Yeah I can confirm - I did a class once and I never felt a punch like it. The instructor hit me a couple of times and days later these bruises appeared like internal bruising.

I KNOW this feeling thanks to my Xingyiquan teacher. It's like plunging a heavy brick or stone into the ocean and it reverberates throughout your body. Old school martial arts wanted to hurt your organs like how boxing hits the liver at times.

This is the same as the taiji hollow fist. I do a demo on the bag on my chan. Back in the day the old Russian guys told me systema was Chen taiji and Sambo mixed together by prison guards. Really does seem that way.

Also one more thing?, what I like to use about Aikido is the weapon system?, like I said before I've had gotten really violent situations with weapons before?, because where I come from you get really big whacked out Native Americans that are somewhat half tough, but when getting the upper hand on them they tend to be sore losers about it and can't take defeat lightly?, and they tend to grab weapons themselves sludge hammers sticks Bats you name it?, and even start trying to Chuck Big heavy shit at you, trying all their hardest just to kill you Native Americans are like coyotes they'll chew their own arm off just to win fights, even if they have to outnumber one guy they'll go break to all their friends that they still beat you even if they done it unfairly?, and what I like about Aikido always made me know how to use the weapons even better and more efficient than the average Joe that trying to use the weapon on me, see what I mean?.

Yes! Thank you ,Dan, for beating once and for all this stupid, nonsense idea of MMA guys, that say-""oh,MMA is the only real thing!" In real life, traditional martial arts are way more dangerous and MMA is just a part of traditional martial arts, nothing more! I'm practicing MMA and traditional martial art (Yang Taiji) at the same time- it's wonderful!! MMA is great for basic combat skills, for sport, endurance and good shape, but traditional martial arts ,when it comes to fight with no restrictions, are the real deal!
