As a yearly routine, a traditional boat racing festival was held on Thu Bon river (20km west of Hoi An city) On September 2nd, Vietnamese people celebrate the Independence Day . The traditional sport event is organized on Independence Day with the hope of favorable weather condition and bumper crops. A large number of locals and visitors attended the event.
