He couldn't sleep from loud pigs farms, a giant whistle at the saw mill, a train that comes through at 4:45am and a screeching barn owl at the cabin. That's what makes kit funny when he's sleeping comfortably in jail during a riot because being from NY and those are the noises that he's used to sleeping too. A funny detail that alot of people miss

He DID pass the bar. Six years after he finished Law school, when he took the bar exam for the sixth time he passed! That was SIX weeks before he traveled to where he was needed for the trial. The reason he was asleep was he and his girlfriend kept getting woke up way early by a number of different things. The only good sleep he got was the last time he was taken to the prison for contempt and he slept peacefully while there was a prison riot. 👱‍♀👱‍♀👗👗👠👠❤❤

Also, Vinny actually did get permission to treat his fiance as a hostile witness so he could ask leading questions. They had a fight earlier and she at first didn't want to talk to him.

And Marissa Tomei's character reached the actual judge who was his mentor to go to, and while in, law school, who sent a message the trial judge.

For a movie, it's dead on balls accurate.

So let me get this straight. Everybody wears a tie and a belt that can be used to strangle somebody, but you can’t bring in a tape measure. Somebody make it make sense.😂

They said maybe a cloth one would be acceptable. The Judge/Court was worried about the sharp edge on a regular tape measure. Pay attention to details. Wow, I sounded like REACHER there. LOL

Eye witnesses can be wrong about what they saw. I am my own example. I saw a car accident in front of me. I gave my testimony to the police officer. He finally just asked me if I was stopped at a red light. After I found out what had actually happened (the car came from the opposite side from what I thought), the only important part of my statement that mattered was that the car did not stop at the red light.

One of my favorite movies! Question about right to remain silent and getting your lawyer before talking to the police: What if you are a wife and your husband is missing? Or your child? Call your lawyer, then call the police? Let's say you are innocent, you know you will be suspect, but in this situation you would want to call the police and be very cooperative right away to help find your loved one? What do you do? If you lawyer up right away they seem to assume you have something to hide. I have not really heard anyone address this. Thanks!

Great points. But Vinnie did have a New York law license. He spent multiple time trying to pass the bar but he did pass it. He lied about how much experience he had.

I was selected (among 48 people) for a trial as a juror. During the voir dire, I felt the prosecutor did a great job, just stating what the trial was about and asking the questions - felt very favorable towards him. BOT, I felt the defending attorney was already starting the trial by trying to make friends with the jurors and making statements to get the dependent 'off'. The judge even called him on the carpet once. I did NOT feel favorable towards him. (I did not get selected, probably because it was a child sexual abuse case, and I had worked for CPS at one time.)

~44:14 Pesci waves his hand like leaves in the wind, while holding the picture of the leaves.
A nice little acting touch that almost certainly was not in the script.

My stepbrother (z'l) was a lawyer. Defense lawyer. I watched him once in action. He dominated the whole courtroom in a quiet but powerful way. His favorite courtroom movie was Breaker Morant. I think I only watched that movie because of his recommendation.

Perhaps the gentleman needed to watch the movie before watching a reaction to it. It helps if you know more details since the reactor is really counting on that during editing.
