This scene really shows why Mac was their team leader. He knew Dave was a coward and would be able to pick off his crew one by one and would never come down from his hiding place to help them, even when it was down to his last guy.
I thought that when I watched this scene. "Why is he not getting down there to help his guys?" When he saw his last guy killed, he starts playing tough then freaks out.

Denzel is proof that people don't care whether the main character in a movie is (insert race/ethnicity here). We just care that they're good in the part and that the character and plot are good. I could name a dozen such movies and most of them aren't action packed thrillers. There is no denigration of a particular person/people either. I never turn down a Denzel movie.
I'm nearly 40 and grew up watching 80s and Early 90s action movies. Denzel has always been one of my favorite actors because he can do it all so effortlessly. Action, Drama Romance and Comedy. He's got it.
I admire the fact that Denzel knows which electric pole to bust, that'll take the power off from every structure in the neighbourhood... except the bakery. :) Jokes apart, a very gripping movie. Well made and value for money.
That part in the bakery with the flour and the fans is a great example of having intimate knowledge of your opponents training, habits and mannerisms, and then placing a trap that not only takes advantage of those, but would only be set off by those specific mannerisms. You would not be wrong in also assuming that the flour-fan setup was meant to be a makeshift smokescreen, as it fulfills that purpose as well, although not to as great an extent. Although it might not be immediately apparent to a casual viewer, a staple of the US Armed Forces is to toss in flashbang grenades in the first part of forced entry. Flashbangs explode, providing a source of ignition. The fans provide a means of a homogenous mixture of air and flour particles. And, as it turns out, aerosolized flour, much like aerosolized sawdust, combusts rapidly enough to be considered a makeshift explosive.
In both WWI and WWII German demolition experts were very good at setting such elaborate traps - one example - US troops came into a town and had learned to be wary of German traps. There was a building some of them were starting to go into, but they looked into the window and noted a barrel near the door. So they got an attack of the clevers, hitched a line to the door knob, and went to a trench/ditch about 20-30 feet away and pulled at the doorknob - but the booby trap was tied to explosives in the trench, not the door. You need to be extra creative to kill smart opponents.

There only option was to push him he was by himself. Where they messed up was not bringing more guys so they can have multiple teams stack houses and breach.
I just noticed at the 0:04 mark, that Denzel has his hand pressed into the back of the slide of the pistol. Two things can happen in that instance (that I know of). First, the slide will not rack another round, cause it can't go back. Two, that slide is coming back, and you're gonna get a nice cut on that tender skin between your thumb and index finger.
When Mac cut the bags of flour and then turned on fans was epic. Had to look up if flour is comubustible. There is video of a grain silo exploding after corn was leaking out and left corn dust that was ignited by overhead tank falling hitting power line igniting the dust.
for an actor and being such a nice guy. Denzel is one of the most bad ass assassin actors to ever walk the planet! Actually, grain dust explosions are a real hazard in grain elevators.
This is how coal miners are dying. Coal dust is deadly. During such explosion the only thing that is left of poor workers are only shreds.
th-cam.com/video/WyusDvSNT5k/w-d-xo.html A musical rescore I made of The Equalizer 2.
Pedro: it's a mistake to go to war with us McCall
Denzel: you got it backwards dave, your going to war with me.
Imagine spreading out going in searching home by home alone and being picked off one by one instead of forming a perimeter and waiting for him to come out.
yeah, I'm like watching Macaulay Culkin all over again here
Even in defensive cqb you leave yourself open to a counter assualt or ambush they would had been sitting ducks with a perimeter in those storm conditions. There only option was to push him he was by himself. Where they messed up was not bringing more guys so they can have multiple teams stack houses and breach.
These movies are literally video games. good entertainment but extremely favored climactics.
its just one long unskippable cutscene
I just noticed at the 0:04 mark, that Denzel has his hand pressed into the back of the slide of the pistol. Two things can happen in that instance (that I know of). First, the slide will not rack another round, cause it can't go back. Two, that slide is coming back, and you're gonna get a nice cut on that tender skin between your thumb and index finger.
Haha, ouch.
lol the best part is the other guys are decked out in their gear, denzel looks like he just walked out of target
He should just keep making these, even if their not as good as the first two they’ll still be worth a watch
No thanks
@@nepntzerZer a third one is happening lol
@@nepntzerZer Too bad bud .
Cannot wait for Equalizer 3. Denzel and John Wick movies are the best. You don’t won’t it to end. 🇦🇺
My favorite part is when at 9:30 he says "You've f*cked up my face! And, now, you have my permission to die!" What an heavy emotional moment
Zoomer nerd trying to be funny
@@camblongkaras782 and you have a problem with that... for some reason?..
