They never had a bad album. Some different than others, but still good
Winter thrice is a amazing album: erodent, terminus, panorama, the rhymes of the mountain
This song is extra special for long time borknagar fans as it features all three singers the band has had over the years. The bands original singer, Garm, is a guest on this track and does most of the clean vocals (third singer on the song). ICS vortex (the singer with the long hair) was their second singer. He left the band to play in dimmu borgir around 2000, and returned a few albums ago. Vortex was replaced by vintersorg (first singer on the track and also the harsh singer). When vortex returned to the band in 2012, Vintersorg also stayed giving them 2 full time singers. So, again, extra special to also have garm back for this track as he last song with them in 1997. They are all special singers.
All 4 Singers. Lars Are Nedland the Keyboardist sings the first verse. He is featured a lot.

Borknagar had been a band I've really liked for 20 years and finally get to see them live this year.
This track is special in that it has each vocalist from each era of Borknagar. Up north is my favourite from this album, vocals by ICS Vortex (the long haired one with the big operatic voice)

This album is very special! It is very complex! Borknagar developed throughout their musical career!
The first singer is Lars Nedland from Solefald, the long-haired guy is ICS Vortex, who also was a member of Dimmu Borgir. The guy with the black beard is Garm of the anazing Ulver and the harsh vocalist is Vintersorg!
the drummer is Baard Kolstad, one of the best around. his main band is Leprous - check them out if you haven't already!
Intersting fact with the guy who sings harsh vocals (Vintersorg)...he has an amazing clean vocal style too.

To hear ICS Vortex better. You should check out Insight and Catharsis by Dimmu Borgir. His vocal sections on that song are amazing.

You guys need to check out the new Iron maiden Writing on the wall music video. It's the first song they released off their 17th new studio album Senjutsu that's coming on September 3rd. It's their newest album since book of souls in 2015. It's crazy fire for 2021 Bruce is on point. 🔥

Really enjoyed this song. The band's name is pronounced bork-nah-gerrr (the r's are rolled). As the guitarist Oystein told Metal-Rules back in '04 regarding the band's name: "It was ten years since I came up with the name. It was back in 1994, actually. It doesn't mean anything. It may sound like a northern mythology name but the idea when I came up with the name was inspired by an old fairy tale that I heard once. It was about a guy who climbed up a mountain called Loch Nagar in Scotland. That's really it. I just changed Loch Nagar around a little bit (laughs)."
Winter Thrice....a more melodic approach to Ragnarok I would say.
