Just had my RCZ become completely unresponsive today before work, wouldn't react to FOB, and the manual lock has NEVER been used since it was made. Bought a new battery before work, replace it, still no reaction, had no idea this was the case since a lot of cars have different ways of fixing this.

Worked fine for one fob but not the other, then realised one that didn't work was an aftermarket one, managed to get it working by following these steps for each button individually, starting from the top
You mean you did 10 seconds per button?
@@chocoboasylum yep, top one for 10secs then press the button to action its function, then on to the middle and bottom buttons following the same process. Have to say the the fob is very temperamental tho.

Actually, you do need Lexia. Have you tried to pair a brand new key without Lexia?
@@vitalii_myt This has nothing to do with a brand new key. It's just resyncing an existing programmed key.

C1 is different to this. Look at my other video for c1 procedure. Same as aygo and 107

Thank you so much for this video. I saw another video about how to change the case etc because mine was broken. I've done that so am ready to try what you suggest. When I used to lock and unlock the car manually sometimes my boot or one of the doors would not open. Do you think it's wise to try this as it would be a risk or do you think it would sort it out. My car is a Convertible so the boot is a nightmare to open if stuck. Many thanks :)
It won't hurt to try it out. If the remote works then the doors won't have an issue unlocking, assuming the lock mech in the car isn't broken.

Excuse my ignorance but what do you mean by newly programmed key? If it's been programmed why does it not work?
I ask because I wish to get a couple of new keys for my rcz, saw some newer designs for sale that will need the blade to be cut but they also came with the electronics inside. Do I have to take them somewhere first. On my jag it was just a case of pop it in the ignition repeat some button code pressing and hey presto.

My fob just stopped working, replaced battery still no joy.Can I just buy new fob,put the original key in it then do what you have just done.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I’ve changed the battery in the fob a few times over the years and I’ve never had to do this. Last week the fob stopped working, I changed the battery and nothing, I could do everything a key should do circa the 80’s but this morning I found this little gem and hey presto I have a functioning key fob. 👍🏻😁

Do you know if this works for the universal fobs you can buy from eBay? My key didn't come with a central locking fob built in but it's a 10 plate partner so should have central locking

thats great. but on my peugeot 407 sw it worked on key just plugged without ignition on. would advice do it like 3 times with ignition on and off with checking on every time if its working. thx again

Thank you. I have a 2019 Rifter, (in Ireland); my remote key stopped working. I tried this trick but it still doesn't work. Are there any other suggestions that may work for my car? My wife's remote key works fine, but I use my key all the time, she only uses hers now and then. I checked the battery but it's fine. I have never changed the battery but possibly the garage may have done on a service. I think it may be covered by the warranty (?) but the garage is 30 minutes drive away, I'd prefer to fix it at home.

No you can't. The metal part of the key has nothing to do with the coding. You would need a qualified professional to code new curcuit board to car. This process is re sync an existing working key

Brother just bought a 2008 c4 grand Picasso, put new batteries in, 1620 type, one fob now works one does not. Gonna try this later, :-) great easy to follow video buddy, thanks for the upload. :-)

@@lahbibt1234 no did not work. Thinking the fob itself, is faulty. Can open door lock and start car using faulty key with no problems so key is coded to car OK, just not operating central locking. Hope this helps.

I programmed a new key for peugeot partner using xtool it starts and lock/un locks car with the key.
But the fob won't sync using your method.
My original key sync worked
But not the new one.
I bought the key fob from hickleys
Does the key need to be from peugeot.

Key doesn't need to come from peugeot. I use aftermarket all the time. Has to be right key for van. Depending on year partners are usually 0536fsk

After changing the battery of my Citroen C3 the car would not respond. I took it to Timpson and they said that there was a strong signal but for some reason my car would not respond.

I used peugeot software to code the transponder, and yes you need security code to do this

Mine is Peugeot 3008 2012 diesel hybrid. Secondary key with 2buttons is working but primary key with 3buttons not working. Tried this technique but not helped. Any suggestions?

