Many different designs for each type of project are also included. For example, there are hundreds of designs th-cam.com/users/postUgkxb2mhCug-GkCWrq69Ce2I0nM0D4QpxAqu for outdoor buildings, from small sheds all the way up to a complete stable. Choose whatever type of shed or storage house is right for you. Pick from fancy ones or more utilitarian designs.

The incompetence that builders have to put up with is incredible. I'm not talking about the Perkins crew; I'm talking about all the people that they have to deal with to get a job done. Sending the finishing equipment to the wrong place is one example. How hard is it to get that right and why does it happen all the time and not just every once in a while?

I teach construction inspection for the states DOT. My favorite is concrete inspection and testing. Concrete really is an incredible material. You were driving me crazy when you said it was drying hahaha!
The easiest way i "prove" to a class that its a chemical reaction is to pour some of my Dr Pepper into some fresh concrete and mix it in. The sugar basically kills the reaction.
Also, a job I was inspecting had huge concrete columns that were 8' square and over 50' tall. We were monitoring the internal temperatures and a month later it was still close to 140° while it was snowing. Had to keep them wrapped up in blankets so that the temperature difference between the center and the outside wouldn't be quite as extreme. Best place on the job site to hang out during the winter 🤣
Sorry for long comment, love watching you guys work and for once I had something to input 👍👍

I grew up in a privately developed subdivision. We were one of the first houses built there. As a kid, my playground was new homes ‘under construction’ (all custom, so each was different) , streets, etc. being developed all around me. This is like a trip back in time. Great videos. Your editing is excellent as well as your sound. Your footage is nicely timed...not too long on a subject, not too short. Pleasure to watch. Look forward to each episode. 👍

I love that you guys do everything from start to finish. You just don't see that much these days. Seems like everyone is a specialist. It's been on my bucket list for almost 30 years to actually build my own house. I'll definitely be subbing out some things as I'm a not a pro with years of experience like you boys, but your methodical, systematic breakdown of one major step at a time really helps to calm the anxiety and overwhelm that tends to happen when looking at the enormity of the whole project at once. Your videos are great learning and great entertainment all in one!

In 1988 (yes I'm old) I was doing the oncoming headcount at the jail I was working at. The inmate workers in the jail had left a floor buffer out to report for the headcount, and as I was walking with the off going deputy, he reached over to move the buffer. He grabbed the handle, spinning the buffer like the runaway power trowel you showed, and it spun 360 degrees nailing him square in his nads! I laughed so hard, for so long, that I got in trouble for the headcount being delayed! Those things spinning like that produce a lot of power! Come to think of it, I'm still laughing about Roger hitting himself like that!

I am also a type 1 diabetic that works in the construction field. When I get low blood sugars I use a product call GU energy gels. I find it better then candy because it has the right amount of sugar and carbohydrates that I need to get me at a stable blood sugar. Also I don't have to worry about chewing or choking on food. It dissolve in your mouth and they have great flavors too.
My doctor just gave me a new product called glucagon nasal powder. Which is a nasal spray that is used instead of a glucagon (needle) but is easier for someone else to give me if I need the assistance.
