    Thanks Wade! This was exactly the video that I was looking for and I really appreciate you taking the time to make the comparison between the two versions.

    Nice comparison. LT2 has some smart improvements. There are dealers around that have great deals on LT1s trying to clear stocks for the new one. For people that just want a good kayak for less.

      So true and now with the high seat availability and the updated came side straps that would be a killer deal

    On the LT1, I attach rod leashes to the cat eyes behind the seat. I use the Yak Attack rod holders that do hold them securely, but I use rod leashes just in case.

      That makes sense i forgot that some have used it for that. Thanks for the feedback

    GREAT review, captured a few things the Crescent walk-thru did not. Really appreciate the detail. I have the LT1 and personally do not see enough value to upgrade. I did jury-rig a few features on mine like velcro some plastic business card holders on the seat side of the kayak, between the seat and the side, to hold soft plastics and items, added a bicycle water bottle holder just in front of the stash pockets to give myself an easy access to a water bottle, and am in the process of building some teak wood high riser blocks for the seat. I think Crescent did a great job redesigning the interior of the kayak, but I personally like the looks of the LT1 just a bit more.

      Exactly that’s how I felt thinking the LT still has life and if someone just was wanting upgrade or a second boat could see it but the OG Lt still such a great boat if didn’t upgrade would probably be just fine.

    Love my LT1, few boats on the market paddle and fish well, and this one does it.
    Only feature I don't like is the seat attachment. I added floatation to the seat and no longer worry about the straps loosening.
    New front and rear hatches and transponder mounts are great improvements!

      Yeah The LT1 is still a great do all kayak

    I really want the Gen2 I have absolutely loved my LT1. Its been great for saltwater fishing on the gulf coast. I'm waiting for the pad kits and front hatch tray at least before I spring for one.
    I actually use the forward pad eyes to anchor the front of my crate.

      I was told the pad kits are ready now just needed to be added to the website and have not heard anything about a in hatch trey yet.

    How do these kayaks handle in wind? Wondering due to the raised bow catching wind

    Wade, Your thoughts on CK1 vs Bonafide RS117 as far as whitewater performance?
    I know I have seen you on both; the RS117 was at the whitewater center in North Carolina .Thanks

    • @WadeHarrison
      @WadeHarrison  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have a lot of experience with the RS117 and with the CK1
      and can tell you CK1 might be one the best river fishing/rec style boat ever that kayak is unreal how well it handles moving currents.
      That’s being said the RS117 is amazing for ponds and lakes super stable and so easy to go high low seating and had a lot of fishing features for the price.
      But is terrible in moving currents and paddles like a piece of plywood on the water it’s slow and a beast to turn but stability is off the charts.
      So if fishing ponds lakes RS117 rivers ponds and some small lakes with little fishing features go Ck1

      @@WadeHarrison Couldn't agree more! We've had a handful of customers complain about how stable the RS117 is, haha that's a rare complaint. Picking a kayak based on your indented use is quite important. We have one LiteTackle version 1 left if you know anyone interested, it's on sale too since it's last year's model.

    Is the deck pad kit the same on both. Be looking everywhere for deck pads for my LT2 but I only fine them for the LT.

    • @WadeHarrison
      @WadeHarrison  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No they are very different and I actually reached out to crescent yesterday and spoke with them and they said the LT2 kits are getting the final approval now and should be up in the website very soon.
