This is great, I have been transitioning from full religious veil for some time now, But this is so easy and comfortable That I will be wearing one in public for the first time . I have been covered since I was fourteen and this still allows me to be covered and at peace in my faith, Thank you for the tutorial. Peace.
It's these 2 in 1's that really caught me lol, I have over half the colors in my shopping list, I love that soft material! I've always wanted nice braids but my hair is too fine, so these are wonderful!
I noticed that all the ladies on this channel wear beautiful shirts with high necklines. I would like to see how you all style your pants and skirts to go with tichels and awesome jewelry!
i guess Im randomly asking but does anybody know of a way to get back into an instagram account..? I somehow forgot the login password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me
@Gatlin Keaton thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
These are just amazing and beautiful. Unfortunately I have a very round face and look just terrible in such head gear. I loved Jerusalem. It felt like home.
If you have short hair and no shaper, this is great with large square (triangle) scarves. You can use a lot of bobby pin to secure things in place really well, then shove the extra third tail of the triangle up underneath itself to form the "bun" for the style. Then once everything's all braided and in place, remove the stabilizing bobby pins. Works like a charm, but does take a bit longer to do as well as much more finagling. And of course it's a bit heavier on the head (and hotter; definitely don't recommend if you're in the middle of a 110*f summer, hA).
Amei pois vou adotar a moda de usar turbantes desses modelos que as meninas colocaram no tutorial. Muito bom diferente chic e lindo os lenços pois não vejo a hora de começar a usar los logo
You're so very welcome! Have you ever tried tying them over a No-Slip Headband? Wrapping over one of those can be a total lifesaver and truly does keep everything in place throughout the day. That might sound like a sale's pitch, but it really is the truth! We haven't been able to find any other method that works nearly as well. :) www.wrapunzel.com/product-category/essential-tools/
It’s amazing how much where the braids go can change the look. Took me a very long time to find which styles suited my face and features. Just play one day/night with a mirror (or even better, a phone with camera) and try even this same style, with the braids crossing where they do here (far back), then above/slightly behind the crown of your head, then centered more forward, and then finally with the braids crisscrossing at the top of your head. Same style, completely different looks. Also if you’re not already a member and if you are on Facebook, check out the Wrapunzel community Facebook group. It’s a supportive, positive, creative group of thousands of wrapping women from all backgrounds, sharing their styles and discoveries, and even just what they’re wearing that day for inspiration.

I am not Jewish but grew up in a Jewish community in South Africa. I have a friend who is losing her hair through chemotherapy and I remembered the ladies at home with their head coverings. How do you do this if you don't have the hair for a bun? Bevakasha.
Or if nothing else we are velvet headband and then coil up a different scarf to put underneath your top scarf can make it seem that there is hair underneath. That extra length also gives you more space to try different styles with coils or braids. That’s what I did until I figured out approximately what size of volume I was looking for and I am now the proud owner of both the signature shape and a classic shaper, and also a Wendy shaper.
Velvet headband! As much as I dislike the texture and feeling of velvet I would never give up my belt velvet headband for head wrapping. It’s soft but has just enough crap to hold the scarves on and not so rough that damages my hair. They even have volumizers and shapers with the velvet already sewn in. Wrapunzel.com. 10/10 highly recommend!
@SewardWriter I buzzed my hair down to nearly nothing (during covid) last year, and my shapers actually stayed on even better than on more hair! I love love love my wrapunzel cloud 9 shapers, because of the tapered headband it doesn't matter that I don't have a bun, it doesn't ride up at all no matter what I do.
Necro-posting here, but did you know that the Electronic Arts game, The Sims 4, uses this exact same wrap in their game that you can put on your female Sims? I thought that was really interesting, and I use it all the time!
I use a velvet headband, snug but not tight. Between that and crisscrossing my scarves behind my head and tying as few knots as possible has limited my headaches but also the wear and tear on my edges. But some women like it tighter.
Hi, Amiya! Check out our website for head scarves, volumizers, and accessories! www.wrapunzel.com And check out the description box for the links to the items shown in this video.
Thank you so much. Also, I am of the christian faith and recently I felt as though wearing a covering is something I should do to honor my husband. Looking for options is how I came across your videos. I'm just worried in wearing this particular type I may offend those of the jewish faith. Do you think it is ok for me to do so and if so are there certain customs I should keep in mind when wearing one or do you think I should consider a different type of covering such as a bandana of something of that nature? Thanks so much!
That's actually a question we get asked so frequently that we made a video on the subject- "Is it Offensive if I Wear a Tichel" goes into it, in depth! The short answer is no. Women around the world cover their hair with scarves for all sorts of reasons and it is not "owned" by any one faith or culture. You can find the video on our TH-cam channel, here: th-cam.com/video/JK8I7keJzhw/w-d-xo.html Hope that helps!
Does anyone have issues with painful ears while wearing a scarf ?? I wore headscarf on few occasions , different styles but my ears get painful after a short while. In adition , my head gets super itchy even if its the softest cotton or silk scarf . My head, ears , hearline , nape , all gets itchy , i cant stand it 😥
Well... My ears sometimes hurt when I wrap too tight, but I wear glasses and now, with the mask, it's just a bit much for my ears I guess. What helps me is wearing a shaper that I can't adjust too tight (cloud9) and remembering not to pull the scarf as if my life depended on it. The shaper makes everything stay put, so it can't itch because stuff is moving around. That said, of course I still sometimes get itchy. But I get itchy without a scarf as well, so there is that. If you have dry skin, remember to moisturise because the scarves might dry out your skin a bit more because they wick away moisture just like clothes do.
It certainly can be. Christian, Jewish, and Muslim women all traditionally cover their hair for religious reasons. But many women choose to cover their hair, for instance, if they have lost it due to Chemo treatment or alopecia, and others choose to cover their hair for fashion. It really varies from woman to woman. I am an Eastern Orthodox Christian, and I cover my hair because St Paul's first letter to the Corinthians says that a woman should cover her head while praying. Many of the early church fathers say that if you're doing it right, you are praying all the time. Let me be the first to tell you that I fall very short of this. Frequently. But I cover my hair for those moments that I succeed. Hope this was helpful.
+denise cryer Great question, Denise! We've found that different women have different tolerances for layering in the heat. For many, layers in hot climates are tolerable if they spend most of their time indoors where there is air conditioning, too. The scarves used here are very thin, which helps keep it light on your head.
No hotter than hair ;-) Honestly, I've been wrapping for years now and even while camping in summer I prefer wearing a scarf and shaper to just my hair.
I'm Muslim and have been searching for some more turban-like styles. Your channel is exactly what I was looking for! So beautiful!
Aww, thanks so much, @Samiya! We're so glad you found us!
I'm Christian and I'm going to wear this kind of headcovering. Thank you so much

Well a great success for me, stopped by all to ask how and of course why, This still allows me to wear a long veil if needed. Grand just Grand, Thanks

Wear a shaper underneath with stuffing. Works a treat.

Hi! I am new with this. Which is the perfect size of the scarfs ?
Hi! Long, rectangular scarves are ideal. Check out our website (www.wrapunzel.com) - we've got tons of them!
My scarves always slip no matter what I do, what am I doing wrong? Thanks
