The "other cars are faster" argument is pointless. There will always be a faster car. People build the car they have to be unique and have something different. The kit is $3895 and most customers install themselves. They then have a Forte that is faster than most WRX and it's different. Also look at what a quality 4cyl turbo kit with injectors and tuning goes for. We are very aggressively priced on our kits and the end result is top notch.
We drive our every day, every season and it has almost 20K miles and we beat the crap out of it. So the motor seems to be holding well. There are always risks when turboing a non turbo car, but so far the Forte has proven itself nicely.
@@yourmother9246 We continued to build this Forte, breaking records along the way, it currently sits at about 400WHP/400WTQ and has been for years. We did build the motor to handle the higher boost, but purely as part of the build plan, not because the stock motor failed.
@@epicprogamerswithmemes We have not seen any issues with the 6MT. The clutch, while didn't explode immediately, will wear down faster and at that point an upgrade is suggested.
No, the stock axles have been holding up fine. We would love if the kit was OEM certified and the dealers were all selling and installing them, but it is not. Thanks for your interest!
I am sure, we have multiple customers seeing 260+ WHP and 260+ WTQ at 8-9 PSI, so a trans cooler, maybe a trip to LevelTen and some more boost should get you to the 300 mark. I wouldn't suggest it on the stock block though unless you understand the risks of pushing limits.
Yeah, the tuner told me I shouldn't push it to 11-12 PSI, pump can't keep up, but I wanted to see the 300 WHP mark! :) Got internals and a pump upgrade in the works for it! We still on for next Monday?
I have a 2012 Koup SX AT. If i buy this kit, will i need different axles to account for the torque boost? Also, im assuming that its not OEM certified. Haha.
The 2011-2013 6AT has paddle shifters, I would start there. Maybe a junk yard? You could probably get the wheel assembly. Not sure how you will program it to the ECU tho?
Probobly a stupid question too, but, I know with the compression ratio being 10.5:1 you can only run about 7-8 psi of boost, is it too much to be an every day driver. Lol I want my koup to be a quick little every day car.
304 WHP add back 15% drivetrain loss (304/0.85 = 357.65 BHP). Add back 20% drivetrain loss which is more common with the Mustang DYNO's (304/0.8 = 380 BHP). So it would be somewhere between 357 and 380 BHP.
The 6AT kit will fit the 5AT, you will have to modify the piping that goes in front of the trans. Otherwise it's a drop in scenario. You can opt to hook up with BTRcc at one of their custom tuning events and get a tune on your ECU (ECU Flash) or you can go with the AEM FIC - www.turbokits.com/Kia/Forte/Turbo_Kits/TurboKits.com_2.4L_6AT_Turbo_Kit/1351/. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks
Any updates on this car? Did it survive the boost? I really want to pick up one of these and experiment with it - I used to have a 2013 black four door sedan LX (bare bones and super light), and even N/A with the 2.0L, it was a peppy car with good handling. I remember a guy that I knew with a Tiburon GT V6 talking smack about it, and ended up smoking him on the twisties of a local mountain in our region. Took him a solid 2/3 minutes to catch up at the finishing line. I'd be curious if anyone has ever done one of these turbo kits on a sedan... talk about a sleeper. Pulling up on a new K5 GT and pulling on it with a 10-year old body style would be pretty entertaining. ;P
+Azureus Dart Turbo Kit, Injectors & Tune, 3" Turbo Back Exhaust and Water Meth Injection kit and you could make this power on 91. The DYNO was done on 93.
I'd fab my own 3" turbo back but I'd like the turbo kit with injectors and meth injection, is the tune done via flash or some sort of standalone ecu? I'm trading my current car for a 2010 koup sx within a year or so and I'd like to boost it right away.

Yeah, we're in CT so cold and snow right now, but we will 100% be going to the track this year!
This is sick! I hope you can do a 0-60 time after the Flash/Dyno tune

Still going or is it gone?
Exactly!
What's the status now???
What happened???
We NEED DETAILS!!!

Really impressive work on these Forte's!
Knocked just after the start of the pull ;) (black puff tells the tale)
Please elaborate
No, the stock axles have been holding up fine. We would love if the kit was OEM certified and the dealers were all selling and installing them, but it is not. Thanks for your interest!
OK..... This is awesome!
Well. Turbo is definitely going in mine. And I plan on adding other stuff!
Hey I plan on doing it in the near future once I get the money. Any updates on your car?

