This is our first Will it Fly? episode! We took some inspiration from your suggestions and the movie Marvel: Avengers to see if this flying boat would actually fly!

A TIE Fighter and an X-Wing are obvious builds -- Maybe with combat. Cut-the-ribbon would be cool; more violence would be cooler.
Then float a Death Star. Jedi with X-Wings attack. TIE Fighters defend.
And don't forget the Millennium Falcon as the wild card.
Since it would be a remote control drone, I would love to see someone redevelop a way to electrify the whole body - in - flight, including propellers, to lessen air drag for better and longer lift.

You should take the helicarrier and make it so it can move through water as an rc boat then take off from water too. Basically just make a working helicarrier

I like how they were at the university of Akron, and there was an actually us flying aircraft carrier in the 20s that was named the USS Akron
The Akron wasn’t a aircraft carrier like we know it. It was a Zeppelin that could hold 3 small aircraft inside to launch and land inside while it was in flight

Use a vacuum inside and make it not only a helicarriar but also a blimpycarrier. You could keep the fans but you could use much smaller ones

It's the scale difference between the 2 crafts.
there was kind of. I think they closed it inproperly so there was a hole in that runway kinda working like an arresting cable.

I think it would be cool to revisit the Helicarrier idea, but make it larger and more like the design of the one Shield uses with the two runway setup. Maybe even go as far as putting some turbine thrusters on the back where the thrusters are on the model they use for the screen.
I'm loving this channel!!! As an aerospace engineer wannabe this channel has the perfect content to satisfy my aerospace needs :)

That landing of the Fokker was probably the most amazing thing I've seen captured on video!
I recommend the following upgrades: automatic stilling (making the drop still so planes can land, this is the same feature on the DJI Phantom), LED Lights, A DJI Phantom Camera,Parachutes
BTW it's really good!!!!! Imagine if you added sensors that will move it, when a plane comes near, thus making it easier to land. Imagine if you had a sucker a beam that will pull things near it. If you do make a larger sized one you can add solar panels, and make it an always flying drone. P.S. Can you respond?

Hey, you should make a "Will it fly" video for the X-49 Night Raven from Ace Combat 3. It is a pretty simple design, literally shaping like two boomerangs on top of each other, but it would be interesting...
And the classic H-4 Hercules "Spruce Goose"... I'd love to see if the world's widest plane ever made even flies.

What i think would be really cool is stereotypical Cessna 172,182 frame with a ducted fan unit that suck air in. So the air is sucked trough where the engine usually is and exit out the back some where. I've been meaning to do this for a while but i haven't had the stuff to do it. What do you think?

I would love to see this revisited. Minus the quadrotor flight profile, add articulated ducted fans, and go from 4 to 6 fans, so if one gets knocked out/damaged, it can still fly.

Coming from the RC cockpit video to this its amazing how far fpv has come in 5 years
This Helicarrier was less of a "will it fly?" and more of a "will it hold up?" video; quads are pretty much the most stable RCs ever thanks to that firmware. Heck, you could build a quad out of two rulers duct-taped together and it would work!
Nevertheless, this was cool and funny. I'd like to see a whole bunch of miniature FPV planes try and takeoff and land on the thing! Maybe even have a little string attached and a miniature tailhook on the planes for the landing part...

The Germans in WWI was testing this concept out using a zepplin, an airbourn craft carrier
