Then you'd be aware that in the story, vault hunters are as directly competitive and back stabbing as they are in The Cycle, which is something you don't experience in Borderlands itself for gameplay reasons, but it happens in the back story and universe.
This could be good. It uses some elements of Escape from Tarkov and puts them into a more cartoony art style, that I quite like. I'll keep my eye on this one
One concept that could work is setting up a game mode where it’s only you solo or with a squad you invite. One way to combat this so these players are not OP too soon is reducing all rewards heavily compared to the actual PvEvP.

When I first saw the cinematic Pan shot trailer , I was like Why isn't this 3rd person? It has appealing characters , colorful dense world and animation, it deserves it.
@@Ancestralsword8 Saying that it's a BR is very misleading. There are BR-esque mechanics, but it goes beyond that. I think the best comparison is the Dark Zone one made in the video. It's that PvEvP game mode, with uneasy alliances and more structured matches (as opposed to the Dark Zone in Division where you either run around, aimlessly killing NPC or ganking).

Sure, you can choose to play it like a BR and go around ganking everyone, but there are enough objectives (with more to be added/refined, I'm hoping?) to have other means of playing/winning. It's like saying that the DZ or Escape from Tarkov are BRs when they aren't. Like, they both have PvP elements that remind you of a BR (Escape from Tarkov, especially), but it's got enough twists to where it's its own thing. EDIT: If nothing else, I'm sure you can sign up for a key and play it as it goes through its dev cycle. Maybe you'll hate it now, enjoy it later down the road. Or vice versa.
agree. he said that you only die once and that will cause players to be more risk averse, but that's not true. the more skilled players won't be taking risks since they can win firefights easier. it'll never be a truce.
You should play the game before you judge it. In all the matches I've played I ended up make truces each and every time and never did I or the other person betray it.There is near no point to breaking the truce and killing the other player.
betray is not that easy, there is a cool down when you decide to betray so the player can get far away to be safe from you. plus is the same game you can team up with different players whenever you want. maybe you joined a bad player, he got killed out of position, you decline his cooperation and join someone better and so on. i tried the game and it is fun.
You have not played the game so you can not assume anything. I play it. and that for other squads. you get your own squad. and can choose to Allie with other squads. If you don't want that happening just play with your squad and kill other squads on sight. its not saying your own squad can turn on you.

This is super interesting! I think the core of this game is super strong as it pulls the best parts of battle royale modes... One thing I dont like is the lack of interaction between players in battle royale modes. I think the most interesting parts in the modes predecessors was the interest of the community to work together or at least not KOS.

They directly stated "developers will decide which platform they prefer" they literally don't give a damn about their customers, not mentioning the fact that they have an absolute non-gaming Asian company with forty-something percent shareholdings. They leaked account informations that they gathered from people who linked their Steam accounts which they wasn't even supposed to gather in the first place. It has share account information by default (which is illegal in Europe for obvious reasons) and so on. If you don't care about the platform war it's cool man, I understand your point but when a super-hyped bad game like anthem only comes on EGS, and you'll only see the cool fake trailers, which both you and your brother or wife or kid will buy too in order to play it together, so you're going to buy it 2 times. @@TheCycleGame On paper it looks great, but in practice in only takes a handful of really skilled PVP veterans to dominate everyone. I could do the mob killing or missions, but in the end each game would end for me by getting obliterated by some kind of PVP monster. All of BR games had the same issue and your game, although it's not BR, is no different. Once you get a proper playerbase PVP players will be only hunting PVE players as that will be their main attraction and after a while of sealclubbing PVE-fans will demand/plea for PVE servers.
@@MrDeothor That's exactly one of the things we are aware of and are still working on, because we want to support different playstyles. For example there are different abilities like the Cloaking Device or gadgets like the Recall Teleporter that can be used to avoid PvP situations. 😊

I don't think Epic Games Store will work, i've just seen so many computers where it didn't work. I also think it's annoying to have so many different game launchers, why not just have one. So i think that the majority of the people playing on Steam will stay on Steam because of it. I also don't like the fact that Blizzard Intertainment have their own launcher aswell, but atleast it makes more sense because it's only their's/Activision's games there are on it. The Epic Games Store and Steam Store are more like libraries for games and have no reason to only have the games on either one of the libraries.
That's one of the main attractions for me and most other people. And that's where the replayability comes from, you're not supposed to get so attached to a single match that you don't wanna leave/win it lol.

The reason why many people considered it as another Battle Royale, is the fact there are bunch of people who are willing to kill other people on sight, even the game told you "It's optional" or "self-defense purpose"

Dabbled in the alpha last week (ish). It was pretty fun, albeit a little rough around the edges and unoptimized. There was definitely promise there.
Was interested until hearing all the obvious BR mechanics. Boring. Would probably play the game for an hour or 2 then drop it for good.

Proximity chat makes pvp games more fun so you aren't forced to party but can still hear if you are close enough to someone

It’s a game where the more you play the “stronger” you are. But not really since it’s just points. What I get from this is that unless you play regularly and a lot you won’t have enough points to be at the top.

Not only PvP - there are different ways to play the game! You can also focus on PvE and try to avoid PvP. 😊
@@TheCycleGame On paper it looks great, but in practice in only takes a handful of really skilled PVP veterans to dominate everyone. I could do the mob killing or missions, but in the end each game would end for me by getting obliterated by some kind of PVP monster. All of BR games had the same issue and your game, although it's not BR, is no different. Once you get a proper playerbase PVP players will be only hunting PVE players as that will be their main attraction and after a while of sealclubbing PVE-fans will demand/plea for PVE servers.
@@MrDeothor That's exactly one of the things we are aware of and are still working on, because we want to support different playstyles. For example there are different abilities like the Cloaking Device or gadgets like the Recall Teleporter that can be used to avoid PvP situations. 😊

I don't think Epic Games Store will work, i've just seen so many computers where it didn't work. I also think it's annoying to have so many different game launchers, why not just have one. So i think that the majority of the people playing on Steam will stay on Steam because of it.
I also don't like the fact that Blizzard Intertainment have their own launcher aswell, but atleast it makes more sense because it's only their's/Activision's games there are on it. The Epic Games Store and Steam Store are more like libraries for games and have no reason to only have the games on either one of the libraries.

The main killer almost immediately was the 1 life. A game sounding this intricate leaving you with only 1 life is quite ridiculous
That's one of the main attractions for me and most other people. And that's where the replayability comes from, you're not supposed to get so attached to a single match that you don't wanna leave/win it lol.
This is a battle royale that I'd play. This game looks awesome.

7:00 What they ought to do is give some type of penalty or debuff to veteran squads to keep it competitive for newer players. It'd keep the game fresh to have to contend with a big handicap when fighting against those with fewer total hours let's say. Idk but I agree with you on this concept.

Firefall vibes all over this, i knew about the game for a while and i'm hoping it's good.
Seems hard to balance all the mechanics in a way that there's nothing too stupid or broken, but has potential if they manage it.
Fevir u should try out Hunt Showdown as well. It kinda has the same fundamental mechanics as this game but it launched into early access a year ago.

The reason why many people considered it as another Battle Royale, is the fact there are bunch of people who are willing to kill other people on sight, even the game told you "It's optional" or "self-defense purpose"