TurboKits.com I got 150,000 gonna rebuild and get the kit can not wait to push my baby to the limits
We will, thanks!
TH-cam doesn't allow links to be posted in responses, the link however is right in the description under the video :) Thanks

Link added to the description... This is our standard Turbo kit with our new 3" Turbo back exhaust and a custom tune.
That's sick! Nice work!
Beautiful.
6AT 2.4L? Depends on what power you are looking for. You could do a CAI for 10 HP or you could do our turbo kit for 100 HP :)
Thanks! When are you going to move up to the Turbo set up? :)
u are amazing men my forte koup sx have 191hp 182torque
4' short intake not cathalic resonator and magnaflow 2'1/4 and reflash stage 1
if this is for the kia forte i wonder why does it say Mustang Dynometer test report on the top of the sheet report on this video.
We have not tested it on the Forte 5 6AT, are you close to CT?
The 2011-2013 6AT has paddle shifters, I would start there. Maybe a junk yard? You could probably get the wheel assembly. Not sure how you will program it to the ECU tho?

no I'm from Puerto Rico, but I'm very interested in your kit!!! When you confirm fitment please let me know!!!!!
Will do :)
You guys should do a 1/4 mile with slicks :)
How much it costs to do a awd conversion on dis car?
holy shit bro!!!!!! sick ass back fire!!!!!
Could you send me a link to the type of turbo kit you have in your koup? It would be greatly appreciated.
which kit is in this one? a link would help.
that is so awesome
Will this bolt directly on to a N/A 2011 kia koup automatic 6sp?
i have an A/T 2013 forte 5 sx and i was wondering how i can add some mods to it ?
What kind of tune is it on
can you get numbers like that on the auto 6 speed?
so 304 whp on a FWD is probably around 349 to the crank? (bhp?)
304 WHP add back 15% drivetrain loss (304/0.85 = 357.65 BHP). Add back 20% drivetrain loss which is more common with the Mustang DYNO's (304/0.8 = 380 BHP). So it would be somewhere between 357 and 380 BHP.
thx Jesse
How many boost PSI does that forte have? 👀
Cool! But can the kit be fitted to an Optima? We need to be able to take the 20K LX and beat a 35K SXT...:)
+RealLostViking - Yeah, you could potentially custom fit it. However, you have direct injection so you would need a different tuning solution.
Will your kit fit a 2011 Forte 5 6AT???
I have the same.e car but it's an AT. I imagine this would fit in my car and I'd just and my ECU reprogrammed. Is this correct thinking?
What year and what trans?
TurboKits.com I have a 2010 koup SX 2.4l with an auto transmission.
They had a 4AT and a 5AT. Can you elaborate?
TurboKits.com 5AT
The 6AT kit will fit the 5AT, you will have to modify the piping that goes in front of the trans. Otherwise it's a drop in scenario. I did a swap in Orlando FL i got a K24 Honda engine, is killing the Hondas now 😄
Send me link for turbo
that's cool
is this with the stock fuel system? or is this the base 2.4 kit that makes 300whp?
+Azureus Dart It has a tune and larger injectors. The motor and fuel system are stock tho (other than larger injectors for more fuel).
+TurboKits.com which octane fuel was used? the best I could get is 91 so with your turbo kit + injectors could I make 300 whp on 91 octane?
+Azureus Dart Turbo Kit, Injectors & Tune, 3" Turbo Back Exhaust and Water Meth Injection kit and you could make this power on 91. The DYNO was done on 93.
+Azureus Dart Oh, and we can supply you the whole package :)

Does this car have an LSD?
Stock piston and rods? How much psi
Yes stock engine, stock clutch, 12 PSI.
@thedefinitive - Thx
Dyno mustang or dyno jet
Mustang, there is a DYNO chart at the end of the video.
I was thinking about doing that to a 2012 Chrysler 200 2.4 sleeper mode :-P
If you did this to a Chrysler, let alone the 200, you might as well say your goodbyes now XD. That thing would blow up.
awwww yeeeeaaaya
Stock ecu?
This was running the BTRcc ECU Flash at the time, but yes it was the stock ECU, only reprogrammed for the Turbo and Boost Level.
What compression
Stock, as it says in the description, stock motor, stock clutch.
Thx i will buy the kit this month
Sounds good, it is on sale until 05/31/18. Thanks
Until? Why?
Because our sale on that kit ends 05/31/18.
.. (Suprised pikachu face) I want mine to sound like dat.
Mustang is the type of DYNO. Do a search in Google for Mustang Dyne. It'll all make sense then.
LOL @ the people with automatics, its not a fucking ferrari lmao!!
26072021*
Nope, internally stock motor and bone stock clutch & trans
TurboKits.com stock piston and rods??
