It was so interesting to see the dynamic between Luzia and Valentina’s mom. It explains that disgusted look Caterina gave Luzia in episode 8. She hates Luiza because she gave Valentina power to be who she wants to be, she can’t control her anymore, the only way to get to her is by diminishing her character. She’s a vile woman. Can’t wait for them to dive in more to the event that lead to Luiza’s condition. Definitely leaning towards her going behind Valentina’s back and getting AI and then losing the baby after the crash. I’m thinking maybe Valentina probably said something along the lines of it being a good thing that they didn’t have another kid or something like that, and that put Luzia in a touchy situation because she was already pregnant, which led to her breakdown. So many endless possibilities!

Love rewatching this and the stripper with your commentary. Catarina is mad Valentina disobeyed her in many ways, when she got with Luiza, so now she is trying to not make the same mistake with Leo. Leo is Luiza's son 100% i think that comment from Val's dad just meant he supports Valentina completely, he still considers Leo as her own son and he is not homophobic unlike Valentina's mother with her stupid life choices commentary.

Ok throwing my hat in the ring! My theory is this. This is clearly a prequel to the first season. So, by Luiza saying “I will” to Leo, she decides to have another child. The flashes back and forth at the end of episode 8 when she drives off, I think she is pregnant at that time and whatever causes her to flee, she also crashes the car the first time as well causing her to lose the baby. Which would provide her feeling that feeling like she’s responsible throughout season 1. I know this is very vague lol but I’m just throwing some ideas out! I hope it makes some kind of sense lol
Since new to your channel I'm watching this again. My first thought was the correlation in the way Valentina's mother debases her and the way Luiza did the same in the earlier episodes. Since in Luiza's mind she was still in college mode I wonder how long she treated Valentina this way before Valentina won her over. What in Valentina made her pursue an abusive person to begin with? Being hot when she's mad wouldn't be reason enough for me. Do we lesbians fall for women like our first female role model (mom), just as straight girls fall for guys like dad?
