Urdu and Hindi are both akin to each other. But Urdu, in the present context is locally spoken language while Hindi is not. This difference is to be understood.

Hindi and Urdu are 99% same
There is huge difference between Hindu and Urdu
Urdu aur Hindi mein difference hai toh hai
Urdu :- Farsi, Turkic, and some arabic words aur Hindi Grammar se bani hai
Without Hindi sentence urdu is nothing
Urdu = Hindi Sentence + Arabic/Persian/Turkic words
For eg.
In Hindi :- Aap ka bohot Dhanyavaad
In Urdu :- Aap ka bohot Shukriya
In Hindi :- Mein ne ye Pustak padh liya
In Urdu :- Mein ne ye Kitaab padh liya
In Hindi :- Usne uss Manushya ka Shish Dhad se alag karke uski Hatya kar di
In Urdu :- Usne uss Aadmi ka Sar Tan se Juda karke uska Katal kardiya

Congres real Goal - Creating of South India into "Separate Nation". They have realized they stand no chance in North India in the long run, so divide India into 2 Parts, Rule over South as a separate Nation. Urdu will be used as "Common Language" to unite all of their Vote Bank.

Got to say, hindi is native to this land and urdu was a modified language of persian mixed with hindi in the 1400's or 1500's. So why is this foreign language a part of the constitution and why is hindi given a back seat in comparison to this language? Useless decision.

Even in the areas where the Urdu speaking people are more, it is not necessary to make Urdu as a requirement for a job in that district. Even in those districts where the Urdu speaking people are more they know the language of the state and speak in public in the language of that state. There is no necessity to make Urdu compulsory.

Hindi is the most spoken language,. But non Hindi speaking people are in large majority in total. In the present context Urdu is a locally language. It is NOT correct to compare Urdu and Hindi in the present context.
