gotta love the youtube algorythym picking out un-seen gems like this one, i (still) love the chakra-p.o.v over-the-handle-bar top-tube camera mount..., not really common with ~ 'biking' vids, but I actually prefer it..., gives one the closest 'I'm riding with you' feel, especially the gravel-riding/ off-road/ round-about-post-industrial-apocalypse-lolligagging this channel features so well!
That’s what I feel - the GoPro is in front of my face - so to me it’s the closest to irl perspective there is. Got that idea from DKlein - rad channel if you haven’t seen it.
What a hoot ! Bet with a little patience Funny Brad could grow that moss back naturally. Love that song before the last by the Strange Division. - I had quite a flash back when I heard it because I'm pretty sure I played the tambourine on that track ... But, it's been a long time.
Awesome vid, very surprised that some of those gravel or road bikes could handle those rocky trails, that was some impressive riding, looked like everyone had a blast, thanks for taking us subs along for the ride!
@@TimFitzwater That is one of the great things about Alabama…we really don’t have a real winter. It’s more like a cool, dead season. Typically, we will still have temps in the 50 & 60s on a regular basis all winter long. Occasionally we’ll have a really cold snap where we stay below freezing for 3-4 days, but then we pop right back out of it.
I just typed it in the discord but my bet is that the hardtail would be perfect. I'm really curious as to whether the tougher trails are rated that way for steepness or features(or both).
No - I ride Rene Herse on my gravel bike. I have Gravel Kings on bikes with less clearance though - 38mms - they are great tires and a lot of people really like them. I also just put 2.2 inch Gravel Kings on a new build but I haven't ridden it more than a test ride yet. Anyways - all this to say I would have no problem recommending Grave Kings.
I smiled when the sunshine arrived.
So did we!! First time I've camped in weather this cold.
Looks like a fun outing. Glad the weather didn’t spoil your plans.
Three seasons in one trip - but it was a blast!

Looked like some great underbiking fun 😜….. Funny Brad’s Mosshawk was righteous
What a great place - not really that far either! Yeah - the Mosshawk was a highlight!!
Super cool! Quite the underbiked epic. Not as much mudbutt as I prefer. (also, excellent grading and music) MOSSHEAD FOR PRESIDENT!
Moss Head 4 Prez! Thanks! There was some decent mud butt on day 2.
Sure looked like a lot a fun
It was an awesome weekend - even with the iffy weather!

Definitely gravel bikes and not road bikes! Still took a bit of bike handling on the gravel bikes though! It was a great weekend!
Looked like a fun, if a bit cool, weekend of riding.
The temperature plunged one night - coldest night I had ever camped in - but we were prepared and the riding temps were fine.

Excellent
😎😎😎
That was a blast. to watch. Thank you!
Thanks for checking it out - it was a great weekend!
“Hey assholes, this is a lot easier on one of these!” I’d like to get my hardtail out there. Looks awesome!

@@TimFitzwater I read a bit about them. Some steep rock features and at least one 4 foot drop.
@@TheLankyCyclist I will read more about them or look at maps before we go back.
Perfect route
It was a great mix of everything - we did skip the most extreme stuff though.
Looked like a awesome trip.
It was! Close enough that I can't wait to go back when it is a little nicer out.
Did you ide that on Gravel Kings? How did they do on the singletrack?

LarrgeMarrge rode on his Gravel Kings, he didn't seem to have any issues. But I think he noticed on the looser stuff and mud we got into.
@@Abracadabrad I thought I saw gravel kings in one of the pics
looked like fun with good folk. or david ?
Awesome weekend - even with some average weather!
