try, I get overly anxious and just let it sit there.
I've had a fear of heights since i was 6 years old. Was gonna jump from a jungle gym at a park and I got this weird feeling and got petrified looking down and the ground pulsing. It sucks. It limited a lot of fun
Im 10 and have been haunted by a ghost since i was a baby. Heres the story, so when i was a baby my mom had a baby monitor and shed be randomly lookin at it seeing what i was doing till bang it falls off the dresser this would be a normal accurance. This ghost was obsessed with me like when i cried big heavy books would be pushed off shelves without any doing necessary like shit was crazy. To this day stuff i cant explain happens like wet fingerprints on my blinds and my closet door being peaked and one time i saw a long skinny arm in my bathroom when i walked to my room
Bruh I remember being scared of ALLIGATORS in my closet, in the pool, under the bed, on the ceiling, behind the tree… I DONT EVEN LIVE IN AN AREA WITH ALLIGATORS💀 I NEVER DID
I always used to be traumatized spiders, becuase they look so creepy and walk so wierd... and there was also my fear that proabably no one had, but like when you would see those videos that look goofy now but were so scary, like temple run animations and pictures of freddy fazbear. Like i swear i used to be so traumatised by the sight of freddy that id cover the screen. And then came the ugly creature, momo. It was EVERYWHERE on youtube, so many ppl would have it as their thumbnail. I legitimately got so scared i always covered the thumbnails and read the title and hyperfocused and then i would decide if the thumbnail was safe enough to look at lol... im not sure if im the only one, but i was genuinely sooooo scared from these things
I know that there was another Gen Z trauma or fear of that some kids had. If yall knew about the creepypasta Sonic.Exe back in the early 2010s u'll know what i'll mean. The scary game where a boy named Tom gets a letter that saids "don't play the game just destroy it. I can't take it anymore hes after me" and stuff, neglected the letter found the original sonic the hedgehog game copy but stratched up in blood "Sonic.EXE" puts it in his PC, starts playing, noticed that something weird with the intro screan, surprised that Eggman was a playable character in the game, Knuckles and Eggman are locked so he picks Tails. Starts playing, eventually horrified after Sonic killed Tails, Tails now locked Tom picks knuckles. Even more horrified after Knuckles was killed by Sonic. (People say that Tom kept playing or that he went to sleep and had nightmares about he can hear Tails and Knuckles screaming "HELP!!!" And he gets up and boots the game back up or smth) now Knuckles is locked and Eggman is last character that unlocked. Starts as Eggman and after Sonic kills him... A demonic hyper realistic picture of Sonic pops saying "I AM GOD" then he gets the game over scene (its belived that Sonic hunted Tom down and he heard a noise or smth from his bedroom and turns around to see a Sonic.EXE plusie on his bed with blood dripping from the bottom of its eyes and killed him, or that after finshing, Sonic.EXE found him and haunted his life forever) Also ur da goat
In the 2000s I was afraid of dogs and the dark but right now my worst Nightmare is Animatronics The Needles was of my fears too I Wasn't afraid of the dentist but the noises were scary I thought Chuck E Cheese's was real like FNAF Animatronics but in 2016 I saw the Mouse Animatronic staring at my soul and Yes that's how I never sleep because some Animatronics could enter at my house and killed me and stuffed me into a suit
There was this store that was meant for outdoors stuff like fishing rods or other camping stuff, and in that store there were these fake animals in nature-like spaces and when I was really young I was terrified of the fake animals and wouldn't want to go near them
I don’t like being in the dark but it doesn’t really scare me a lot. Also, my bed is one of those beds that is on the ground. But then, THE CLOSET!!! I never open it at night. And also… DOWNSTAIRS!!! because there was no lights on. But I’m not scared of the dark that much. Im still in my childhood so maybe I’ll grow more fears.
When i was around 3 or 4, i watched an FGTV video on a baldi's basics game, but when the jumpscare hit, i would have a fear that baldi would appear outside my window (trying to k*ll me of course) for 6+ YEARS!!!!! (To make things worse, one of my best friends would play it EVERY day)
Watching ghosts haunters like TAPS, haunted collectors, or the one that bust or test myths of the world that went viral ( I forgot wtf the show named) but they would use creepy pasta level photos during telling the history or story of said place or incident.
The only fear I have is the dark like imagine bro walking in the dark is just scary and creepy like scary images comes out and chills in my spine not gonna lie even though I'm 12 yrs old I still scared of it ngl 💀 especially after watching horror movie
When I was a kid i wasn’t scared of the dark I was scared of what was in the dark I used to have sleep paralysis but I was most scared of the worst nightmare I had when I was a kid the death starfish nightmare
When I was little i was one of those kids that got caught in the Elsa gate thing. I’ve been terrified of dentistry from the age of 4 because i saw a video of else getting all her teeth pulled out one by one by an evil dentist then getting farted on?. BRO WTF WAS THAT 😢
I wasn’t scared of the dark when I was younger I was scared of what was in the dark like a demon or some random creepy pasta. I heard about three seconds ago.

I remember watching that one no way
I'm not scared of the dark, but when I'm in my room at 3 am and its pitch black, i start having the most trippy hallucinations
I used to be scared of mimes and the dark or nighttime when I was younger. There was a phobia for it that I forgot the name of. It was a very long word for the fear.