I’ve just bought a Citroen Dispatch 08 plate, changed the battery in my key fob followed your instructions and it hasn’t worked? Any ideas?
Check battery is the right one and the right way round. ( i don't mean to be funny with that, you'd be surprised how many I go to thats wrong!) If not then you would need to get your key checked to make sure its sending a signal. If it was working fine before it should re sync. Make sure ignition is turned on and you hold a button down for long enough. I may have stopped working due to your key not working not a flat battery.

i have just bought a 207, I found that the spare key wouldn't work, I tried this & it only sort of works, What i am now getting is the remote will lock/unlock doors but the key has to be no more than an inch away from the ignition switch or it wont work, also it won't start the car, I have fitted a new battery so that's not the problem, My other key works fine so it's not an issue with the receiver side of things, Any ideas please? TIA.

Mine only works when held next to ignition barrel, key has new battery in. any idea whats wrong with it ? Tried a BSI reset already.

I have a car key shop and I always face this problem. However, sometimes this problem cannot be solved and I do it, although it is the same frequency but it does not work. Why do you think that even with the original key it does not work, especially with the Peugeot 207 and Peugeot Partner? Help me.

Unfortunately you can't. You need a fully qualified autolocksmith to code the transponder foe you. This process just re sync the fob from an already coded key

Got the 4 digit code from Peugeot dealer via my vin number, used planet 2000 followed a simple video it coded new key got cut as old transponder died not giving out signal , so pp2000 coded the new key using 4 digit code didn't have to put old key in Ignition was very simple really , car going again 12 Euro on AliExpress blank key/fob

No mate, that I a fiat system so totally different. Change battery in key and disconnect the battery in van for 10 seconds see if that works
Didn’t work for me, any ideas? Got Timpsons to cut a key for me I bought on eBay. Starts the ignition but won’t work for central locking. Battery also checked. 2016 Peugeot Partner.
The keys needs to be directly coded to the van 1st, cloned key won't work

When my dad put a new battery in the main fob He had to reprogram it and after that the spare wouldn't work and also had to be reprogrammed.

No mate, relay is a fiat system. Doesn't work the same.

I tried on a citroen C2 with a new vvdi superremote,all remote and chip completed. But when I synch the vvdi remote, the genuine remote is unsynch from car. Or vice versa. So my question is can the car synchronized with 2 remotes or with only one?
Yes it can store more than 2 remotes in the system

Hi,I just cut a spare Key and programmed it for my neighbour's 2014 Citroen Berlingo,it starts the car fine,but I can't get the remote locking to work.I've tried a couple of routines I've read online,and the one in my lonsdor k518use but no joy,can you help?thanks!
Check the frequency of the key. A berlingo is the same as a partner and must be an 0536 fsk frequency remote. Most PSA remotes will programme in and start as they are id46 pcf7961a transponder on the board, but it has to be an 0536fsk to work the remote locking. Hope that helps

Hi James, my key only works when the car is "active". In other words, when I have unlocked it and turned the ignition on I can lock and unlock the car. But after a while, when locked the remote does not work. Any idea?

It didnt work for me. I noticed when I turned on the ignition - shortly aften the display in the dashboard showed a crossed over key. Any idea?
Does car start with that key. If key isn't being recognised then this won't work. Although I've never seen a crossed over key on one of these cars

@@Cityautolocksmith803 Honestly,when I put back the old one,I didn't even need to do that,it worked without it,the new battery was of "Grundig" brand,paid for it around 2€,only now to check info and find that Grundig doesn't even produce that kind of batteries officially,I will go out and buy Varta tomorrow,and will type here what happened with that,just for sake of everybody to know.
I have a 308 2012 315MHZ japanese import car/key , the only aftermarket key in 315 MHZ is a different shape 3 button instead of 2 button, key cut and starts car but will not sync with doors , any ideas ? did this process
