I do agree with you in a sense, because Charlie and Kookie killed the duet together and although this spin on the chorus was good, BTS’ fake love has deeper meaning to the boys, in my opinion it was like Charlie took the moment from them. Do not get me wrong, he’s a great singer I just for me it didn’t fit. Also you aren’t being shady you are having an opinion like any human being should be able to openly do. You aren’t hating you’re stating something that is reasonable and in a rational way. Thank you for being open with your opinions 💜.

I understand your comment about Fake Love. Charlie Puth is good and I am a fan of his, but his contribution to the song was so minimal that he could have been left out. And Fake Love is such a strong song that as a simple version doesn't work for me. The choreo adds so much to the performance that it felt like a little bit of a let down. Loved the comment about Executive Kookie, I thought the same thing..
Deena Miller omg I felt the same! The Fake Love Ballad doesn’t bring out the strong vibes as the original one. (Like the background music) I thought I was the only one who felt this way lol. Charlie’s face was hilarious the entire time i was watching it

Love BTS same. JK has covered a few of CP’s songs so I sort of felt like this was his way of being apart of BTS’ world for a lil bit, the way JK is when he covers other artists’ songs:)

I agree. Plus Charlie did the harmonizing to while Jungkook did the melody to Charlie's song. It only seems fair and even to let Charlie do some of the chorus haha. It was a light hearted collaboration and I enjoyed it a lot.

100 percent agree with you and it’s not shade it’s your opinion. He should have done We Don’t Talk Anymore and then let the boys perform Fake Love. I just feel like the way the song was set up then him at the end it just kind of seemed like snatching attention away from them and I didn’t like it idk.

Jose, you are right. Not their best performance for fake love, it's missing its impact. I hope bighit would release the original mix prepared for the Fake Love stage so we can enjoy what they meant to do. They worked hard to include Charlie in the performance but the sound guy at the award show didn't play the right mix so BTS and Charlie were just improvising and sounded some what strained. They still did an amazing job given the situation. MGA owes them an apology for messing up the performance.

BTS and their production team took back 11 MGA awards that night. It seems like they also recorded their acceptance speech for the 4 PCA awards they got the same night.
Other than this performance with Charlie Puth, they also had a performance with a few songs back to back on their own, complete with choreo, So I guess NOT dancing during the Charlie Puth collabo was a good thing, 'cos it gave them a chance to NOT be dancing like crazy at all of their performances that night.
There are fancams of them being all sweaty and exhausted after they did their own performance of Save Me, I'm Fine & Idol back to back, that was a 12 min 20 sec performance dancing full on without Charlie Puth.
Also, there was some controversy regarding their performance of Fake Love with Charlie Puth, 'cos apparently the wrong version of the song was played and that caused Jimin, V and Charlie to all noticeably struggle with their parts, 'cos they were caught offguard and had to try to be as professional as possible & just roll with it as best they could impromptu. Of course, haters would just say that BTS can't actually sing well in real life, but we all know that's not true, 'cos on the same night, they were spot on singing Save Me, I'm Fine, Idol & We Don't Talk Anymore, so Fake Love was the exception to the rule.
We were always not ready for such fantastic,tastful and historic performance!!!!🤗

Loved JK Charlie Puth Collab. The acoustic version was okay not the best. That performance looked rushed.if BTS requested that then it's understandable. Otherwise I'll say I'm not happy with it. BTS later performed save me I'm fine and idol which were awesome
I’m a fan of both Charlie and BTS and I feel they could have done something more amazing if there was more time to prepare. Unfortunately an acoustic was probably all they could have done to fit their schedules. Also it’s your channel, you can say whatever you what, people don’t like the opinions then they can leave the video lol

BTS performed later, this was for Charlie and them together. They had their moment. I felt that way at first. But after their second performance I appreciated this much more.

I loved the we don’t talk anymore collab - that was really good, despite the short notice and time to prepare. The fake love could have been better. Rap line killed their parts but I felt like vocal line had a few difficulties since they’ve been sick and hurt from their tour. But it could have worked in their advantage if Charlie sang his falsetto a little softer - it could have transitioned into them feeling broken, showing the weakness from a fake love. But what would I know - I don’t arrange music for a living lol
I love bts to death but this performance wasnt their best. It didnt feel practiced enough and the boys sounded strained and rushed when they sang....despite it being a slower ballad type version. I think they needed more practice with it is all.
That and they definitely need a break between this and touring. I heard Tae and Jimin weren't feeling well during this performance.

I think on one side Tae sounded like his nose was closed off and also Jimin didn't sound too healthy
But I also think that there were some issues with the mics as Jin is usually hitting those notes really loud and clear and you could barely hear anything
I was surprised as I've never seen such a bad vocal performance from them
But it can't be perfect every time there were obviously some issues that hindered them in performing to their usual standards
@@baepsaebae I still think they need vocal teachers, kookie learned how to sing aloneand he's good but the others need some help, they have a beautiful voices but don't know how to control It. And I'm not just talking about this performance only.

I really appreciate how honest your reactions are, Jose. Jungkook smiled SO MUCH during this performance, and Charlie's heart eyes for Jungkook was just so sweet! I'm very happy Jungkook was able to collaborate with a singer he has admired for so long. I think it would have caused problems if Charlie only collaborated with Jungkook, though. Look at how many ARMY react when it is only Jungkook and RM (and a little bit of Jimin) singing Waste It on Me. :-(

Apparently for Fake Love, the MGA music director / staff didn’t put the prepared music arrangement and backtrack on. Big Hit producer who prepared the new Fake Love music arrangement ranted about it on his ig story. That’s why all of them looked so unprepared, but kudos to them for not making a big deal out of it. Like if the producer didn’t rant, we wouldn’t know.

Believe me when I say we know you not throwing no type of shade. Kookie and Charlie duet was good but Fake Love could’ve been just them. Majority of the fandom really didn’t care too much for the collab performance anyway BUT because Kookie is a fan of Charlie and we know how happy he would be, they still supported the boys. i think they tried to make it an “equal” collab where bts covers one of CP’s songs and CP covers one of bts’s songs. I do think he was kinda arbitrary in fake love though... like i wish they did something more interesting during the chorus of maybe all of the vocals members harmonizing and charlie also harmonizing with them, and one of them would take main vocal for one line of the song. meanwhile, the rappers consecutively layer in ad libs and get louder and louder over the singers’ vocal runs, making a crescendo, and then everything falling eerily silent to close off the song.
i feel like they probably only had 2 days to rehearse and just did as much as they could in very little prep.
in the end, im just glad jungkook is happy haha. cuz i wouldve rather seen a lot of other collabs, but if JK wants CP, then i throw my army bomb up and support

Hey man, I know what you're saying, it seemed a little forced, but I don't think that's to do with the artists, it's a decision from the organisers, you could tell it was a little rushed
I understand what you said about Fake Love, it was just unbalanced with all 7 members of BTS. Charlie just played the piano, if anything I kinda felt bad for him. It would honestly be better if Charlie himself performed another song, since BTS do have other performances later anyways, though it is probably not up to him to plan exactly what he is going to perform. It is in no way Charlie's fault, becs he did amazing.
