The name of the fruit is dungs.... Its now a very rare fruit... that size especially.... I believe that's the local name,in the U.S. its called crab apple,which is like a wild apple.... Hence the reason it tastes like an apple...... Sarah Waheed

In Canada(Winnipeg) to be exact. we call those Crab apples. My mom has 2 trees in her yard. It makes good chow. And the white people like to bake apple pie with it.
