    One thing I love about this group? Their unwavering appreciation for how intelligent cats are. Most people, especially men, in America regard them as less than simply because more women seem interested in keeping them. They view them as dumb and cold in comparison to a dog, while most people understand that you can't expect one animal to perfectly mimic the other. The dog is a dog and the cat is a cat and I love that they appreciate them both.

    I think it's fine to interrupt them in between videos to correct them. Iv noticed it's been quite a few videos of dolphins and whales they still think they are fish and it's not the only times they have seen or been exposed to them. Whales and dolphins are mammals and I think it's high time they are being told.
    Even the hamster they thought it's a mouse or squirrel.

  • @monicapdx
    @monicapdx 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Good, though some are simply trained by a human. But a lot have figured out these things on their own. My cat opens the kitchen cabinets when he's bored, and investigates inside. A saying among horsemen is if humans had one finger, and horses 10 noses, guess who'd be ruling the world? 😁 There's a video out there with a mare opening her stall door, then setting all the *other* horses in the barn free, too!
    Raeen needs a cat. Often just the scent of one that lives in a place is enough to keep them away. Better if they hunt the rats, of course. 😸 (Raju needs a cat just because he likes cats.) Well-fed cats hunt better, because they have more energy and better reflexes when they're not starving. If he finds a good hunter, it'll often bring the dead prey to show off, or as a present. The more you praise when they do that, often the more they'll hunt. Cats enjoy praise as much as dogs do.

    Crows and parrots are almost on primate level in combination intelligence. From mammals only higher apes (including us) are good in solving a problem with multiple steps. Crows (caws particularly) and parrots (keas, kakapos and grey parrots in particular) are sometimes more clever in this than a small human child. Definitely not all birds are this clever, corvids and parrots are practicaly the highest peak of reptile intelligence (considering birds as the last of dinosaurs).
    Some of both can immitate the human speech and animal sounds and some of them seem to be able to associate the sound with something therefore understand meaning of some words to an extent (trained and living with humans).
    Show them some raccoons maybe. They already are invading Europe, it is a matter of time. These cat-bears are proven to be made clever by humans, raccoons living in urban areas are quickly developing intelligence to match man-made obstacles and seem to be almost twice as good than their counterparts living in the wild. I mean yeah, they are cute but also can be quite a nuissance. In urban areas there are also specific interactions between these scavengers, unseen in nature. Raccoons interacting with feral cats etc., this being poorly understood still.

    • @wonder777warrior6
      @wonder777warrior6 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      they are avians not reptiles. u cant grow new gene information from off the cuts just like u cant mix cats n dogs to create a new species of animals. evolution is a dud and its astounding people still buy into that garbage.

    While this hierarchy isn't perfect the general intelligence pecking order for animals goes:
    Mammals > Birds > Reptiles > Amphibians > Fish > Invertebrates.
    Mice are smarter than they are given credit for as the dumb mice get eaten sooner. Cats are smarter than mice but most people are surprised to learn that dogs are considerably smarter than cats in that they have over twice as many neurons in their brains. That being said there are still dogs who can't seem to understand why they can't go through a doorway while carrying a large stick in their mouth. They are still good boys though.
    The cat with the button is probably like "What do I need a button for? I meow and you show up opener of cans!"
    I laughed at the crow sliding down the rooftop. Crows are among the smartest birds out there and are also one of the few animals that have been observed doing things for no other conceivable reason besides having fun. Crows are also known to use tools. We see examples of this in the video.
