    “I already have a couple of full time jobs”. LMAO-literally! You kill me Mike. I love your humor. Erin, your gardens are so beautiful from the aerial shot. Looks like the cover of a gardening book or farm to table cookbook. You are such an inspiration for me. Those were excellent words of wisdom, to start slow so you don’t get overwhelmed. But it’s difficult when there are so many things you want to do lol. Thanks guys and have a great day!

    "Rolliin' rollin' rollin', keep them doggies rollin', rawhide. Wind and rain and water, we'll all stay together, keeping them doggies by our side..." Every time I watch your channel, I can't help but start singing this... Wow, quite amazing! I wondered how y'all (aka, you's guys) grew stuff up there in cold Wyoming! Vinyl house, eh? Stands up to winds too, impressive. You know Mike, you gave a good description of farm/ranch life. It's really about the ranch. Keeping it going and providing food for people. Of course, I should have know that, but you describe it great for a city slicker like me. Born and raised in the city, I was. But coming from an old fashioned farming family, I think it's in my blood!

Absolutely beautiful produce Erin but your baked goods and other treats looked delicious. Can't forget the mouth watering meats you raise Mike! You surely deserve a break Erin and I know Mike does too. So I'm thinking my idea of a mini vacation in the 90 weather of the hightower in the depths of your Wyoming winter sounds pretty fantastic! Kicking back in all that fresh oxygen with some refreshments and treats sounds perfect on a cold snowy winters day. I just found your channel today, but in watching several of your videos, I have to say I really, really like your content. What especially hit home are the farmers market ones. My wife and I started selling at our local farmers market this year. We had no expectations, but have been amazed at how well we have done. My wife does baked goods also, and sold over 100 peach and wild blackberry cobblers, along with many others offerings. We live in a very small town with only about 5 vendors at our market so we thought that was really good. Our biggest draw though is our homemade jams and jellies, pie fillings, and syrups (we tap our maple trees and have maple syrup, Shagbark Hickory syrup, and fresh fruit syrups). We grow a lot of the fruit here on our small farm, and get what we don’t have locally when possible. We have sold over 900 jars this year! We are still going to market each week in a nearby town who has an indoor winter market also. So, your videos were very interesting to us and we have learned from watching them today. Thank you for making such great videos and I look forward to watching many more! God bless!

    Have you ever thought of aquaponics? It's a really cool way to grow plants and produce fish in an indoor greenhouse. For you, I think the biggest problem would be in heating the greenhouse since you're also heating water but you can produce vegetables in the off-season if you figure it out. It gives whatever you put into it-if you work on it full time you can make a living off of it and if you just do it as a hobby you can make enough to put food on the table every once in a while that doesn't typically grow in Wyoming. If you're interested I've got a playlist about it. It's at least something that's cool to learn about

    This was a fun video to watch and you provided some great information about what it takes to be successful at the farmers market. One of the big pluses of the farmers market is that it can be an excellent pathway for a beginning farmer/rancher. I was lucky to be invited to set up a stand at a large and very popular market a few years back in Anchorage Ak. We had amazing success and usually sold everything we brought with us that day. Every week it was not uncommon to get into a lengthy conversation with a young adult with questions about how to get into gardening, micro-farming, selling locally, soil, organics etc etc. But just like you pointed out, there are no free ride or short cuts and I am always happy when the snow comes and I can take a break. haha

    More power to you guys. I don't have the patience for Farmers Market, or to tend to the high tunnels as well as Erin does. My Philosophy is if a few weeks at the end of the season don't hurt anything. But I'm not growing stuff like you guys are. That table at Farmers Market was gorgeous!

    I'm loving your channel!! I'm a successful business owner. With 3 kids, there's never enough money!!! I have a booth at an antique mall that does very well (most months) and adds $$$ to our families budget. My point is, like you, it's critically important to make $$$ anyway you can!! By the way, your Farmers Market "spread" looked amazing...now I'm hungry!!!

    Awesome presentation on your tables. Great looking veggies! Pumpkin painting was a good idea! It's getting a little chilly here in Ct. It was about 40 this morning. No sign of snow yet though. I can wait... hahaha.

    Glad to see your hard work is paying off Mike and Erin. Making a commitment like that is never an easy one. But definitely worth it all in the end. Oh just little recommendation for your guys winter high tunnel. You should try a strawberry called a Ft Laramie. Very productive, big fruits, and very resistent too the cold. Have a great week.

    Hey what I'm about to say remember im not complaining when the ad pops up when I click on your video I always watch it to the end I never hit skip but when I watched it to the end instead of it going to the video it went to another ad if you are putting two ads up the ok but if its TH-cam that is putting the second one up because they see I watch the whole ad then thats not right

    • @OurWyomingLife
      @OurWyomingLife  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      We arent adding any more ads, its all TH-cams thing. We get to choose if we have ads run before the video. I have never seen two in a row, that is odd and a pain in the butt. I get it. Thanks Josh - Mike

      @@OurWyomingLife its fine I don't care how many ads y'all put up I'll watch every one of them it was just odd that it had two back to back and I wanted to make sure y'all were getting the money for both and not just one
