I can NOT love this enough. THANK YOU Gary and your entire foundation. My dad served in WWII, First Division Marine, "sharp shooter" with "shell shock" yet the most humble man. He joined as soon as he could. Even though he lost his brother, while his other brother actually saw him on the ground not knowing it was him. He was in the CCC's I still have his "yearbook" which was in the DIA. I have his Cookbook from being on a battleship because that was HIS job on the ship. Thank You for for bringing in our Young Ones to learn.
So incredible and what a privilege to have these heroes still among us. I had the honor of making friends with a local WWII vet in my community recently and have enjoyed every minute ive had with him. Its sad to think of what our country has become in the interim, but hearing these students' appreciation for the vets is a reminder that there is hope, that there is good, and that we all play a role in the future of our country and our world. Thank you to everyone at the GSF!!! And thank you to all our amazing vets, we owe you so so much that no words can ever match
I had the honor of being on an Honor Flight with my Dad in September of 2008. He was a former POW. Truly the greatest generation. He passed in September of 2018. Thank you to all veterans and to Gary for all he does for our veterans.🇺🇸🇺🇸
This is so neat to see the veterans teaching the students what they went through in WW2. I have learned a lot from them and so incredible of what they went through to keep America free. It's a blessing and honor to have these veterans with us to show us what they went through to keep themselves and others free. They are a blessing to me. Thank you all for your service.
i am 56 and Canadian. Back though, in grade 10 high school, our history class had a holocost survivor come in to speak. This would be what, when I was 40 years ago....and it was....shocking, powerful and made SO real seeing the tattoo on his arm, hearing his story. Sadly that generation (for vets and survivors) is almost gone now....but I'll never forget his testimony to us nor his generousity in sharing and reliving the terror he had experienced.
Thank you for doing this my father was a veteran my brother and my husband my father and my husband have passed but my brother is still alive my God bless all the veterans and all of the people making the world a better and safer place 😂❤
Instant tears. That young woman at the start was amazing.
