Great review. The non- live version of this song is very upbeat and dancy but I actually prefer this slower dramatic version. Apparently she wrote the song about her relationship with the music industry, fame, and her experience going through x-factor.
I believe it is live but probably more than one take. Jade is an insanely talented vocalist and over the last 12 years we’ve seen her prove it over and over again.
I feel like Jade has been working a lot on her vocals and her confidence to do those notes since the beginning of her solo career, i'm so happy to see/hear that. Midnight Cowboy or Fantasy by Jade next maybe ?? she did a live perf on BBC music (Angel of my dreams or Fantasy) or her Live Lounge on BBC radio perf
I do believe the audio is live, but doesn't belong to the video we see. There are movements that don't match her voice. She ate this nevertheless🙏🏼 Edit: Now that I remember, she actually posted videos of her in the studio recording this version of AOMD.
Hey, Zoe. I hope you're well. Serious question... This song is the epitome of vocal gymnastics. I cannot sing. However, when I sing this incredibly difficult song, I genuinely think I'm crushing it; like record deal crushing it. What's that all about? I'm not delusional... I know I can't sing. So, why do I think I sound so good? lol Also, Simon Cowell's entertainment company is named "Syco". Jade's lyrics: "Selling my soul to a "psycho"... they say I'm so lucky. Better act like you're lucky, Honey." Clearly a reference to Simon. But also such an accurate depiction of people in the entertainment industry, Judy Garland comes to mind, who were/are told to essentially be grateful that you're in a position to be abused and exploited; even if it costs them their lives. Jade's lyrics: "You don't care that I'm mad, care that I'm sad... It's so bad, it's funny. (You don't) care if I cry, care if I die... You only care about money." Very dark and sadly accurate for many people.
This was a great reaction, thank you. Jade is definitely the angel of my dreams
Same!!

Angel Of My Dreams has been one of my favourite songs released this year! I love this version of this song as well!

i love jade, she is a star
the performance is live, but some things don't match up because they had to take multiple shots and angles to make the performance video
you're amazing at explaining things, and it's so useful! keep it up :)
Thank you so much!🥰
