Hey Matt... you have reached one of my TOP 5 Erasure tracks of all time.... this song just speaks TRUE LOVE to me... ever since I was 16 when I first heard it, I always imagined this is what true love would feel like if I met my soulmate (never happ1d) 0. This song is just simply perfect... 10/10 - I am glad you enjoyed it!!!
Love this song. They started their show off with this on their tour a few years ago and they'd edited it to their traditional song length. It was so nice to hear it in a different version

The great thing is Vince is showing how simplicity builds complexity. The entire song is like 3-4 chords. I was able to teach my 10 year old how to play this on piano in a day. The doesn't make it boring or simple. It's the composition, not the chords, that makes something memorable. Vince's choice of sonics for this are also spot on.
"So, here we go again, searching for the truth until the twelfth of never." When the album came out I was quite puzzled by the sound of it, and it took some time for me to get acquainted. It's become one of my favorite albums ever. "Sono Luminus" was the most accessible song for my ears on first listens, so I will always treasure it. I never thought about the title though. "I am" is "sum" in Latin, but in Italian "luminus" it would be "luminoso", so it doesn't really make sense to me. But I am not fluent in either Latin or Italian. I just enjoy this song no matter what.
oh one more thing, you will notice with this album all the songs are long and extended; this was intentional. they wanted to make an album full of "extended versions" if you will and Vince purposely left gaps in the song for long instrumental synth parts (kind Pink Floyd, Dark Side Of The Moon inspired).

I find this track to be an "I Say I Say I Say" song due to it's beauty and serenity, a track that snuck in and ended up in this album

Great track ...... preferred this to the singles from the album to be honest .
