青銅はあんまり儲からないから人がコツコツと作ってるのかな。。銅、アルミのインゴットを作っている海外動画を見るとほとんどがオートメーション化されていて自動で大量のインゴットが量産されていた。青銅の需要がどれだけあるのかしらないけど売れるならもっと機械化を進めてもいいのかなと思った。
日本にインゴットを作っている会社が何社あるのかしらないが合併して今のうちに効率化を図らないと将来人手不足倒産しそう。

Nope, this is still going on in germany. Ive lived it. The air is that shitty when nobody wants to invest in airfiltration. And if Regulators visit ( i personally never heard of them coming unanounced) you switch to a different alloy and Tell the workforce to keep the doors open. Ive seen places that take some care tho.

(particle filter masks can only protect you against airborne particles and not the noxious fumes of a foundry)

@@Iskr100 Молодеж не выживет если старики умрут, их опыт и знания просто исчезнут, ракеты ЯО никто не будет строить. Я работаю на ЖД и строю железные дороги, шпалы всё такое. Через наши дороги едут каждый день танки, самоходки и прочее. Вы можете спать спокойно пока кто-то в 3-смены работает на заводе! Вроде бы сейчас все в масках специальных работают на фабриках, заводах.
Удивляет,очень вредная от дыма,жаль что человек который данным предприятием владеет не сделает условия для работы,одни бабки на уме

This ain’t Japan , it’s China.
Look at the color of the flame in the furnaces - it is WHITE, which means that zinc is oxidized and there is a lot of it, I wonder what kind of bronze it is if it contains so much zinc ?!
It is not zinc but Tin that makes bronze. Zinc is for brass and Zinc would leave behind very thick yellow/white deposits on everything.
Looks green from here, may be so intense it is saturating the camera.
I'm concerned about the lack of breathing PPE and general ventilation in a lot of these steps...

Awesome video. Brings back memories of my days in a large facility where brass strip was manufactured, starting with the melting of copper and zinc. The whole process was carried out in-house. A number of years ago they switched from centrifugal to continuous casting which is quite a shame as the centrifugal casting was such a beautiful process not to mention that it yielded the purest material characteristics.
Centrifugal casting is a process I did not know before. Because of you I did some reading and watched some videos on it. Fascinating process, indeed. I do IT (industrial systems engineer) for one of the biggest stainless steel plants in the world (electric arc furnaces + argon-oxygen decarburization + continuous casting + both hot and cold rolling) and have always been fascinated by these kinds of processes and machineries. Thank you for teaching me something new, always much appreciated
@@BinaryBlueBull Sounds like a fantastic job! Just last week we visited Hoogovens (Tata Steel) here in IJmuiden, Holland. The company I worked for has changed names 5 times and is now KME, the plant is still in my hometown Zutphen only a few miles of where we live. The ring casting process was really something else. Dimensions approx. 3.5 m diameter, wall thickness 200 mm, width 400 mm. Weight around 6.5 tons cast, 5.5 tons machined. After machining came heat treatment. There was a 30 m high ceiling because the ring would get that large in the first rolling process, only when the thickness was down to around 3 mm it was pliable enough to draw it into a tunnel as a double loop and continue. Afterwards came intermediate heat treatment and secondary rolling and slitting to final size. I worked there as a teenager and in my early twenties, it was a 24/7 operation. Great memories as you can imagine. Great teamwork and I don't remember any serious safety training!
Internal combustion engines make up 60% of the need for bronze. They are critical for camshaft and crankshaft bearing bushings. A small 4 cylinder engine only needs half a pound of bronze in the form of bushing sleeves.
What were the round items?

@@hermanschepers4739 Dross gets skimmed off the top. Slag is a melt layer just above the metal at the bottom of the furnace.
I noticed the lack of young men, much like the US.
