The amalgamation of approaches and knowledge permeating this F2P challenge is great for any new free player looking on. This is what an active community should feel like.
Having yall all be in the same clan, gives it a feel like you and a bunch of friends all got together and started raid together. it makes sense and is more exciting than "everyone is spending their clan gold on fragments"
Seems to be some misconception about the clan discussion - there are many clans that have high clan level (shop slots unlocked) but are tier 1 CvC clans as all the current members are newbies. We have one of those in our cluster even
7:43 _"...I fell into the trap of: maybe she gets good with that ascension. Maybe she gets good with the books. Maybe at 6 star.' "_ This may be an example of a phenomenon called the 'sunken costs fallacy'. I have to agree with some of the chat it tends to be rare that many F2P are easily going to get into a high level clan. It is much more the average F2P player experience for someone just starting in the game. I also agree with some of the comments that its just been fun to see all the F2P accounts working together to work through all the Clan stuff.
Its a free to play challenge so competing is a vital part of that even if it detracts from optimisation. Competing is fun so I'm loving those leader boards. Massive time commitment from everyone Thank you this series is a must watch.
The one grey area about joining a higher tier clan that could skew the competition is getting into a tier 6 cvc clan and basically leeching incredible milestone rewards while being carried and not pulling your weight with a fair share of points. It can be done, sure, but imo it's against the spirit of what most players will experience on a f2p account. My personal feeling is that you should only join a tier 6 cvc clan when you can reliably do 180k cvc points which would be 1/30 of the top milestone of 5.4m points. Getting access to a tier 6 cvc clan based on personal connections or being a content creator etc. gives you access to a lot more energy / clan gold / 5 star chickens / 6 star artifacts / shards every 2 weeks that the rest of the f2p community who are competing won't have access to. I could go join a tier 6 clan right now if I wanted to, but I think it's more fun when the whole community is competing on a level playing field.
👌 Yea I agree. I think it's just more fun without the extra perks of being a cool kid. If someone leaves to join a high tier clan they have to change their ign to "noballs"
I get your point but man there's a huge difference between getting into an older / higher lvl clan that isn't doing high-tier CVC vs being carried in tier 6 or even t4 to t5 clan, The clan I'm in we push hard in lower tiers and intentionally lose in t6 to drop back down for easier pr CVCs were all doing between 200k and 400k pr in t4 or t5 during those push CVCs no way are we taking a 10day f2p noob account also I've been playing for 4years in this same clan/ cluster for 3.5 years and whilst my clan itself isn't on the top of the cluster it's far from being a CB only clan yet even our entry lvl clans that do normal hard brutal focus are fully open to unm and all well above lvl 10 clans
@@matt-8812 For sure. I have nothing against joining a high level clan, I'm just saying in the context of this community challenge where most of the community will be in tier 1 cvc, if I were to go join a tier 6 clan (which I can right now if I wanted to) and get carried to tier 6 rewards then that's a bit of a copout, unless I'm able to contribute 180k points consistently per cvc which would be 1/30th of the 5.4m points needed for tier 6 rewards.
There should be a dungeon where you earn points to de-volve your champs - recover books, scrolls, potions, etc. This is something that f2p players would go crazy for. Imagine being able to earn your books or mastery scrolls you already used by de-volving champs you've outgrown.
Eharbad is the king of F2P not because he's the best performing F2P but because he exemplifies the ideal F2P mindset. Focus on the progress you can solidly secure and be strong against Raid's numerous attempts to FOMO you into spending. For spenders this could be extended to resist being FOMO'ed into spending more than you otherwise would. Raid are obliged as a for profit to pull you towards the cash shop as hard as possible with the occasional push from the other end by tightening requirements for F2Ps until the borderline of making them quit but you as the player are not obliged to pay what they want.
Love your content HH! I don't know where else I could post this but just wanted to give you a heads up your voice is very quiet compared to the intro/outro. I always turn up the volume then bet to the end of the video and my ears get blasted by the outro haha
The early leader boards may be influenced by the fact that some have a reduced mercy system for ancients that presents them with a legendary extremely early, while, for as yet unexplained reasons, others didn't get this perk. Basically it is not a level playing field during these first weeks.
As someone who was not a whale but maybe a tuna or something lol but I used to spend a decent bit on this game then quit for almost 2 years now I just came back and I'm pretty much f2p and the difference in the way I have to play the game is way more different than I expected it to be also the game being much different now than it was when I quit is being a rough combo because the roster I have was pretty darn good before but now has been power crept into middle ground at best so I'm having to learn how to play it a very different way but I'm enjoying it
Working on my 2nd Yarl (from fragments,), and yet to find 1st build niche in my army so will check out your videos as stuck on Doom Tower hard..waves after 70 are too bomby!
