Captivate is Leica's surveying focused software, while iCON is their construction focused software. They each have their own applications and are designed for their own focus. Glad we can help!

Hey brother nice tutorial btw! Im learning how to use the total station and have a question if you dont mind.
If im laying out a foundation and need to set the building corner off the property pins, would i make a new job under the same project and place the property pins under asbuilt?After that my understanding is from there i would go to layout lines, draw a line from points, then click over to see my X and Y and use my measurements from the plan. Appreciate the video man not alot of videos for these machines out there!

Yes! You should be able to measure your property pins under as-built, then go to the "Sketching" menu and draw in your building corner using the angle and distance from the plans. There are multiple ways to do this as well. Glad to help.

May I ask you a question, I'm interested of using Layout Objects application (import IFC files) , but I'm little confused.
Do I need to buy both CC80 tablet + ICON ICR80 total station to be able to use the application, or only ICON ICR80 total station will be enough?

You can use the applications with the total station alone.

Maybe just use a GNSS with RTK fixed accuracy

GPS/GNSS and Total Stations each have different advantages. For instance- if the sky visibility is low, GNSS may not be an option.
