WSU alum...thought his hiring back in the day was a mistake for the Cougs. I was glad to be wrong. Always seemed approachable, personable, except when he got angry. College football lost a master technician on the field and a genuine character on/off of it. Sayin' the same things as many but Rest in Peace Coach.

Amazing what Mike Leach can do with a football team. He was out in the middle of nowhere (but it's beautiful) in Eastern Washington and it's VERY hard to recruit teens there... Regardless, he was able to do well. It will be interesting to see how well he does in the SEC where he will be able to attract more talent. In 2018, he won 11 games and finished ranked 10th in coaches and AP.
