Jaguar really got the F Type right. I have the V6 380 AWD , mine is completely black, i.e trims,wheels. When I’m washing it outside the house so many guys have stopped to admire it and I’ve been surprised that so many women do too. Never had that when I had my 370z ! Got to say black is a pain in the arse for cleaning but I’ve now had a 3/4 cover with PPF and a ceramic coat so much easier now.
@@tootalltodrive . With the PPF just means that I can towel dry and no need to polish. You can still apply a polish over PPF if desired. And the film is self healing. Slight downside with black, if the slightest bit of dust gets under the film it does show up as a white dot. But offset against stop chips,it’s worth it. Thanks for your reply. 😀 All the best

Lovely video. I daily my manual V6 on roads and going through villages like that and wondered what it sounded like from the outside. Cool thing for me is to blip the throttle when shifting up gears not just to downshift. It sounds amazing with this free rev engine. If you hold in the overrun when it crackles and pops the most (around 2.5K RPMs) going down a gentle slope and quickly tap on the throttle in short sequences, it crackles and pops even more. 😊
@@tootalltodrive Indeed! Whilst they have a great solid chassis so you can chuck them around, in the wet or frosty weather you can still get them sideways quite easily :-)
Bought a 2016 V6s with 29k on the clock last month and love it especially the sound ,Ive just watched the V 8 video you did recently on the same bend and the V6 sounds better for me . Keep up the great videos and hope you get your car back soon 😀

I have the exact car you have - rims, color, interior, panoramic sunroof, etc., except mine is the V-6, P-340. For me, the 340 is a perfect balance of all the power or performance I need with a breathtaking exterior that I couldn’t ever have imagined owning. It’s really cool seeing “my” car on TV through your videos. Now, I know how people see MY car, and I’m very proud! There are only three differences between your and my car: My steering wheel is on the “wrong side” (for the United States), I ONLY take it out when the weather is good (likely difficult in your climate), and I NEVER park between or near any other cars. I create “ding-free zones” in parking lots at the ends of rows or far away from others. It’s worth the effort to see my gleaming beauty pristine. Thank you very much for chronicling “our” collective journey of the sheer joy of owning an F-Type, clearly one of the most beautifully designed performance (exotic looking) cars for the money.
Weather is a bit difficult in the UK 😂 The car it was parked next to is one of ours so all good, I too try and park away from others haha! Glad you enjoyed the video! 💪
The thing is... The noise the exhaust on these cars produces is brilliant, but the actual engine does not sound anywhere near as exiting. The Busso V6 however sounds incredibly raw right out of the engine bay. Love it!
@@tootalltodrive Of course the exhaust modulates the sound on any engine, but I was specifically referring to the aural experience of the driver. 😉 I own an Alfa GTV with a 3.2L V6 and also a Jaguar F-Type Coupé quite similar to yours. Which is why I attempted the comparison in the first place. I love the way the F-Type delivers it's power and how effortless it picks up speed and goes through corners at frankly ridiculous speeds. The GTV is nowhere near as fast, but I adore it nonetheless. That car has a heart for an engine and it beats in tune with mine. 😀

@@tootalltodrive I hear you! 😀 I traded in my Cayman S from 2006 for my Black Cat. The Cayman is a razor sharp scalpel. Extremely precise and bustling with feedback, but rather ordinary to look at, inside and out. The F-Type Coupé in comparison feels like a beautifully balanced steak knife. A little less precise but almost as sharp and desperately pretty from every angle. Metaphors aside, the Jag is heavier than the Porsche and the balance is different as well, which is why I tend to drive it less aggressively and in a more fluid fashion. Breaking earlier and accelerating softer but sooner through the corners. Hairpin bends are trickier on the limit in the heavy nosed Jag, but no less fun. 😀
The modify, unsure. My car is completely stock. It’s Supercharged so you won’t do much with the power unless you change pulleys etc. maintain (touchwood) I have had no problems with mine, but I also still have Jag warranty and will keep renewing for as long as I can. It’s still a Jag… 😂

Is this the stock sound? That's insane! I had to do a muffler delete on my SLK 280 to make it sound like that and which I sadly can't run for legal reasons.
04 VW .:R32 sounds better in my opinion. It has a much deeper tone stock, what's cool about the Jag are the pops and bangs but that gets quite annoying after a few times.
I love the mk4 golf platform but the r32 is awful sounding too much noise not enough go same as the e46 m3 raspy crap and annoying. And the r32 isnt even fast to go with its noise such a dissapointment

100% a slight feather at 2.5k is the sweet spot

In modern day this is relatively slow probably. 0-60 is about 4.8 so manageable speed, and you can drive it without breaking the law. Hope that helps!

It’s the 2017 version. The s was the 380 from 2014. In 2017 everything changed to P (P340 & P380) mine is the P380
