The problem is speculators and all the rent seeking parasites like Banks, council and State taxes, real estate agents, solicitors, landlords and all the rest are making a killing out of the hyper inflated market, more money is made from property inflation than working. It is simply unsustainable when a working family can never pay off a home. The government must let the banks fail this time around.
