  • How to Sing Loud Effortlessly at www.askavocalco... | Vocal Coach Ken Taylor discusses different resonance chambers that you can utilize in your body while singing to produce more volume when you sing.
What creates the fullness of the sound? Space. Resonance space is what allows a singer to have a big, open sound without having to push or use tension. Learning how to take advantage of resonance is key in when developing yourself as a singer. Learn more in this video.

I find that focusing on keeping the tongue relaxed and in movement instead of focusing on pitch helps a lot. This way, you can give each note two or three colors instead of one which is boring.

amazing stuff. increasing the space in my mouth, my posture and increasing the tension in my diaphram rather than my throat all INSTANTLY increased my volume. the tongue thing too. my vocal teacher always told me to drop my jaw. now i understand why; it doesn't only increase volume, it improves my intonation of words and increases clarity...

Wow Ken, someone disliked it? How come?
You are totally right. This is the way to sing louder and more comfortable. And yes, we must watch it many times, to understand ... us, completely.
Lots of people laughs about it, and finish with a throat cancer. It is not a matter of exercizes, is a matter to know ... you.
I try to localize each note I sing, mainly when immitating other voices or making backing vocals.

When I sing, I struggle with this mumbly quiet tone that is like a shadow over my voice. It ends up sounding more like Norah Jones style or Robert Pattinson. Relax the tongue forward, absolutely agree, and arch it in an "ng" position. At first this will seem like too bright of a sound or even ugly, but if your singing correctly you shouldn't be able to hear exactly how you sound anyway. Tape yourself often too convince yourself that you are on the right track. Think of your voice as an instrument. Work with vowel sounds.

make sure when you breathe in your diaphragm goes out. most people breathe wrong and suck in their gut and tense their shoulders. Try this: breathe in more than you think you can, hold your breath, and then a slow controlled release will help you increase your volume and control. like 2 second breathe in (inhale a lot!), 15 second hold, 15 second hiss or sing out slowly. Also, try touching your toes to a wall and blast your air at a piece of paper at the wall and hold it there.

It worked.! The sitting position I always did. But actually pulling the tongue forward and tilting. I can sing louder.! With more effort. Thanks.

Opening my throat helps me get a mature round voice. Good posture helps with support so you're able to hold notes.
