I'm an artist. Never sculpted but have the stuff to try it out. This video is exactly what I needed to see. You're the type of people we need more of in world of creatives. Thank you!
Your dolls and puppets are not just toys, they are works of art. You have put so much love and care into making them, and it shows. You are a wonderful artist!
Omg this is so freaking cool!!! Im definitely doing this for myself in a future project. But this gave me an idea for a birthday gift. I could make a mini mannequin with this video, and posable! (My friends just getting into fashion design so this would be great!) Wonderful video, you're right, you do inspire people 👏 Thank you!!💖
Oh my gosh she’s totally gorgeous.,I love her expression and hair as well as her little outfit and boots, those are so cute. And the cat and umbrella are a perfect finishing touch. For your first doll she’s fabulous .I love her 🥰
Thank you so much for this!! I’ve been getting into clay & fabric art dolls recently and this gave me so many good tips. Also your art is so pretty and charming!!!
Wow! I looked for something like this 2ish years ago, never saw your channel (idk how old it is). I would have been so much more encouraged if I had seen this! Thank you🥰 I wanted to make poseable figures for a Christmas village, and kinda couldn't do the village without the scale. Thank you so much!
I love her!! Such a lovely creation, from the concept to the final result! Thanks for sharing your talents. I'm hoping to create one soon and your video was everything I had hoped to be inspired by :)
I’m sure you already know this, seeing as how you’ve got all the other items for sculpey-but there’s actually a Sculpey glue! There’s also another material that they sell to get rid of the fingerprints on your clay. Both of those items I just wish I had those when I was 13 years old playing with copy for the first time because I’ve gone 40 years until I figured that out! And also your editing is really good. Nice to see you on TH-cam. Hope you survive girl! ❤
Thank you for sharing, what a lovely charming doll. 🥰🥰 it's beautiful.I love how your video is easy to understand. I'm just looking into making my 1st one and getting as much info before I do. Could you ever do a video on the clays? And how they work. It could be a silly question but does clay that you use, they dry really hard or do they dry but still soft and bendy. Do you have to cook them. And what's the best type of brand to use. No doubt you might have already made one further down 😂 I do apologise if you have.
Thank you! :) The clay I used is super sculpey, it's a polymer clay, so it needs to be baked to harden. I like it because I'm very slow at sculpting, so I don't have to worry about the clay air drying/hardening while i'm working on a project. It's not flexible once baked tho.
You could use a doll stand, or maybe add magnets in the feet and use a magnetic base. Reducing the weight/size of the head could also help with the balance!
I usually don't varnish any of my sculptures but I probably should. Iv'e seen a lot of doll customizers use Mr super clear, but I've never tried it myself. I imagine any kind of art sealant could work, but I would recommend to test it on a scrap piece first because I know some sealants don't react well to polymer clay/paint.
@@Wickelle thanks, excited to see more of your art work❤ iv been running into some problems were I find that most sealants dont react well with clay. Liquatex professional matte varnish is ok but but still has a sort of faint shine to it, there is also the brand Gold polymere matte varnish that a nother artist Tina yu uses, but is currently temporarily discontinued. Been thinking about switching to apoxi clay so that I can safely use spray vertion of the Gold matte varnish but then Ill lose the benefits at working at my pace and being able to make changes, due to the clay hardening
The foam from the sponge is to add mass and shape to the body (basically like muscles). I suppose it would hold the wire in place if it snaps, but if you double twist your wire and use a wire that has good flexibility it shouldn't snap at all unless you use excessive force or repeatedly bend it in the same place. I would suggest testing the wire first, to see if it holds up well, before building the doll.
How do you bake the clay hips and chest? You cant bake with the wire, so do you just take them off and somehow glue them back together?? And is it safe to bake the head even though it has aluminium foil inside? Idk if these are stupid questions, i dunno what i am doing
If you use polymer clay and aluminum wire, you can bake it (Aluminum can go in the oven). You can always use air drying clay, or epoxy clay which won't require heat to harden
This is so inspiring ! ✨ I love making puppets but I have to try with sponge for the body...what type of glue do u use ? And is the doll really poseable with this technique ?
Some of the tools I use the most are the one with the silicon tips, a needle tool, and ball point tools, but I would recommend trying to find a kit with a variety of tools so you can try them out and see what works best for you! :) I don't have a specific brand to recommend as mine were either gifts or purchased from my local art store. Oh and, happy birthday! :)
I haven't found a name for the doll and the cat yet, anyone has any suggestions?
Maybe Scarlet?
Iris and Whiskers?
Blue💙😁
Lila
How about Lulu and Leon

멋진작품입니다.❤❤❤
What kind of boots did you use on the cloths
Thank you for making this video, it was really helpful! I love her design!
Also what type or brand of paint did you use?
those clothes are so ridiculously cute
Thank you! 😊 I wish I had enough fabric to make them for myself!
sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute. so so soooooooooooooo cute. i just love her
I tried making a fnaf character from soft clay and ended up making a sorta posable doll 😭
But now I know the proper way to pose it thanks to you 😀
Love it
What type of scissors do you use? Do you have a link for it?

what is the brand of the clay are you using isabelle?
Needs more like 👍🏾 😢

What kind of Strings do you? use

Did you bake the torso pieces of the body with the wire implemented in it still?
Yes, you can put wire in the oven, just make sure to use aluminum wire :)
Is there a way to make the doll stand without having big shoes?
You could use a doll stand, or maybe add magnets in the feet and use a magnetic base. Reducing the weight/size of the head could also help with the balance!
I think Pepper fits her for some reason. This is beautiful! You did so well, and I'm glad I came across your channel.
Oh that's a really cute name! Thank you so much, glad you like it! :)
Fantástico
What if we can’t draw from scratch?
I love her💙 . Do you have any suggestions for varnishing dolls especially for protecting blush?

@@karymarie9786 I see, it's a bummer that the product got discontinued. I'll keep an eye out for polymer clay varnish/sealants!
Does the foam keep the armature from snapping? Or just hold in place if it does?

The sculpture remains me of coraline
What kind of sponge is that?
It's a dollar store sponge, they come with the scratchy green thing on one side
How do you bake the clay hips and chest? You cant bake with the wire, so do you just take them off and somehow glue them back together?? And is it safe to bake the head even though it has aluminium foil inside? Idk if these are stupid questions, i dunno what i am doing

@@Wickelle omg thanks
does this work woth air dry clay?
It should if it’s good air dry clay but you need to be careful of it breaking and make sure it’s all the way dry before painting
@@sagedavid5341 tysm ♥️
This is so inspiring ! ✨ I love making puppets but I have to try with sponge for the body...what type of glue do u use ? And is the doll really poseable with this technique ?
I used super glue for the sponge and yes I can pose her in any way I want :)
Hi I love your videos and also want to sculpt since my birthday is coming up! What brand of tools do you recommend?
