I came here somehow by this being in my auto-play list after Tommy Guerrero's Road to Knowhere so probably the algorithm brought me here, but also my fine taste in music. Listened to this sober earlier today and I liked some of the grooves a lot, while the rest I liked but I felt like they didn't fit in this compilation. However, a little bit later after a few puffs I listen to this once again and I can't believe how well put together it is. Bas Lester Ensample's Ye yeah made me jump out of my chair and play it out on the cajon that I occasionally play by ear and it came out as a wonderful joyous experience. You can't buy that anywhere and since I listened to this for free I am grateful to all the artists and whoever made this, possible.
I agree, on the first listen, it may sound the tracks don't go together well. But, when you listen to the mix more carefully, when you let it drive you, then it feels awesome. Every song is like another vessel but all together, they take you to an amazing journey. That's actually the concept behind mixes. I have a lot of experience in curating, compiling and DJing and I have very big music library so, when starting these mix series, I wanted to experiment with multigenre tracks and try to blend them together.