For the F2P clan argument--I actually really like that you guys created an account just for this challenge. I am actually really curious to see how a clan that does not spend does as far as leveling, CvC and Blan Boss progression. I think its a good experiement to what a clan of low to no spenders can accomplish.
Yeah but , you have very experience players in thier clan... Plus everyone is thier clan will be striving to do their best.. thier clan will not at all be like any other f2p clan. Just remember these guys are playing these accounts all day every day. They are also gaining views and money from playing this "f2p" account. Not many normal people is going to have fun on a f2p account. Just not realistic
If you are motivated enough you can do it mostly by yourself with multiple accounts. I started with my main and an alt. I created 2 more just before the Ninja promotion ended. it has been about 2 years my clan is at lvl 8 about 3k pts away from lvl 9 and unlocking Yakarl fragments. My clan is open so I occasionally get help from others. The clan has managed to win 3 cvcs. One of the big things with your own small clan is you can play when you want, no pressure except what you put on yourself, You can choose whatever clan quests you want. Perfect for an anti-social like myself.
You should definitely be in a higher level clan. As a free to play, I joined a clan that was killing normal hydra asap because I realized how game changing Mithrala would be. A lot of decent clans will take literally anybody. Only CvC focused clans are picky.
I did the same like eharbad I first bought yannica and now after 1 month I will get yakarl Both are really good champions for f2p accounts cuz both have got really good kits
In terms of clan, I think that's reasonable, but it must be as Eharbad explained, one of those clans that is higher level but has been vacated so is just new players only. The best thing to do is take over a clan that is rank 9 and go ahead from there. It's unreasonable if they join a clan using their prestige of being a content creator. Essentially, if you gra ba clan that is able to get legendary books, and is over tier 1, this would destroy the challenge, most players who are new and F2P are able to join the game, get into a clan that already has Yakarl availble to buy and be getting T1 rewards. But new players joining will not have the ability to get into a T6 clan, grabbing a lego book every 3000 clan gold and get absolutely boosted through T6 rewards each CvC.
i find the spider to do weird stuff. Like the ability that says hits once, then another time for each spider with no debuff.. will "always" hit twice (or more). I had a 100,000 health Brogni and for some reason the spider would usually hit him for 70,000 damage for no reason. Everyone else on the team was getting hit for probably 15 or 20k
i think as long as youre not spending real money to buy stuff in game, youre still technically a f2p. so, even if he decides to switch to other clans just to get yakarl asap, he should still be part of the f2p challenge. he didn't buy the guild coins, he earned it. he didn't buy the clan or the access to clan shop, its just one of the loopholes (knowledge or helpful tip) that any player could take advantage of. even if its an active clan that regularly clears nm and unm clan bosses, there should be no issue about the legibility of maintaining the f2p title as he didn't bought the players there. we are all in the same one server of the game after all, old or new players. im an f2p too and i also want to optimize my all my resources and opportunities too to make my gaming experience worth while and fun so in my first 3 months playing in the game, i looked for a better clan with more active players esp in cb and somehow competent in cvc. does that mean that im not f2p anymore? i would argue that its still part of f2p experience. just like the freebies we getting from promo codes, not everyone knows or updated with these kind of stuff, but were getting something still for free so we still consider ourselves f2p, right? unless its one of the agreed mechanics or rules of the challenge before it started.
Clans are a part of the game. If I was regularly 1 keying Normal CB and the rest were barely 1keying and we were not even killing the CB, I would be looking to change clans so that I could progress. Your account is only as good as you want it to be, and sometimes it is clans and arena that is holding you back. You have to do what is right for your account otherwise it could be months before your account is where you want it to be. The "f2p experience" is the ability to do what you want with the resources you have without paying money for it. Clans are a feature of the game, so you shouldn't restrict it to 'new clans only'. If you wanted this to happen, it should have been discussed at the start of the competition. The community is participating in this tournament as well, and to suddenly change the rules would be saying to people "You used the mechanics of the game, you cheated! I don't like it".
The reason that quite a few players are so far ahead of us is that they profit from a very generous new player mercy system which guarantees legendary champions from ancient shards very early on. Why some players get this while others don't, I do not know. But it makes for an unfair comparison.
I'm pretty sure I'm dead dead last in this thing. But I'm having a good time and trying to preserve it for the long run. That's what's most important :)
This event really needs an overall ranking too. Id love to see if I was Rank 10,422 or something. Top 10 is cool but doesnt show 99.9% of the players in the event
Please HH use your Chonoru. No books required. Campaign farmer...spider 10... Spirit arena nuker... Block buffs for potion keeps.... All she needs is acension... I promise her campaign farmer gear requirements IS THE LOWEST OF ALL... Great champ just give her a shot!
