Well, I´m a luthier myself and a musician too. I build me a Guitar like this about 15years ago. It has some special wiering and I played it ever since. This is a great concept. Good build!
I'm 67. My dream guitar has always been a humbucker bridge p90 neck pickup les paul custom with a banana head stock! That would be a cool build! Thanks 🤘
Thanks for your comment! I think it is really wonderful that you can continue to pursue your dreams forever. I will do my best not to lose. Please keep up the good work 🔥🔥🔥.
Thanks for your comment! I'm so glad you said that 😊. I also love the guitar called Phantom very much, and I'm glad to see that there are others who feel the same way! You can also watch the next video if you like. Thanks 😊
Can u repeat this whole process but with a set lea paul neck and 24 3/4 inch scale? This one is awesome but really just a cool shaped super strat. I would love to see a set neck 25 1/2 inch les paul with single coils, a trem, and contours.
Interesting concept, the PRS Modern Eagle V also has an HSH setup with a tremolo but it isn't a Lescaster shape. I like the extra fuzz coming from the middle pickup when its used with a humbucker.
PRS Custom 24 Fender Stratocaster HSS (Fat Strat) Gibson Les Paul Special Double Cut, Les Paul Axcess Yamaha Pacifica 611 Music Man Axis Super Sport and if you will, even Charvel 750XL.
Thanks for the comment! I'm really glad you said that 🔥. As for the pickups, I honestly don't know what company made them either. I used it because it looked cool, but it is a regular humbucker with a wide range, hum, and buckano shape! You can also watch the next video if you like. Thanks 😊
Nice job, but nothing new. It's a strat with two humbuckers. The only lespaulish aspect is the shape of the body. Why not a glued neck and a simetrical headstock?
I like the idea! and I love the colour and the work you put into the paint job. I've been playing around a lot with ideas like this recently, trying to get both Les Paul and strat sounds out of one single guitar. A couple of questions... these look like wide range humbuckers instead of those used in typical HSH super strat style things (they do have a lot of guitars like this), and there's huge variation in the way these pickups can sound. Hence why you often see weirder materials like cunife used on these as the impedance matters a lot. this leads me to another issue that I have is that I have with this (and this is how it sounds to me) is that for humbuckers you'd usually use 500k pots to avoid it getting too muddy... this sounds (and again I'm no pro so please correct me) like you kept the 250k pots that Strats would usually use. this will actually filter out a lot more of your high resonances and make it sound a bit more beefy... now in my mind what might be awesome is if you wire positions 2 and 4 to be single coil sounds. such that you still get full strat sounds in positions 2,3 and 4 (which are the best anyway) but still get humbucking sounds in positions 1 and 5. You can probably add some resistors in to the selector in those positions to get it sounding a little less chunky.
Thanks for your comments and questions! I'm using translation software, so I'm not sure I can answer correctly, so forgive me if I'm wrong. First of all, as for the pots, I'm using the 500's. There is definitely a muffled sound, but I think it is probably a characteristic of the pickups used in this guitar. Sure, that part was on my mind too. The one used in this case took the form of a wide-range humbucker. It's a regular humbucker. But I'm a little disappointed in this mysterious pickup, because I don't know where it came from. I don't mean to disagree with you, but I'm sorry if I offended you. When I make guitars, the most important thing for me is to make what I think is the coolest. So I didn't think that much about positions, sounds, etc., because I didn't really think about some of those things! But your comments were very inspiring and brought a lot of new insights to me as well. Thank you so much! From now on, I would like to continue to focus on the sound and the true nature of the guitar 😊. Let me know what you think again if you want. Thanks 😊
Nice work. There is a reason why you won't find this guitar for sale; a Les Paul is totally different than a Strat. The main difference is the scale length of the neck. Then you could throw in humbucker vs single coil, TOM bridge vs trem, set neck vs bolt. If you want to really rock out using easy string bends and big tone with gobs of sustain, you choose the Les Paul. If you want something brighter or more jangly, you use the Strat. There are things like a Les Paul Jr. with a P90 and a Strat with hum/single/single but what you have here is a hybrid. It might do the Strat thing but it can't do the Les Paul thing. Two totally different guitars
Thanks for watching :)
How was the video??
