Great lesson. I also was blown away when I heard Black Radio and it changed the way I play guitar. I worked out FTB previously. Would love to see a lesson on Lift Off/Mic Check.
A piano player I really love to try to add tricks from is Randy Newman.. his chord changes sound great in bluegrass and country with those nifty transitions.
Hi, and thanks for your lesson! Any chance you could teach on Robert Glasper’s song “Over” featuring Yebee? I’m having a hard time taking it from piano to guitar. So far I’ve got F#Maj, AbMaj, BbMin, AbMaj. Then bridge is BMaj, EbMin, GbMaj, AbMaj. But using UG for chords is grueling. Thanks again!
Nice chords , Thankyou. The major chords appear to be more like sus 2 chords , for example with F major there's a G note being used so I would say it's an add2 chord and same with the other major key voicings.
I’m an guitar instructor and teacher of music of Over 40 years . I like to dissect chords of music. FYI those first three chords you are playing are minor 7#5s…..G minor7#5 A minor 7#5 and B minor 7#5. Hope this helps because my students and friends of music are watching. I like to identify The roots of a chord and really analyze it.

Love Robert Glasper, you need to do more of his music, no one else is teaching how to play his stuff
Thanks Nick I'll keep that in mind~!
That first chord is very popular in gospel music and R&B, very very very useful also as a passing chord sometimes.
you are absolutely right on that!
This tutorial was so helpful! I love Robert Grasper’s soulful progressions, but a lot of them are hard to emulate on guitar lol
most definitely
