Omg I was right. I just watched your vid from 3 years ago I made a comment there saying usually these people don't manage to quit. Same for me. It is SO much harder than people think. I am determine to do it though.

Weed/cigarettes/alcohol were very hard to quit for me but I did. 400+ days no alcohol. But caffeine is something else... people don't realize how bad it actually is. I'm drinking way too much right now

@@mooboo6603 I'm going too. I have been drinking a 40oz nitro cold brew each day for a few weeks and it really messed me up again. Insane amounts of caffeine. I'll be trying again soon. Not today though

I’m 7 months caffeine free. I started feeling really good at 6 months. However I’ve seen testimonies and stories of people saying it can take up too 2 years to see the full benefits. When you hit 12-14 months you break through another layer of improvement. Most benefits I have experienced are , more confidence, more open to confrontation (sales) , better sleep, more calmness, less anxiety, better speaking abilities, more energy and so on. This is only at 7 months for me. I’ve abused caffeine and this was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. But I’m so happy I did. Way better then being a junky with horrible side effects

Thanks for sharing that. I think I went about 7 months the last time I stopped. Honestly I just felt "flat"... not even sure what that means. My sleep was really messed up when I stopped caffeine. It's messed up with caffeine anyway too. Right right I'm at that stage where I have to stop again because it's affecting my life very negatively. Just bad mental health days everyday it seems. I'm going to try again Monday. The first few days are so hard

Hey thanks for the update man and congrats on the newborn to come. I appreciate your honesty in this video. I’m in a somewhat similar boat as you, although probably a few years younger with a lot less responsibilities. Despite that, I can envision to an extent the amount of pressure that weighs in on a man with a wife, kids and bills to pay. I too would like to have a family one day.
I never really had much of a problem with alcohol (despite having a DUI) but some of what you described seems familiar to that of which I experienced with weed and nicotine. I’m more compulsive than I’d like to admit and I’ve “successfully” quit for a brief amount of time and then went out to a bar, party or a friends place and started right back up again. Because of that, I’ve somewhat isolated myself and don’t go out nearly as often as I use to. I don’t think this was the healthiest way of going about it and I wish I possessed the amount of impulse to control myself in those scenarios, but for now I’m willing to go about it this way as alcohol, weed, nicotine and caffeine all have real negative effects on my health. Alcohol (think I’m allergic to it as I’m part Asian) poorly effects my skin, weed induces anxiety and paranoia (even from the smallest hit now, I smoked daily for almost a decade), and nicotine and caffeine both poorly effect my heart, digestion and sleep. Despite that, I think the potential stress relief and social relaxation these drugs can provide might sometimes outweigh the adverse effects they pose. Because of that, I don’t necessarily want to “quit” these things for life but I absolutely will not touch them until I am fully confident in myself to keep them as a treat and not as a daily dependency.
I hope the right day finds its way to you. Like you said it’s all about getting over that initial hump and then it’s practically smooth sailing. I do understand the difficulty this can pose
on a busy schedule. Back when I use to work construction I tried to quit caffeine/nicotine multiple times and ended up becoming an unproductive zombie until I scurried back to the gas station later on in the day. I’m in agreeance on the ailments potentially caused by energy drinks on the gut microbiome and adrenals, also based on my unprofessional TH-cam opinion.
Anyways man keep us updated if anything changes. I wish you the best of luck. God bless.

I really appreciate the kind message and it's nice to know there are people out there with similar struggles. Once one of use pulls through then we know that it's possible. You'll have everything you want it just takes time. I know I will be where and want and have what I want because I really am just happy now knowing I'm working towards being the best I can be. I'm this might sounds unrelated but if you like the read then you should get a book called "the science of getting rich" by Wallace Wattles. It is more about how to become better despite the title.