@@gregthemadmonk Yeah bro this is why you're getting bullied irl and online people can sense the unfunnyness
@@camblongkaras782 bro did someone call you a bad word online or what
@@gregthemadmonk Nah bro I'm just speaking facts
Pedro Pascal without any facial hair always throws me off.
Can’t wait to see the 3rd one next year!
That explosion was awesome and taking Dave was memorable!
2:00 I like how his stun grenade didn't knock a single book of the shelves lol
John Wick : I need guns, a lot of guns.
Robert McCall : I just need some home mart obejects.
Never ever grip your weapon by the suppressor unless you want to burn your hand and fingers off….
The MCU should be like this. Brutal and satisfying.
The final musical crescendo as Mac brutally murders Dave, and then the final look in his eyes. It's too good.
Denzel and Keanu and Tom cruise are last men standing in Hollywood
When Mac cut the bags of flour and then turned on fans was epic. Had to look up if flour is comubustible. There is video of a grain silo exploding after corn was leaking out and left corn dust that was ignited by overhead tank falling hitting power line igniting the dust.
Great idea, but he had shot the transformer so the power would have been out and the fans not operable.
@@kjrehberg Good catch, Kris!
@@kjrehberg Glad I didn't think of that or I would not have looked up if flour is combustible.
I can't wait to see the 3rd Equalizer 💞💞💞🇧🇧
I love movies with Happy Endings
That last kill was a thing of beauty 👏🏽
for an actor and being such a nice guy. Denzel is one of the most bad ass assassin actors to ever walk the planet! He plays these character to perfection.. i mean absolute perfection, from the mannerisms to the subtle looks and face expressions are gangsta!. He himself is a work of art. its like these bad guys think they bad ass but oh mate.. wait til u see Denzel, hes on another level
Fantastic video. Great sound. Fabolous image. Congratulations!
Pedro Pascal must have incredible eye rehabilitation skill. Everyone goes for his eyes.
So I can't help but point out how hard it would be to put accurate rounds on target from that high elevated building with literall hurricane force winds
You'd have to be firing grenades
Did he even ever fire a shot? Just told other guys to go die I thought, but I've only seen the clip.
@@spencerhansen8374 IIRC he was just there for recon and yelling out commands.
I had the same thought but appears he had more intended to be the eyes instead of trying to snipe him.
Man I forgot how atmospheric this scene was
I swear Denzel is the best actor ever would love to have a beer with this man
"Let's spread out, so he has to fight us one on one. No point in making this unfair."
"Oh we're on the hunt? We even have overwatch? Pffft. Fuck formations let's go in like pigs for slaughter!"
He couldn’t made kill better time looking at the woman for the reason your going to die and then die!priceless
This is what should happen to every bad guy and criminals out there.
MacCall was as bad before he went private, this whole movie is kind of partially based on that. Also the original TV series from the 1980s leans heavily on MacCall's past during some episodes.
what? they should be equalized?
Yeah let's just disregard the rule of law altogether because you saw a cool Denzel movie.
@@sercancelenk7131 Disregard? Isn't every criminal should be punish, because you know, they disregard the law.
@@fridgefreezer9529 I'm not saying criminals shouldn't be punished. Are you going to decapitate people just because they are criminals? What is this, middle fucking ages?
What I love is the spot on target shooting in gale force winds and not a single miss, and the suppressive fire spot on yeah ok
Looking into mac's eyes and all you see is darkness, endless darkness, man Denzel, just sooo good.
I forget how brutal this movie is in terms of blood and gore.
“Taking high ground” aka “I’m gonna sit up here while you guys take all the risk and do all the work…hopefully”
What I love about this scene is the bad guy doesn’t underestimate him. He straight up launches an operation just to kill him yet fails.
Amazing Actor Pedro is
I like how he blows up the transformer and yet the fans in the bakery still work…oops
Imagine a multiverse of John Wick , Equalizer , Jason Bourne, Anna, Kate, Jack Reacher, Hobbs and Shaw.
Nah. As soon as the word "multiverse" gets thrown around, the quality starts to plummet.
A shared illusion, not everyone is René Fonck (75 kills, one single hit to his plane)
And they are on a hunt for Doom guy
It's like the old Slasher movies where a serial killer picks off sorority girls. Except the serial killer is Denzel and the teenies are military-trained operatives or Russian gangsters. But it's a franchise so he never dies in the end. The formula is there, it's just a different twist.
That took me 41 seconds to write instead of 34...damn!
I see what you did there!! 😂
Homeboy can’t keep anyone’s fingers out of his eyes. Damn.
Fuqua is the best Action Dir. period.
Waiting for 3rd installment of equalizer...💞
And Pedro Pascal probably said: Oh man, not the eye(s) again... :D
There goes Pedro's eyes being gouged again at 8:55
Again?
Eye see
I liked when he said, "Now we're equals."
denzel is so badass
