Thank you for sharing your collection. I don't have a whittler pattern yet but I will definitely put one on my knives to get list.

Very informative video with a fine collection. The background music is a very nice touch.

Thank you, Music is risky in a video but shopping and music go together now ever since I lived in Japan :).

Wow im.watching this video in 2024 and the prices have doubled. I just picked up a gec 39 in antique yellow camel.bone. 225 shipped knife prices have gone insane.

Brand? I always find my knife is the best, as you should feel yours is also. Each knife has something special about it, some just have that feel. The lock up on the TB Case knives is just so nice

@@Baasicstuff the one I have is a GEC knife. They (split back whittler) are not very easy to come by.
I may be looking in wrong places but i know what i like and don't waste money on shortcuts or Chinese copies.

@@llib51 GEC is the BEST, really a different league at this point. I look at my GEC knives and wonder how I bough them so cheap back when the company first started. I made videos telling folks buy these now. Well dang, have you seen the recent knives they put out? Amazing! Not too many folks get to have knives as nice as these. My point is I started collecting used knives, on the cheaper side; I loved my collection of sub $30 range knives. I have many knives that are worth not really much but for me I like them so I keep them in my collection. My favorite knife currently cost $9

Nice whittler collection! Most if not all of the Case Classics and the re-issue Winchester's ( such as that nice, big whittler ya have there with clip main ) marketed by Blue Grass Cutlery were actually contracted to Queen, to produce them for Blue Grass. It's a shame Queen finally shut their doors permanently. For decades, Queen actually made the knives for quite a few other companies, really fine knives.........yet Queen got little recognition for it.

is that nice little whittler pattern you have with the fingernail file is it a Hinkle? I have one almost just like it. It doesn’t have any shields on it. It has a little bitty button boosters like yours has has only two blades. One is a blade and one is a fingernail file and it’s made by Hinkle and the best I’ve been able to find out by looking up the different stamp they use mine was made between about 1895 - 1920. it’s the oldest knife that I own and I love that little knife. It’s so old and so rare. I’m afraid to carry it out of the house, but I use it for opening or even filing my fingernail. I’m a guitar and mandolin player and it helps with my nails.

I know this is an older video but I was wondering about the ivory handled whittler, what brand is that one. It looks like a case seahorse to me but the shield is what is having me question that. Please let me know.
