I really like this video, especially since I have taken my Peugeot 406 to three auto electricians, and they have been unable to fix my air-con. I think it's in the too hard basket and in Australia I don't think a lot of auto electricians like these European cars. I'm not sure where you are located but if you ever come to Australia would you please fix my air-conditioning, because I feel confident that you know what you are doing, and I certainly have no confidence after three tries with 3 different auto electricians! It's a shame I love my car so much, otherwise in Summer I would have gladly given it away when I'm driving in the sweltering heat like the 41c we had yesterday!!
I live in Indonesia, just do it by your self. first, check AC Compressor socket then also check in pressure switch socket. If there is not detected, probably your BSI relay problem.
Hi there awesome video. Do you know if this will work on the 2015 208. Or what I can check. My Aircon only works if the radiator fan is on. On the diagnostics it says fault with LIN network 2. If I clear the error my Aircon works perfectly but when the error comes back it stops working again… please help me, auto electricians don’t know how to help and the dealership is clueless.
Hola tengo un peugeot 406 mod 99. Y no me andan nigun boton de el aire,climatizador, baja o subir velocidad. Aveces prendo el auto y se prende solo de la nada los ventiladores no me dejan apagarlos nada y aveces prendo el auto y todos esos botenes y la pantallita quedan apagados. Alguna solucion
Mas. Mobil saya gelly panda.. Kompresor ac g bisa nyala mintanya di langsung. Padahal skring relay aman ada listrik semua. Trus ta bawa kebengkel di cek kata e ecunya kena. Mohon pencerahan mas.
namanya dijumper kalo dilangsungin, caranya cek di output relay kalo dioutput relay ada arus kemudian cek di input kompressor, kalo diinput kompressor ga ada arus kemungkinan ada kabel putus.
Nice video and all. I just don´t understand why you cut the plastic case of the BSI. There´s just a few plastic tabs holding it in place. Pop the tabs and the entire cover comes off. Without cutting anything. ;-)
I can't find the tabs holding to open in back cover from this BSI type. So... I decided to cut off in this area. If don't mind, please shows me how to do it... Thanks before.
AGUNGH CHANNEL - Can´t take or upload a photo of my own BSI, BSM... It´s all in place. But I´ve found this photo online it shows the tabs well. On the sides there´s usually 2 tabs like this. A small tin screwdriver is perfect to slide under the tab and release it. Work your way on all 4 sides presto, done. Having taken a 406 engine fuse box apart, which is of a similar construction to the BSI, it is not possible to remove the casing. This is due to the fact that the multi plug pins and fuse sockets are bonded to the top cover. I tried to desolder the socket pins on the circuit board but gave up after an hour. A hot air station might possibly work, but honestly, if videos like this show you the location of the faulty relay, cutting open the BSI is minutes work.

Where is this relay located??? Why not put it in the video? This is the most important info.

PEUGEOT 406 MK2 use rain sensor to change low/high wiper speed automatically.
My 406 is model 2001. Automatic rain wiper not works now. Do you know, where the fault would be? It stopped working surprisingly.
