Counting starting and ending shards it took about 122 attempts to finally beat it. That NG UH is really taking a toll on me on random places. I have beaten it when started using this technique when the snake was already in knocked down state. My middle age hands couldn't win using it from the get go, but it seems it was more efficient than presumably easier way described in your guide. Or maybe it was just a coincidence and I learned from my defeats :-) P.S. Speaking of shards, sh****t
GG! Glad you were able to get it done (that's a lot of tries!). I like the idea of using normal throws to proc a knockdown and then backward shredders to maximize damage while it's on the ground. I do think this is much harder for most people than just learning the dodge timings, but I also know that a lot of people find dodging the snake to be pretty frustrating...
Can you make a step by step tutorial to launch the shredder gauntlet this way, what to press, how to positon myself, how to time the shots? I tried many times, but I don't succeed. Maybe I am missing some details.
Im quite confused how the shredder hurts the machine if it’s not facing the right direction. I’ve always struggled with the shredder which is why I don’t use it often but looking at this video It seems like I’ve been missing out on its power
Check out the link in the description to see what is happening in this challenge. I wouldn't really recommend using shredders like this in the wild, though. Here's a good explainer about how to use them normally: th-cam.com/video/0ysjKJ4jtCU/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=Arktix
When a shredder falls on the ground, it continues to count as a "damage dealing object" (or whatever you want to call it). This means you can throw shredders on the ground on purpose to have them act as sort of temporary mines. Because of the way the animation works, if you throw them directly on the ground at your feet, they will bounce backward and end up behind you. So I turn my back to the Slitherfang and throw a bunch of shredders into the ground, which causes them to land underneath the Slitherfang's body where they deal a significant amount of damage over time before they expire and disappear. Did that answer your question?
@@MrFancyPants Why not? This looks to be easier to repeat than dancing around the snake 4 minutes until it randomly one-shot catches me. Atm trying to reproduce
@@olgoodwin More power to you! I think the dodging is much easier for most players since you already have practice doing it, and you probably don't have a lot of practice with backwards shredders. But if you can make 'em work, they sure are fast.
Keep calm and shred on 🥇🏆 Well done once again!
Because of you guys my arena times have improved thanks
I think that is the best method for speedrun in Rematch. Congratulation!