Legit question. Why not just focus one dragon and with Ronda focus on fire knight? Savage gear, speed gear, poison gear just waiting to upgrade the Champs you have instead of clan boss? That would be my strategy just ignore clan boss completely and go all in on dungeons and go for at least 5 star gear.
Hey guys kinda need some advice I'm ftp and I'm gutted I didn't get in on hades group and clan but I have a kael level 60 all masteries and I'm ready for my 2nd level 60 but I've don't no who to take I have alot of good champions I got lucky I have elhain deacon athel ronda skimfos the consumed sepulcher sentinel zargala and corpse collector so who u wreckon guys who's my next 60 also athel kael and deacon r fully booked too
Before watching the video, I have to say, what makes Eherbad a great F2P player is not racing to level up and being the best, it is extremely conservative play. I would be interested to see what is said in the video, but I wouldn't have expected to top the first few months lists, but wonder if his growth is better overall
One of the problems with trying to join a high level clan is that most of them have minimum Player Power requirements. So the average f2p who is only 2-3 weeks into the game won't even qualify to join them.
all the talk about how "lucky" the other content creators pulls are, why do we never here the same talk about "luck" on the main account ? i miss BGE !
Isn't one of the top tips you have always, repeatedly, given in beginner guides that if your clan is not at the level you are progressing to, DO NOT STAY THERE - you have to push move on and do what's best for your account.
i disagree with the dude saying they should just be able to join good clans right away for the high clan level rewards. If a clan genuinely let you in, sure. If you're joining a high level clan way earlier than you could normally, that seems cheap. However, I do agree with HH saying if you could do Brutal or UNM then yea go for it. If you earn it fine, if you're given it then no
I'm going to be a Debby Downer here and say I actually agree that starting at lvl9 is not a ftp experience. Unless you know what you're doing, you will most likely pick the auto select function and that will never send you to a lvl9 clan. As a global experience it would kind of shift the aspect of competition too in my opinion. (Are you in a lvl9+ clan? No? Get rekt I guess) And the ones being in a lvl 9 clan won't get any recognition because they had an advantage. Having everyone start from the bottom just brings so much more unity to this whole thing. Hell, at a certain point you could even start comparing clans as a fun challenge! My opinion, and obviously people have different perspectives.
@@littlepawML Not sure how you come to that conclusion. I only said I think the whole concept has more merrit starting from scrap and everyone at the same starting field. This way you can really tell the difference between vets and new players. If you have a difference from the start, there will always be the excuse of: " Oh, but you started in a clan with more advantages". Again, I don't care what people do, but the challenge was supposed to be a comparision afaik, and that only works on an even playing ground. My two cents
to win you need to get the top chest in hydra nightmare AND beat all of doom hard with ONLY 2 champions. AND you need to place number 1 in platinum arena every week for 48 weeks strait.
people think eharbad is doing some black magic f2p, but like, all he does is 1) have discipline 2) not waste resources that's pretty much it, 99% of players cant maintain these rules so they fall behind on efficiency, and he plays A LOT
on the question of clan, i had to be able to hit UNM 3-key and pull 100k+ in CvC in order to join a lvl 9 clan. it's delusional to say you can just jump in one as F2P
But when I was a low level that's exactly what I did, there's 100s of clans out there that are high level that don't take the game too seriously, they do their UNM cb and down, and then just do their best on cvc it's not the end of the world, for months I wasn't even doing much points in cvc I was just focused on bettering my account and they understood that
im enjoying the salt mining from the idea of leaving the clan! ive not even joined a clan in my FTP its entirely for referral and it just runs campaign forever.
@@cryptfire3158 apart from getting kicked as I don't play it daily... In fact it's kinda benefits not playing a while as you get welcome back gifts, which can be void shards...
If Eharbad is that good of a FTP player looking at his FTP main account he should be well in the lead by now. Yes, he has work to do etc and a life outside Raid. Seems to me he is the most luckiest player to pull that many champs on his FTP Main Account to his FTP 2023 account. He's an amazing player but in the back of my mind something is not quite right when looking at his both accounts.
Honestly, the WHOLE guild and F2P and you guys trying to replicate that, WITH your experience and mentality is kind of insane out of the gate... Its like you would have to join seperate clans, BUT putting it all together is better for the Challenge and fun vs realism. I guess maybe their are more 'active' clans, but your clan is cordinated and a guild and that is hard to find in ANY game.
Eharbad fake? Evidence? Just because he's achieved a lot? His main account is pretty old, so no surprise a person who puts a lot of time into the game comes out with big achievements.
