The Story of the Docklands - Communities Old and New

Originally produced in 2018, this documentary follows the social development of the Grand Canal Dock area in Dublin City, narrated by esteemed social historian, Pat Liddy, with insight and stories into life in the area prior to redevelopment, told by older residents.
This is contrasted against the views and opinions of new residents now living amongst the skyscrapers and offices of the area today. The film looks at the relationship between these two communities and asks how they can come together to remember the story of the Docklands.
