this song was the official soundtrack of my first relationship. so many ppl say your first gf/bf will leave a mark on you, because of intensity, inexperience, silliness and all that stuff. despite the fact that this is pretty much true, I remember her every single day cuz she's no longer living in this world. she died 8 years ago, and still hurts a lot. so "i would fall asleep only in hopes of dreaming that everything would be like it was before" hits a little different since then.
I've been saying this for years, the guy has got pipes. Incredible voice and singing ability. Whenever I hear people asking who the best singers, say since 90s, are, he definitely makes top 5, at least. I wish he sang Metal or at least covered more Classic Rock tunes like Lifehouse once did with 'Somewhere only we know".
