Wow, love this. I'm picturing her going in and out of the hotel. I'm a huge fan of hers. I have plenty of her magazines from the 30's-50'. Very informative. TY.
Am surprised that they were legally able to tear it down since per 10:10 there's a plaque saying it's a historical property designated as a significant cultural resource. You wouldn't happen to know which of the windows was the window to Joan's apartment would you? Thanks!
It's pronounced Doo cane. Duquesne. Like the General. Starts at Van Buren . The committee to name Culver City Streets liked Generals. LaSalle, Braddock, Washington, Madison, Irving, etc
What year did Joan buy her first home? Did she buy it with a loan from MGM? If she only stayed in the little apartment for a year or so, did she move to another apartment or was she able to get a house at a fairly young age?
I had heard her say in her biography that she had the home forever. When she moved to a penthouse apartment in New York with her fourth husband she finally sold the house and practically all of its contents.
I am sure like me Clyde you are a targeted individual, as you always have people hanging around and coming out of doors when you make your videos and that guy on his phone with the red t shirt on looks a classic gang stalker to me . I may be wrong but I have noticed it a lot on your videos over the years.

That building has no redeeming architectural interest to salvage. Surely the land has more value to tear it down and build a highrise
He keeps repeating himself over and over. Way to much back story.
He does his best and has lots of great info to share... thanks Clyde!