Check out Eharbad's progress here: www.youtube.com/@Eharbad

He can get a samsung fold and maintain two accounts by loading one of them in a secure folder, thats how i play my two poke go accts on the same phone
Yakarl is amazing. Extremely underrated for some reason
HH had poor luck but Eharbad is even worse. I really hope his luck goes up more to a Saph level and see how good Eharbad can progress.
all the talk about how "lucky" the other content creators pulls are, why do we never here the same talk about "luck" on the main account ? i miss BGE !
Isn't one of the top tips you have always, repeatedly, given in beginner guides that if your clan is not at the level you are progressing to, DO NOT STAY THERE - you have to push move on and do what's best for your account.
It would be hilarious if they split into different clans and all got paired against each other.
Meh. They have the same chance on their normal accounts. It is much more rare that they have to work together.
He has been crushing it in DT!
i disagree with the dude saying they should just be able to join good clans right away for the high clan level rewards. If a clan genuinely let you in, sure. If you're joining a high level clan way earlier than you could normally, that seems cheap.
However, I do agree with HH saying if you could do Brutal or UNM then yea go for it. If you earn it fine, if you're given it then no
Hardly fair lol.
There are peaple with deacon, actual Legos so early on.
Except can't be ascended or booked
I'm going to be a Debby Downer here and say I actually agree that starting at lvl9 is not a ftp experience. Unless you know what you're doing, you will most likely pick the auto select function and that will never send you to a lvl9 clan.
As a global experience it would kind of shift the aspect of competition too in my opinion.
(Are you in a lvl9+ clan? No? Get rekt I guess)
And the ones being in a lvl 9 clan won't get any recognition because they had an advantage.
Having everyone start from the bottom just brings so much more unity to this whole thing.
Hell, at a certain point you could even start comparing clans as a fun challenge!
My opinion, and obviously people have different perspectives.
It's a free to play, not noobies play. According to your reasoning, only people who never played raid can compete in this challenge.
My two cents
you should've checked how community is doing, with sand devil
good luck to both of you
What's the Endgame Here? How do you WIN the Competition?
to win you need to get the top chest in hydra nightmare AND beat all of doom hard with ONLY 2 champions. AND you need to place number 1 in platinum arena every week for 48 weeks strait.
@@cryptfire3158 Riiiggghhhhtttttt...I will keep my eye on the leaderboard to see who is the closest
You have to remember it not a sprint its a marathon so watch out
Ofcourse he is behind because he has a normal job, he is not 24/7 CC, that is way he is more realistic comparison to all of us
people think eharbad is doing some black magic f2p, but like, all he does is
1) have discipline
2) not waste resources
that's pretty much it, 99% of players cant maintain these rules so they fall behind on efficiency, and he plays A LOT
on the question of clan, i had to be able to hit UNM 3-key and pull 100k+ in CvC in order to join a lvl 9 clan. it's delusional to say you can just jump in one as F2P
I have a lvl 10 clan and anyone is welcome to join :)
But when I was a low level that's exactly what I did, there's 100s of clans out there that are high level that don't take the game too seriously, they do their UNM cb and down, and then just do their best on cvc it's not the end of the world, for months I wasn't even doing much points in cvc I was just focused on bettering my account and they understood that
I wish him to win f2p here, but for now those whales boyz cuz of Plarium account got some very good pulls i would say
im enjoying the salt mining from the idea of leaving the clan! ive not even joined a clan in my FTP its entirely for referral and it just runs campaign forever.
if thats the way you wanna go. But, no disadvantage to joining a clan
@@cryptfire3158 apart from getting kicked as I don't play it daily... In fact it's kinda benefits not playing a while as you get welcome back gifts, which can be void shards...
Saph or eharbad gonna win…I’m picking eharbad
yst has cleared level 1 sand devils
I'm the king of f2p I have 30 Legos in gold 4 the list goes on ijs 🤷🏼♂️
no superpowers deacon??
they probably used the random selector wheel thing and just played the one they ended up with.
At least 60% of the people that play this challenge is going to fall off, you can always find a clan, new players can join my clan for instant.
He has a full time job so 😂
I have a lvl 10 clan that i fell into to progress. If anyone wants in.
Free to Play means you don't spend money. Joining a level 9 clan is free stop gatekeeping what F2P means lol.
I don’t understand the comparison and not sure about why do you need a video for this. Just do you, don’t spend, and play the game. Lol.
Ronda is trash if you don't ascend her to atleast a 3 star .
He also is fake ftp so no sht
Who
@@mrvalhalla6577 eharbads main
Eharbad fake? Evidence? Just because he's achieved a lot? His main account is pretty old, so no surprise a person who puts a lot of time into the game comes out with big achievements.
