The older I get and the more I experience games, the less impact each moment has for compared to how it felt as a kid. Those truly impactful, heart-pounding moments of high intensity only come once a year or even less frequently now. When AC6 first came out and I hit this wall, I spent 6+ hours over 2 days trying to get past Balteus. For reference, I've NG+ most of the Armored Core games (the ones that have NG+, anyways) and most of the souls-likes (still haven't beaten Sekiro :D), so I'm adapted to games with high skill floors. Something about the atmosphere, the boss the design, the music, and the fast snappy gameplay really struck home with me and I felt myself fully enter "the zone" for the first time in ages. It certainly wasn't the hardest boss fight I've ever done, but it was one of the best boss experiences I've ever had. There's nothing about the fight that, by itself, is extremely difficult. Rather, the amount of information you are required to process rapidly in parallel itches the very core of brain. I have ADD so my brain trying to spin on three or more things at once and constantly losing attention really bums me out, but with games like this all those trains of thought are focused solely on the task of handling all that information. The "threads" of my brain all have to synchronize and for a few moments I get to experience what it's like to really put the full weight of my mind into something. It's not something I get the opportunity to do in daily life, and I think the reason I chase these thrills in gaming is just for that feeling. Anyways, love reliving the memory of fighting Balteus for the first time by watching you go through these fights. I hope you keep making these and fingers crossed FromSoft gets around to AC7 (or whatever sequel to AC6 will be) sooner rather than later. The wait between V/Verdict Day and 6 was way too long!
This is by far the most thrilling game I’ve ever played, everything is just sooo cool. I never did it often with other games much, but this game hooked me enough to do some crazy challenge runs, the skill ceiling is genuinely unmatched and more people should realize that. It helps like you said with having to process things fast, the flow state in this game is very real and that’s what is so appealing.
Yeah!! Also I relate heavily with the ADD part, I have ADHD and the feeling when I'm focused and in the zone while piloting is why I've dedicated myself so much to this game ^^
The 400 speed build: Head Lamm Arms either lamm or alba Right arm sixteen shot gu Right shoulder coquilett Left arm pile bunker Left shoulder duckett Core Lamm 40F Legs Firmeza Boosters BST-G2 FCS Ocellus Generator VP-20s Expansion of your choice.
Have you considered trying quadruple shotguns? I tried it out once and it was fun in my opinion. you basically become a higher fire rate flak cannon. The handlemans are my personal favorite with this due to it’s faster reload speed.
a friend actually sent me her mech which uses quad shotguns to use in my videos, and i completely forgot about it until now (ᵕ-ᴗ-) but yes!! I'll definitely be doing a quad shotgun build in the near future
Volta's AC was an absolute unit of an AC.

That final shot was class. Already won but just gave him a final grenade anyway, love the way you timed it with the explosion :)
Bangers gameplay, I didn't expect you would take the idea! GG brother
